Rated 5 out of 5 by Colleen3 Wonderful Family Holiday
Our family have just returned from an amazing holiday at the Westin Nusa Dua. We cannot thank all of the employeess enough for the exceptional service we received from the moment we checked in to the time that we departed for the airport. Nothing was too much trouble and we were greeted with a smile every time. Our family suite was fantastic with plenty of room for all of us (two adults and two teenagers) to return to after another day in paradise. The food at all of the restaurants was delicious as were the cocktails! I was lucky enough to experience the newly opened Heavenly Spa twice during our stay and can honestly say it is the best day spa experience I have ever had with exceptional facilities and wonderful employees. The beach is always kept in pristine condition and the beachfront gazebos are a lovely way to spend a day relaxing. We are already planning our return trip to the Westin Nusa Dua and would like to thank everyone for making it such a memorable experience.

This hotel offered us all that can be expected on a vacation. First and foremost, check-in was done in our room on the 3rd floor, and we were welcomed with flowers and a fruit plate in the room.
Our suite had a balcony which offered us amazing experience - in the form of five small squirrels that were coming to see us everyday (we were 'stealing' the nuts from breakfast to give them). They ate from our hands, and that's pretty much the best way to start the day. Beach is very serene, taking a long walks to restaurants, riding an open bus to the first mall... and the best of all, almost all activities can be charged to a room, which means you don't have to carry your wallet everywhere. Overall, a great place to stay in Bali / Nusa Dua.

From the time we were meet at baggage collection and whisked through immigration onto our waiting transport to the Westin Nusa Dua, My whole family was made to feel special and welcomed. I have never stayed anywhere in the world where every single staff member smiled and seemed to truly enjoyed being at worK. Through out our entire stay nothing was too much trouble and every need was seen to immediately and effortlessly. Even when we had a little medical problem the in house doctors were on call 24-7 and well stocked with everything required. The food quality and variety was amazing including the room service. The kids breakfast area was a huge hit. Our holiday was going so well we actually extended for another 5 days, even then we hated to leave! We are counting the days until we return. Thank you

Our 10 night stay in a family suite was brilliant. Our room was gorgeous as is the entire Hotel. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to accomodate us and our children. The food was fantastic, especially breakfast. Our room was cleaned extremely thoroughly every day instead of the usual quick service you get elsewhere. We loved the undercover seating around the pool and the kids loved the slide. It will certainly be my next holiday destination, I can't wait to return.

My family and I stayed at the Westin in Nusa Dua last week. It was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with plenty of storage and an immaculate bathroom. The pool/beach area were beautiful and very well maintained. I used the spa twice where I had a Balinese Massage (by April) which was very relaxing.
The staff were all amazing too from the moment we were picked up from the airport.
I highly recommend this hotel and I can't wait to stay there again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ErinB Meant for children. Not adults.
The resort itself is beautiful with very well kept grounds and really nice updated rooms. However, the only time I would EVER return is if I were traveling with children.
This is not a resort for adult travelers without kids. From sunrise to sunset, there is a constant flow of children screaming all around. Don't expect quiet time near the pool, beach or anywhere else. Even during a trip to the spa, there was construction going on and hammering echoed in the treatment room.

If your contemplating staying at the Westin Nusa Dua, do not hesitate. From the rooms to the resort facilities and the welcoming hospitable staff on hand to assist your every need. Food and Beverage are what you would expect to pay in a resort of this quality. we always felt comfortable and safe at the resort the meals were outstanding in quiality and size. Had an awesome time and if I was back in Bali this is where I would stay again. THANK YOU Westin

Rated 1 out of 5 by Lora2012 A great conference hotel
If you are a member of a conference team, this is a great place. But if you enjoy a spacious room or trust to get a generous upgrade since you have been at the Westin Bali numerous times, go elsewhere. They discontinued the club and the rooms became tiny cubbyholes after the renovation. We couldn't even unpack our suitcases because we didn't find drawers to store all of our stuff. This stay was deeply disappointing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jimboo Good Enough But Improvement Opportunity Prevailed
I am delight with my current stay in Westin Nusa Dua which has improved their service. Overall service is good enough but I believe there is room for improvement.
I am displease with the Housekeeping cause they do not refill all the ammenities on the room which is in hotel industry is a compulsory. One night when I need a cotton buds, I could not find it on hotel ammenities which is a normal standard ammenities. This is an improvement opportunity.
I did not like being blown directly by Air Condition on my head or my face, which the current desain of AC in Westin Nusa Dua will cause the wind directly blow to your face or head. I believe Westin could improve it further by reallocating or redesign the room.
I also found the AC Control did not work so though you want to increase the temperature on your room, you will not be able to do it as the AC will be set back to 22C.

Wonderful from the moment you step out of yor car.
The staff are able to handle any question/ problem that you have with utmost care. The room was like home,so comfortable. The restaurants, how can breakfast be improved when its already heavenly? Dinner by the beach is wonderful watching the sunset. The two pools are good to get lost in. Good area to totally relax away from the mad crowd of kuta and seminyak

Rated 5 out of 5 by krum The Westin provides you with the best facilities and hospitality you could wish for.
We have just returned from thoroughly enjoying 12 wonderful nights at the Westin .This was not the first time we have stayed there. We were treated so well, we did not want to leave. The staff from the time you enter the air conditioned foyer(yes, only hotel in Bali with AC in foyer) to the time of your departure are ALL courteous, smiling and cannot do enough to make your stay a very memorable one.

The Westin at Nusa Dua exceeded our expectations and we had a lovely, relaxing family holiday. Nothing was ever a problem and the staff were very friendly and attentive.
We look forward to our next stay and would highly recommend to anyone that this resort has everything including a super organised kids club. Thank you again to Ayu and Astini for our birthday cakes and flowers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chris45 This hotel is all about the guests.
Reviewing any hotel is subjective as we all well know, (one mans meat is another mans poison). What we found with the Westin was that apart from the generally great attention to detail, when there was any concern from the guest a satisfactory solution was found and implemented. All the staff from Management down to the gardeners are so friendly and helpful.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BeijingBill Web Site of this hotel is missleading to say the least!
If you are looking for a relaxing holiday and have no children then this is not a hotel for you. If however you do have children then make sure they are potty trained and not in nappies or they cannot play in the children’s area. The web site of this hotel is very misleading on this subject. To be candid the web site on this hotel is misleading on numerous areas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by octal A great conference or kid-friendly resort in Bali
This is probably the nicest large convention center in Bali (for up to 2500 people), and frequently hosts large meetings and events (including Miss World and part of APEC). If you've got an event for Bali, a great choice.
When it's not full of conventioneers, the Westin seems to mostly be a family resort. Every restaurant has kid-friendly seating areas, plenty of activities for children, and nice beaches and other areas.
Nusa Dua is a bit farther away from everything else in Bali (nightlife, cultural sites), so this wouldn't be a good choice if you want to do things outside the hotel every day, but if you want to have a week long relaxing vacation with a couple of days of things outside the hotel, you can inexpensively hire a car and driver to see many things. There are lots of activities within the resort, including multiple excellent specialty restaurants (although F&B at the hotel do tend to be expensive compared to elsewhere in Bali).
Probably not a top choice for young or single people or people who want to party hard on holidays -- it's a lot more a family resort and middle aged/older people, mainly from the US, vs. a younger crowd from Australia and Europe at some other properties.
The Westin staff are incredible (although this is true of basically all Starwood properties in Asia that I've ever visited), and the facilities are modern and well maintained. There is plenty of security so you and your family (or convention attendees) will be safe, although Bali is a pretty safe place in general. They also do an excellent job of taking care of SPG elite members.
All in all for convention events and families, this is a top choice in Bali.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ssby Fantastic resort in Nusa Dua Bali
We are a loyal Starwood hotels & resorts guests and The Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali not only maintain our view of Starwood but in fact way exceeded our expectation (and I will tell you why below). Stayed here for 5 nights at the end of October recently to rejuvenate and bring our fitness level back (was worried that we will be bored for such a long stretch but wait till you hear from me about the endless number of things this resort has). So there are approximately 300 rooms in this resort – I understand and can also see that the resort was highly occupied during our stay dates. Despite this, the service level was excellent. The minute our transfer vehicle (from Ubud) arrived at the foyer of the entrance, Service Express stepped out instantaneously to assist with our luggage and whisk us through security before heading to the lobby, There were also two ladies welcoming us and place flower around our ear before handing a cold towel and welcome drink – how efficient and hospitable is this!? We have stayed at a number of Starwood resorts before and has never experience this kind of reception. What’s more is they were smiling – some other places may not be the case as they would have felt the stress from having to serve a few hundred guests but here they all had a positive attitude. Moving onto the check in desk, Wawan was really polite, efficient and helpful. As the resort is huge, he took the time to pull out a map to show me my way around – now the map is great! Easy to navigate and clear. There are some resort maps which can really confuse you. Service express was on standby to bring our luggage back to the room with us, without having to ring them. We then received a call in the room from the Guest Experience Management (GEM) Manager , Satryani – we were invited to an afternoon tea at the Kites Lounge – not sure if this invitation is provided to our all guests but if it is this is fantastic! It is a good way to welcome your guests and she even came to meet us for a short chat. Food at the resort was awesome, consistent quality for every dish and worth paying for (it may work out to be double to triple the price of street food but hey it is top notch authentic and hygienic with quality ingredients). The picnic basket concept by the water is brilliant and complete! Now breakfast, the most important meal of the day – you’d expect to see the same thing everyday and that was our main concern as we were there for 5 nights! Not at all! There are variation everyday and the selection is vast! We have been to other resorts to see 100% similar breakfast daily. Novik at the Capsicum Café was very attentive and remember the coffee we have everyday. And who else was there? The GEM Manager, Satryani and she not only helped the staff at the busy breakfast service but also stopped by to chat with guests. You would think that a manager will just sit at his/her silo tower but not here – she is just down to earth! On the activities, this was what amazed us and the main item that will bring us back here next year. This is first Starwood resort that we see daily activities organized which is great as hey you are in a resort! After lying by the pool or beach for a few hours you can hop out for aquacise, volleyball, etc. The Wellness Program (includes yoga, meditation, etc) that started recently is another brilliant idea. We really enjoyed the Program as we were there to rejuvenate – we hope the Program will still be on when we are back next year! Main praise must be given to Iwan at the Recreation Centre – friendly, down-to-earth, cheerful, humble, overall a great man! He is the guy resorts need as he really motivates you and that is because he enjoys his work! If there is an employee award (monthly, yearly, etc), our vote goes to him!
Overall the Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali is highly recommended for everyone who is looking to getaway from the hustle and bustle, wanting to have family/couple time. You will not believe how amazing the people are there…not pretentious at all. The management is lucky to have such a great group of people working there. See you next year!

Our two bedroom suite made this the best holiday experience we have ever had. We felt well rested and had plenty of room for all the family to enjoy some space and for the kids to play. The facilities in the hotel were second to none and both adults and kids were made to feel welcome. Thank you to all the staff. We will be back.

As a Lifetime Platinum member, I can say that the service at this property is excellent. Our hostess Tika did a wonderful job to ensure that our room met our needs and continued to follow up throughout our stay.
The property has great beach access and the breakfast buffet is one of the best I have had the pleasure to partake in.

Nice contempory rooms, fantastic breakfast and the pool areas and excellent. All staff are friendly. When ever I walked past a member of staff every single one acknowledged me with a smile and said hello and how are you? A very nice welcoming touch. The only let down for us was the food (apart from breakfast)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nicman47 Very nice hotel, but isolated and expensive
A very nice, upscale hotel. We enjoyed our stay there very much. I understand the hotel is always looking to improve, so here are some suggestions:
1. The food and alcohol are way overpriced. You would sell much more by lowering your prices. Charging $14 for a mixed drink (that was not even that good) at the pool bar is outrageous. Not to mention the 21% tax and gratuity that is automatically added to everything.
2. The morning breakfast at the restaurant should offer al la carte, not just an expensive buffet. Give people options and choices, customers like that.
3. The hotel should keep local touts and people trying to sell you crap off their beach. Nothing worse than paying a lot of money to lay on the beach and have people constantly bugging you about buying stuff.
4. There should be brochures in the lobby promoting local tour companies and drivers. I felt that the hotel wants to keep you isolated and ignorant to the good deals, offers and prices outside the gated community.

Disappointed with the service and room despite the high expectations.
Found a lizard scurrying around the room. Aircon broke down at 10pm. Took an hour for the service repair before finally changing rooms at 11pm. Very inconvenient as my 2 children were already asleep.
