Rated 5 out of 5 by Codmandoc Making Our Stay Memorable and Refreshing
The W Hotel, Sentosa Cove, Singapore, is situated in a pristine part of Singapore and has been smoothly integrated into an upscale residential area with newly constructed shops and restaurants bordering the moored yachts. The true worth of a hotel lies its cohesive and consistent approach to the needs of all guests. As soon as we arrived, my wife and I were warmly and enthusiastically welcomed by name, a practice that persisted throughout our stay and which made us feel truly welcomed. The whole stay was highlighted by highly responsive personal care with staff going well beyond job descriptions to assure that some of our wishes were granted. For example, in a very hot, tropical climate, I go out of my way to avoid all indoor air conditioning, which in Singapore is set to very low frigid temperatures. When I asked for an electric fan in our room, the hotel did not have one; however, the front desk sent someone out to purchase one and within an hour of my request, there was a portable electric fan giving us the right amount of natural cooling. My wife and I were sad to leave this hotel but, before we left, we made reservations for a few months from now. That act alone offers clear testimony to our true love of the locality, the high standards maintained by the hotel, and the meticulous care taken to assure our stay is memorable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JK1976 Excellent!
I booked the Marvelous Suite for a weekday staycaytion to celebrate my wife's birthday in Sept 2013. This was my first stay at a W Hotel, and we were impressed!
Check in was fast, and the reception staff were polite and efficient. Got checked in and got my keys within 3 minutes and we were on our way up to the room. The suite was indeed Marvelous! Very spacious with floor to ceiling window panels on 2 sides which overlooks the gorgeous Sentosa Cove marina. They seemed to have thought of all the little details, from the automatic blinds and curtains, to the Bose sound system that was found in the bathroom, bedroom and living room. The sitting area was large and comfortable, and it didn't feel cramped even when we had a group of friends over that night for a birthday celebration.
The balcony runs along 2 sides of the suite, so you can walk out from the bedroom and along the side to the living area, all the while enjoying the view of the marina right in front of you. Room service was quite prompt, even when I ordered a bottle of wine at 2am!
Facilities at the hotel were also excellent. The pool was large with a in-pool bar.. and it's open 24-hours for hotel guests for when you feel like a midnight dip (which we did). The gym was also large and well equipped having both treadmills, steppers, weight racks and some free weights (pity I didn't bring along my gym clothes).
For those who don't drive, the location may be a little isolated. HOwever, you can get a taxi easily via the front desk, or take the hotel shuttle which runs pretty regularly to Resorts World and Vivo City. There are a row of restaurants and pubs just next to the hotel, so there are plenty of options for food if you don't want to dine in the hotel. We skipped the breakfast as we slept in.
Only minor issues for the rooms were:
1. Slightly dusty TV console in the masterbedroom
2. Cove lights that flickered (there were 2-3 units like that)
3. Could hear the light ballast buzzing in the bathroom, which was quite noticeable.
4. Pillows were too soft (had to fold it in half to get some elevation for my head!)
5. TV remote control that was not very responsive
Still, very minor issues compared to the rest of the experience. W Hotels is my new favourite hotel chain!

Rated 5 out of 5 by SentosaCoveRocks Anniversary made special
I checked in on the dot at 3pm and was attended to promptly by Shane, the team leader. He was very attentive to my needs and when I mentioned that I was celebrating my anniversary, he promised me that he will prepare something special for us.
When we entered the room, the feeling of my significant other was that of happiness as the finishing was done very well in the room. She is a fan of boutique hotels and I must say that it is indeed a very unique hotel. The gadgets in the room, including the BOSE sound system, the iPhone dock (which came in handy as she forgot to bring the iPhone charger), as well as the mood lights which made the stay even more special.
We decided to check out the pool next which was fantastic, including huge hammocks which you can probably spend a lazy afternoon at. We tried out the wet pool bar which was excellent.
When we returned to our room after the swim, we were in for a surprise. There was a nicely done rose flower bouquet, a bunch of chocolates and the bed was nicely done all ready to surprise her.
The following day, we had a late breakfast (which was fine as breakfast was all the way to 11am!!!) The food was excellent and we were attended to very promptly. We then went to get two bicycles to ride around the Sentosa Cove area (which comes free!!!). When we returned, it was a bit late for the check out at 11am so we requested for a later checkout at 12pm which was granted almost immediately.
We will definitely be back again for other special occasions!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Agnesing525 Compliments & Areas for improvements
1. Great hotel facilities: 24h access to pool & gym, Msg facilities @ pool. Bose audio system, charger options
2. Relaxing & tranquil
3. Most of the Service staff can speak or understand English
4. Prompt & excellent service from the Kitchen & housekeeping delivery. Food quality, presentation and temperature are great
5. highest compliment to Fafa at the Concierge Desk -- cheerful, courteous, knowledgeable, service-oriented with great follow ups
Areas for improvement:
1. very limited shuttle bus service with very limited seats. No service staff or queue system @ drop-off / pick up pt to provide a fair service
2. Bathrobe-wearing is only allowed @ pool level should be notified in advance e.g. tag with robe, to avoid guest embarrassment. Sorry, I thought this is a resort hotel
3. lack of showering facilities for checked out guests after 9:30pm (after pool / gym use)
4. Service inflexibility: Whatever Whenever is not carried out
a. I went for a city tour after checking out. I asked for a half day room from 9pm to 3:30am so that I can rest a bit before heading to the airport but was rejected. Explained half day room only available to in-house guest from 12pm – 6pm. I don't know what will be your loss but definitely hotel rules is priority to guest’s needs…
b. I was being referred to work @ the Business Ctr at mid-nite (after c/out) but there's no air conditioning / ventilation there. I was being explained the htl is practicing the Go Green concept. (However, lights were on the whole property including closed restaurants & spa) Hotel Manager mentioned he would see what he can do but never return with a reply or action.
5. I asked for a Lost & Found. Without asking what is the lost item, FO only replied there's no lost & found. I'm sure I have the item left in the room as I still see it b4 check out but is not found in all luggage.
6. I tried to get my luggage back @ 3am but no one was attended @ the concierge desk. No service bell is available to alert service required. I knocked on the baggage room door for minutes without answering. Eventually need to go up to FO for assistance and clerk come out from baggage room.

Rated 3 out of 5 by apocrates At least it looks nice...
My first impression of the hotel was "wow, this is swanky!" - the location is beautiful, the facilities very clean, and the Away room was exactly like the photos!
Sadly, that's where it ends. Given the hotel is less than a year old, it should look beautiful, so the real test is the staff, and how well they maintain the rooms. The staff is friendly, but they just don't "wow" you. I had come in from China and wanted to exchange the rest of my RMB, but they only exchange USD & Euros. The day-to-day cleaning of the room is sub-standard (hair on the floor, trash left in the can, didn't change sheets despite the card on the bed requesting it, sink not cleaned, etc.) and even when I called to request a re-cleaning, they still didn't sweep the floor or clean the sink.
I will say, though, that the staff in The Kitchen Table (restaurant) are great - they are very attentive to all patrons, and even had a clown come through to do balloon tricks for the children. The food was great, but if you're an early bird, I recommend giving the chefs an extra 30 mins (from opening) to get everything ready, else you'll be waiting to get noodles, eggs, or anything not self-service. For the price they charge for breakfast (SGD56/ea), you shouldn't have to wait for anyyyything!
Other nitpicks - the keycards work, but are incredibly slow (except the room door), and the pools are friggin freezing!! They don't heat any of them, so be ready!
All in all, not a bad hotel, and I'll likely stay there again on my next trip, but as a well traveled SPG member, I expect more from the W brand. This W just misses the mark, and I really hope they invest the effort in addressing these few things - it would make the stay really a "wow" all the way through.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JoMeg A Truly Wonderful Stayvacation
We were looking for a stayvacation at Sentosa.
Unfortunately, most hotels were fully booked at the time of booking.
We decided to try W Hotel, Sentosa Cove for a change.
And we were not disappointed!
While the hotel targets the singles and couples, my hubby, daughter and I did not feel out of place at all.
We were warmly welcomed and and greeted. And felt very at home.
Although it was a Saturday and a full room occupancy, we were told, we did not have any "congested" feeling.
Yes, we waited some time for the food order at the pool but the staff was patient to explain the delay. My daughter loved the pool and all the floatation devices in the pool.
We spent most of our time at the pool, enjoying the cool music, great food (though expensive) and people watching.
2. The cool decor in the hotel
3. Polite and attentive staff
We did not like:
1.We were surprised our 5 years old daughter was charged for the breakfast when the room rate includes breakfast and accomodates 2 adults and 1 child.
2.My hubby called for towels and toiletries and he heard clearly the operator repeated his request. But staff came with toiletries only. We have to wait for some time for the one set of towels. We were surprised by the miscommunication .
But the staff made it up by not just bringing a set of bath towels but also hand towels too.
Will we come back again?
Yes, we hope to stay in W Hotel, Sentosa Cove again for another stayvacation soon.
And I am sure we will not be disappointed.
Please convey our thanks to all the great service staff in W Hotel, Sentosa Cove!

Rated 5 out of 5 by KB24 Fabulous staycation
We planned a staycation after a very stessfull work week and also to celebrate post bday. Arrived at the hotel around past 1 pm... And was expecting that the room isn't ready for check -in since check in is supposed to be 3 pm, and we are glad that the room already ready though requested for high floors but doesn't matter since the view of the wet area and the marina is still superb. When we enter our room what we can only say was "WOW!!!" The design is retro.. Putting different pieces all together but still looks fantastic... Bed is so comfortable and used the extra pillow inside the closet sorround system "bose" is also great!. Ligthing have 4 different mode flirt, runway escape and forgot the other one. The pool is superb.. Not too crowded.. And the cocktail is not pricey at all..very cheap for some other hotel bar.
We also recieved a complimentary bday cake and it is really delicious.. Breakfast is great though few things needs to remark is that first, we are wearin the hotel slipper and wasn't allowed to go in because of that and we have to go back to our room just to change are slipper which is really frustrating to start the day (staff should inform the guest while check-in about these rules to avoid inconvenience in the morning), the bacon is too salty... After breakfast we tried the free rental of the bike and rode around the area of the hotel maybe 15 mins tops. Then return to the pool to enjoy the rest of the stay before checking out.
Staff are really friendly and all smile and very accomodating to the guest... Check-in and check-out is not an issue since it took us about 7-10 mins. Though front desk really need to inform the guest about the dress code/rule for breakfast.
Overall I will definitely comeback at w singapore sentosa cove.

Rated 5 out of 5 by atshaali 2nd stay already cause this W is awesome
This is our second time staying in W Sentosa Cove. The first stay was at the end of October. We had great time at that time also and we decide to stay here again for our mini Christmas Holiday. My 6th years old daughter actually the one that requested to stay at this hotel again cause she loved it so much the last time. Well, this time's stay is even better. First of all we get an upgrade to the room with balcony which is so awesome. Most of the people that already work there on October remember us. We can see the many improvements from our October's stay. There are more lounges near by the pool. more water toys for children. towel are always available and always attendant that caters to our need there. The breakfast are also excellent. They are fast, effective and always bring the food that we requested. Their cappuccino is also Awesome. One of the best one i tried. The Whatever Whenever services are also always there for us. We used it to request for extra blanket, ice cube, taxi, informations and they always fast to cater our need. We also tried the room service. We ordered the roast beef panini and chicken rice. The food comE very fast. The portion are big. I love the panini...... Not so much or the chicken and rice (but that just my taste).
The other cool thing is they recognise that this is our second stay in this hotel cause one of the manager come upstair and bring us a card with a W Sentosa hat as a present which I thought are very cool. Overall, a very awesome stay and hope we can stay there again soon and maybe upgraded to the suite next time, hahaha..... anyway.. W Sentosa Cove are awesome in service and facilities.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mayana Fabulous place for a staycation
We spent 3D/2N in the Fabulous room and were pleasantly surprised by how spacious the room is. This room comes with a balcony which overlooks the pool and since the building faces the open sea, we get to enjoy the sea breeze and unobstructed view. The decor of the hotel and room was all very intricate and chic - which is expected from the W Hotel branding. The staffs are all very well dressed and friendly with good initiative. That said, I have to admit that we were pretty underwhelmed by the vibe of the hotel as a whole - maybe because the hotel is still undergoing its finishing touches.
POSITIVES: amazing pool, cool bar area, spacious room with intricate decor, fully equipped media system (so feel free to bring DVDs or connect your laptop!), friendly staffs, great gym, best cocktails!
We were given a wheelchair friendly room. While the design of the room is well-designed for guests with wheelchair needs, for someone who does not, I would suggest for you to request for a normal room, especially if you are particular about the design of the bathroom (like me!). First and foremost, as the bathroom is designed to accommodate to wheelchairs, this means that there is no proper partitions between the shower, toilet bowl and vanity area. Therefore, the WHOLE bathroom floor as well as the toilet seat will be wet after your shower which makes the usage of the bathroom so very unpleasant i.e. you'd have to stand on wet floor while using the vanity area/basin. The vanity area in the bathroom is also VERY cramp - so only one person can use it at a time. One other thing was that when we got back to our room at around 3 plus pm, our room was still not cleaned even though we left in the morning. So we had to gather our stuff and head back out for the housekeeper to clean our room - a little of an inconvenience as we would have wanted to chill out in our room.
This is just an observation - we noticed that there are a few rooms with private dipping pool (Away room) located on the ground floor HOWEVER people from higher floors could actually see them in the pool. I think any one who chooses that room would appreciate an option for a canopy cover for complete privacy.
All in all, we would definitely come back for another staycation getaway (and also recommend to our friends) but this time we will request not to be put in a wheelchair access room.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Aeronic Good but NOT good enough for a W
W Singapore Hotel was good. Spacious and modern, great pool and a very nice AWAY spa as well. The AWAY spa which can be accessed by hotel guests was really chic and fully equipped with different facilities for the guests to use such as a Vichy shower, jacuzzi and sauna room.
The big pool was very nice (especially at night). Room-wise, different lighting for different mood gave the room the extra oomph coupled with the BOSE sound system it was very nice to stay in the room.
However, having stayed at another W hotel before, I must say W Singapore is still not good enough for a W branding/pricing.
1) I checked in at about 3.10pm but only got my room at about 4pm. The front desk person gave me a free upgrade of room (which I was very appreciative of) and told me to wait for about 5 minutes for the room. However, we waited for about 20minutes and couldn't take it (since the same guy was attending to other guests that were checking in) and ask another lady for the status of the room. It was only then that the lady gave us our room key. The lady was nice but what I was disappointed with was that the guy who checked us in mentioned only 5 minutes wait, and that he did not come back to us on the room instead, we had to ask. Very disappointing of a W standard hotel.
2) There wasn't any late check-out given for me. The guy who checked us in explained to us that due to high-occupancy they could not give us any late check-out AT ALL. He mentioned that even for Platinum members could not get it. Again, I understand and didn't pursue this matter even though my encounters in other SPG hotels was that even with high occupancy, as a Gold member I could get at least until 1 or 2pm late check out. What I was disappointed and angry with was that, later on I met another friend who happened to stay there the same day and he mentioned that he(platinum member) has a late check out until 2pm even though he didn't request for it. I don't think for a W hotel brand, such double standards/service should be practised and it's disappointed to know of it.
3) Water pressure in the bathroom for the showers aren't strong enough especially for the rain-shower.
4) Lastly, I must say that for such a big and spacious hotel, the restaurants are really cramped and small.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SgPersonableGuy Even If It's For 1 Nite
We checked-in on 23 Nov 2012.
The price offered was $388++ inclusive of free breakfast & 2 cocktails.
Its a nice modern hotel nestled in the exclusive Sentosa Cove. Quiet environment (but not sure in the future with so many development around). The colour scheme is Purple, Grey, Steel/Silver.
Staff are around to attend to your needs and check on you.
Free use of bicycle to cycle around Sentosa Cove (24hrs) to explore the beautiful bungalows and coatlines ( Pearl Island, Treasure Island etc).
Well-equipped gym with some of the best, innovative equipment (eg, a cable resistance machine, a punching sack)
Beautiful and spacious pool with innovative Sunbrella brand floats. Free fruit juices and cut fruits are served (even if it's only for 1 round only). Beautiful fern/leaf-life swings that sits 2 persons.
Innovative "bon-fire" outdoor lounge that make it special even if S'pore is too hot for that.
Branded, colourful & innovative culinery and food display.
The Kitechen Table restaurant is a bit too cramped. No much walking space between food display and dinning table.
Staff (1 particular slimmer younger Indian) at the pool side was rather curt in telling guests not to take photos of its imported red/white float in the pool.
The decor of its room door, purple frames of its washing basin with 2 stainless steel vine lightings in the room are way too tacky. The Bose system console in the room is not distinct enough, so it's difficult to activate the sound system when you want to listen to the TV. Toiletries esp, the facial wash, in my opinion is awful to smell. (Anyone heard of Bliss brand?)
Online chat: The agent answering to your enquiries is based in the United States and do not know about the local policies and rules. She was unable to answer if you are able to get into Sentosa free of charge by showing the email confirmation and is unable to give directional instructions to get to the hotel, considering not many taxi may know about W Hotel in Sentosa.
In my opinion, the cushion covers used at level 2 reception areas are very awful...all the sequin /gold/gilded decoration.
Didnt have the chance to try the spa / sauna area.
It seems to be inaccessible unless you books a spa package.

Rated 4 out of 5 by North Great stay, good amenities, overly lax non-resident in-room stays
Hi there, my friend and I enjoyed the fabulous room stay with your hotel between 1st to 3rd March.
We loved the exclusivity, round-the-clock gym and heated pools (love those floating mats on the pools), the room amenities, very comfortable beds and balcony with great view of the cove, good breakfast and shuttle services, and many more. However, one major gripe during the stay, was the lax policy about non-resident stays. On the 2nd night of our stay (we were on 5th floor), we saw 2 units with private pools on the first floor having private party. The number of people in the room are over 8 people. It was fine early the night, but the party extended till 1.30am. We made 2 calls at 11.00pm and 11.45pm to "whatever and whenever" to inform them that the two private pool units were making plenty of noises, screaming, blowing champagnes and clapping loudly that we could hear it from our room.
We also asked if such policies are allowed, where group of over 8-10 peoples are to stay in a room. However, it seems that nothing was done and the group continued to party on.
We couldn't rest, so we decided to head to gym, followed by the pool to chill out and get ourselves tired, hoping that the party would have ended by then. It didn't. We personally approached the counter around 1.00am, asked if there is any policies or enforcement done to control such situation when 2 rooms of residents had private parties and made a lot of noise, but there wasn't any assurance. Losing 1 night of good rest in a hotel stay is probably one of the worst thing that could happen to any one having a vacation/weekend stay with a hotel, especially a highly-rated hotel. We even took pictures of the parties in the 2 private pool units, which shows 6 people gathering in and at the private pool at 1.25am.
We feel that security could have been sent to escort non-residents of the room by 11.30pm if they were making excessive noise despite warnings, shuttle bus could be provided to escort them out of hotel.
There should be a stringent enforcement when other residents have been obviously disturbed by the noise from particular room. While we liked everything else in and out, and about W-Singapore, I found it hard to recommend to others or to return for another stay until some more stringent policies have been made as assurance to prevent a bad night rest at the hotel. Past 4 hotels we have stayed since the beginning of 2013, this is the first time we have this problem, and it's with W-hotel unfortunately..
