Rated 2 out of 5 by Unsatisfactory Very very slow check-in process No recognition of SPG status Very poor dinner buffet April 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by good family hotel Positive: Many facilities to entertain children. Broad choice of foods at the main dining In front of monorail station, 5 minutes walk-in Most of staff are very friendly and efficient Negative; you cannot send your luggage to Narita airport by TAKUHAI (Very strange) Foods and wine list are mediocre in spite of a good price. But it is enough for a family trip July 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Best Location to Access not only to Disney land but also to the downtown. Had Comfort hospitality by staffs. Nice Bedding and Wonderful ocean view from the bed when I wake up every morning. I'll recommend to my friends and hope to stay in the near future. March 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pleasant First Experience This is my first time staying in the Tokyo Disney Official Hotel. Sheraton Grande has given me the perfect experience, right from the online bookings (very user friendly website) to my arrival (where luggages were well taken care off and counter staffs are all very friendly and approachable). Keep it up!! I am definitely coming back again, in Dec13!! May 25, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Long queue to check in There were not enough staffs at the reception. So, long queue to check in and out. In addition, no staff for Starwood gold and platinum members even though they have a special counter. I did not feel no benefits for Starwood members at first. Perhaps, here is different from other Sheraton hotels. For, customers who are not members are occupied. October 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by this is great hotel with very warm people The boy who carried all the luggages for me and my friends, he's so nice and he all guide me to Maihama station for dinner and entertainment rather than my original going to very far away, and he refused the tips I wanted to gave him. What can I say more? I can't expect more, also all the staffs are very nice January 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderfully welcoming stay Our host, Chrisopher S., welcomed us as SPG members and whisked us over to the desk for quick check-in and a thorough overview of the facilities. Lots to do for families but still elegant and professional and amenable to combining work and pleasure. A gorgeous view of the fireworks at Disneyland right from our room. We'll be back! May 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Children friendly hotel Great hotel for family vacation. Easy access to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo train station via Maihama station. April 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by shortcomings I was not given a room change to a higher level April 9, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Children friendly hotel Great hotel for family vacation. Helpful staff. Great location. Close proximity to Tokyo Disneyland... April 3, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Friendliest staff ever! My wife and I stayed in this hotel in early April 2014. When you check in make sure you become a Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) (if you aren't already) as it is free of cost and you will get 15% discounts at the restaurants. Yes, they check your passport upon checking in to the hotel. This is the friendliest hotel staff I've ever seen. I've stayed in dozens of hotels around the world and no one comes close to the hospitality that the Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel offers. I cannot emphasize this enough. Japanese people are already super friendly but the staff here took it up a notch. Just about everyone we came in contact with was fluent in English, but everyone spoke at least some English. We ate at a couple of the food places within the restaurant and they both had good food. The sushi bar is delicious but it is pretty expensive. The main bar downstairs doesn't have a large selection of cocktails but the bartender made good drinks. We stayed in the standard non-smoking room with a balcony and had a view facing the water. Our view was pretty nice. They also have rooms that face Disney. The Disney monorail is about a 3 minute walk from the hotel. Be prepared to pay for the monorail. I rated this hotel a four out of five for three reasons. One, we had to pay for parking. I believe we paid ¥33,000 (about $34) for the two nights we stayed there. Why isn't the hotel parking free for paying hotel guests? Two, my wife and I weren't allowed in the hotel pool because of our tattoos. This is something you see across Japan for some establishments so I understand it but it is more of a warning to everyone else. Don’t plan on getting into the pools if you have tattoos (unless you have bandages that can cover them up). Three, the pillows were not very comfortable. I would recommend bringing your own pillow. Rated 5 out of 5 by My Best Vacation ever I was with my two daughters and my wife and we were unanimous that this is the best Disneyland Affiliated Hotel we have gone across 5 different hotels. The room was great, the staff were friendly and the over-all ambience was kid friendly. I look forward to going back on the 35th Year of Tokyo Disneyland. April 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Service beyond expectations I got personal attention and support during my stay between 11-16 June. My son had a very bad accident and staff provided prompt first aid, arranged travel to the hospital and assisted us during the nightlong ordeal. We could not have managed proper care for my son without the help in a foreign land. June 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This Hotel was a pleasure to stay in Staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Japanese style rooms which were a novel welcome and we were pleasantly surpriesd as to their comfort. We would certainly stay there again. Our only critiscm was the limited English TV channels for children. January 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great hotel we arrived early at 9.00am and the starwoods desk took care of our reservation at that time we were originally told we would have a smoking room on the twelfth floor although we requested non smoking when booking ,after consulting with her manager we were upgraded to a suite on the ninth floor May 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent hotel Located conveniently , beautiful place to stay, staff really polite and helpful, easy access to disney and the city as we'll March 9, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by A tad bit less than expected I visit this hotel about once a month, sometimes twice a month. I have long passed the state of visiting the Disney Parks, having enjoyed the rides countless times and unwilling to fight the crowds. Rather I visit Disney purely for the R&R of a day trip offbeat Tokyo and always enjoy the Sheraton. This time though, when I went to the Club Lounge I was informed the Club was full and put on a waiting list. Going to the Club is part of my ritual before dining in a hotel restaurant, after exercising in the pool and steaming in the spa sauna. Now I understand the laws of supply and demand. But the hotel should have a back up plan to recognize SPG members. I saw the Club Lounge receptionist prepare a large platter of cookies for kids on the waiting list, presumably them given waiting space with their parents in an adjoining room. Great, but how come no recognition for adults like my wife and I. At least the courtesy of being informed on check-in that the Club Lounge will be overloaded, so as not to waste a trek there. Just a suggestion for better service. January 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by excllent hotel nothing to say about their bad only can say is a very good hotel and value for money got a group of helpful staff even we cant understand each other but they will still try their very best to help . in my stay can find a single insect in e room lol June 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by A very enjoyable experience We had a great time at the hotel during our brief stay. What truly stood out was how helpful and friendly the staff were. They made us feel special and welcome despite there being over 800 rooms at the hotel! I would happily stay there again June 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Experience with TDR I've been with this hotel over ten years now and still I want to stay there again and again. Great hospitality, of course, room upgrades, of course, great breakfast, yes but these are only minor reasons. It’s just coming back to your home. March 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Restaurants are good We are having the dinner at Japanese restaurant and lunch buffet at Grand Cafe. Using two Kids pass. To enjoy all they can eat at selected restaurant. Food is good and especially the kids menu for the Japanese restaurant is very well. April 8, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy access to Disney Easy access to Disneyland and decent size rooms. The buffet breakfast in the morning gets extremely busy so make sure you allow an extra 5-10 minutes as you will need to queue to get in. It does have an excellent selection though! April 16, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Need service improvement at SPG counter Was waiting for more than 10 min at SPG Gold/Platinum counter since only one staff was available. I saw at least 3 staffs noticed while I was waiting but nobody was trying to help me in any way. December 29, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good features, spacious room This is the hotel for relax with your family and kids. Hotel facilities are great, the staffs are friendly and helpful. Another plus point: room is spacious and comfortable. Will definitely recommend to friends & family! June 9, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by The rooms were comfortable. Room was great except that wifi was not complimentary in the room. I didn't quite understand why chips that I bought in the hotel convenient store couldn't be eaten in the Grand Cafe inspite of us ordering food. March 31, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Convenient and great for families/couples Rooms are simple but has all convenience to make the stay great after tiring day at disneyland. Breakfast good choices. February 8, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great base for visiting Tokyo Disneyland We had a great experience at this hotel ... Enjoyed the space and kid's playroom... Convenient to Disneyland by monorail... Ice machines on each floor was great! April 12, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Bathrooms bad Internationally renowned hotel bathroom, such as the three-star design, take the subway to the city line, the shuttle bus only weekend, very inconvenient. October 12, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by The place to stay near Tokyo Disneyland! Great selection of rooms for families. An inviting staff, good restaurants and places to relax & play as a family before heading off to Tokyo Disney parks. July 2, 2013
