Rated 3 out of 5 by Good short stay hotel but facilities need upgrade We stayed with family in 2 connecting rooms for 1 night before we moved to Kaui and the Big Island. Efficient hotel with walking access to donwtown Oahu. Hotel in severe need of renovation and upgrades - rooms worn out. June 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Grand Old Dame The Princess Kaiulani is perhaps showing her age compared to her splashier siblings in Waikiki, but the staff demonstrates the aloha spirit better than most of those other properties! It is also provides the best value January 22, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by OK OK but a bit noisy. Disappointed room internet in compulsory daily charge was not wireless so useless for iphone & ipad (which most people travel with these days). Booked baggage assistance for checkout but they forgot March 31, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Princess Kaiulani a warmly unsophisticated holiday quarters This hôtel is very convenienly located, basically comfortable. Amenities are at their minimum, services good and warm ,island style! ... I personnaly appreciate the rather informal and relax style of the property. December 2, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst Sheraton ever! I never ever stayed in such a bad Sheraton before. Very dirty carpet....furniture worn off...no wifi in the room....very noisy room...balcony was used off....total stay was terrible...would never recommend this hotel. May 19, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Needs updating Stayed in 2 different rooms at this property, first one the bathtub didn't drain properly, the second one there was no individual thermostat. Hotel really needs updating and be brought to a Sheraton Standard. December 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hotel is close to everything Hotel price met our expenses. It is close to everything even if beach is only across the street. It was all worth it. Highly recommend if you want a nice hospitable and friendly staff, if beachfront is not important. January 21, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Service Call and disturbing guest noise Airconditioner was not working when I arrived in my room. It took three calls and an hour and a half for maintenance to arrive to fix the issue. Was woken up by noisy guests in the adjacent room after 10pm. December 9, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Mrs Masako Neher House keeping was very poor. On day two hand soap was not provided and shower floor mat was missing. Cleaning rag was left in sink by maid service. Requested wake up call was not provided. Welcome apple was sour. April 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location Just steps from the beach without higher hotel prices. Good place for families. Steps away from shopping and eateries or enjoy food discounts at hotel. Staff helpful but could have smiled more. Would stay again. August 13, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Below Sheration standard This hotel is the worst I have had with Sheraton. The room is very small, furniture is old, poor soundproofing, room cleanliness is like a motel. Though the staff are friendly just like most of Sheraton hotels. August 18, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by *** Hotel is adequate...sometimes housekeeping forgets to restock water and toiletries. April 6, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel has easy parking. Located in the heart of Waikiki this hotel has easy parking included in the daily resort fee. No valet parking. WiFi is also easy and included and bottled water every day. We have our new spot in Waikiki!!! July 15, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great Location We stayed at this hotel at the end of November. The hotel was in a great location - close to shops, the beach and attractions. The hotel is a bit outdated (decor) but the staff were friendly and courteous. December 5, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Room comfort Our room caught every noise and it was very noisy at night. Unable to get milk for coffee. We had 2 double beds instead of a king size bed although we had been told we had been upgraded. No ceiling light. May 20, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Gerat Waikiki Hotel I like to stay ocean front but the costs have exceeded my budget! I will definately stay at the Princess Kauiulani again, the staff were very kind and friendly. I loved the hotel. Thank you so much! May 14, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Bad Hotel The customer service was bad. The line would be huge and if someone asked questions about the line they would be told to stay in line. It was not SPG quality. I will never stay at this hotel again. June 30, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Hotel staff The reason we keep coming back to this hotel is the friendly staff, from front desk check-in, pool staff, pool staff and cleaning . All are happy and have treated us with respect and friendliness. February 1, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Just okay Not what I expected from a Sheraton expecially for the price. Needs renovation. Bathroom very small and outdated. No valet parking and your lucky if you can find a place to park your rental car. September 1, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great customer service The front desk people were great VERY friendly along with one of the bell desk person he was great. Virginia who was the cleaning lady did an outstanding job in our rooms making them look good. March 17, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Was ok Very noisy room at back of hotel. So a disturbed sleep. Hotel in wing was very tired. Staff were very nice to deal with. Disappointed not what I expected. Pool only open for short hours as well April 3, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst hotel experience Room looks like 1970's Miami Beach decor, and its all original. Carpet was worn and had holes. The worst part was the service. The first two days of my stay the housekeepers came in my room despite the do not disturb sign on the door. The first day they just put the DND sign back behind the door. The second day they must have taken it because it was nowhere to be found. I was not in the room when they came in, but I did not put anything in the safe as i would have. There was money, laptop, ipad etc on the desk. When I called the housekeeping manager they acted like it was no big deal and they said they would take me off the cleaning list for the next day. Then they would not give me anything later than 2PM checkout on any of the three rooms I had booked and I have gold status. Then after I checked out I found out they offered 3PM to someone who was traveling with me who had no status. Just poor service at a below average hotel. Also Honolulu PD seems to allow "women of the night" to use the corner of the street so be advised they are there every night. Seems to be a shady part of the strip. April 27, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by location, location, location STAY AT THIS HOTEL IF YOUR GOAL IS TO BE NEAR THE BEACH AND DUTY FREE AND BOUTIQUE SHOPPING. CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THIS LOCATION IS POOR AND SUB-STANDARD BY SHERATON AND HAWAIIAN STANDARDS. September 9, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Misleading SPG Property In desperate need of renovations or perhaps SPG should sell and stick with SW, Surfrider and RH. I am a huge fan of SPG yet this was the worst property I have stayed in since 2011. December 3, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent Poolside Service Poolside cocktail service was provided by our server Angie. She was considerate, fast, and friendly. She was always trying to exceed our needs while we were spending the day at the pool. July 20, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Check in The check in experience couldn't have been worse. Was moved from room to occupied room. The experience should not have happened to anyone much less a repeat customer for over ten years October 2, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by The Hotel That Sheraton Forgot My expectatiions were high when I initially booked my room. This was based upon the fact that it was a Shearton hotel. These expectattions were dashed once I actually got to my room. The furniture was old and outdated, as was the carpenting in the rooms and the hallways. The wallpaper was starting to peel in certain spots and my wife wanted to try and find a room at a different hotel. We decided that it would be at a disadvantage because it was so late in the day. We turned on the TV which automatically went to the Sheraton channel. Every Sheraton location that it showed was the type of room that we were expexting from a Sheraton hotel, clean, bright with updated amenities. The Princess Kaiulani, although historic in its foundation needs serious work done immediately. From the balconies that had dirty walls and in some spots crumbling facades to the parking garage which seem to have converted the elevator to a barber shop, this hotel is an embraasment to the Sheraton name. We later took a walk alomg Waikiki and ended up at the Sheraton Waikiki and the difference was way beyond night and day. Never again. January 14, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Awesome ocean views Our room(s) were on the 10th floor - a nice upgrade for my dad's 70 Bday. The only drawback was the comedy club one floor above whcih we could clearly hear - it started at 9pm! September 25, 2012
