Rated 4 out of 5 by Cookie22 Great Location for Activities
Hotel is in a great location for visiting Epcot or Disney's Hollywood Studios. Also so convenient to get to the Boardwalk and Yacht Clubs. Restaurants weren't as great as we would have liked. Wish The Fountain would stay open later/24 hours for a good sit down meal.

No miad service for 3 days, no internet, no sign at the SPG gold check in so over 2 hours wait to check in - Definitiely not up to park stadards even though on park property, and not up to usual SPG standards either. Will probebly choose to stay elsewhere next visit

Rated 4 out of 5 by TennisKathy Great location, great restaurants, good value!
We were celebrating our anniversary. The front desk was kind to upgrade us to a nice king bed with resort view. They also recognized I had SPG. I loved the location of the hotel walking distance to Epcot and the Boardwalk. The on site Italian restaurant was superb and also Blue Zoo great. I loved the girl singers at Blue Zoo on Saturday night. It was nice to get SPG points for eating on property. I believe you get so much more value than a disney on site hotel. The Dolphin and Swan are just as nice if not nicer but they seem more affordable than Disney. If you join SPG and have AAA membership you can usually find a great special. The only drawback was the in room mini frig was not cold enough. So I had to keep my snacks and drinks cold in a cooler I brought. I also recommend that you enjoy the pools and partake of their fantastic drink special for $10. It was the best margarita I ever had! It was so good that we rushed home from Epcot by 5:00 - 7:00 pm just so we could relax and enjoy another drink special the next day!

Rated 5 out of 5 by SynergyRat Nice, but pricey
I always enjoy staying in the Dolphin for conferences and in general it is an excellent property with fantastic dining and amenities. The rooms are just average for hotels where I stay, not particularly roomy or well appointed, but certainly not bad, just average.

Rated 3 out of 5 by StarwoodKickOff Spacious rooms, friendly staff needed clean sheets
The room was very spacious and comfortable. However, I don’t believe that the sheets in my bed were changed at all. The last night I was there I moved the comforter on the other side of the bed to find a shoes print in black on the sheets along with yellow marks.

I have stayed at the WDW Dolphin for business. The resort and staff were so wonderful that I have booked many family vacations at the resort. Whether for business or pleasure, my expectations have always been surpassed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jake13 Perfect location, great hotel
I've stayed here several times and for a Disney hotel in this location, the price is very fair and the hotel is fantastic. Pool area is nice, several food options and whats better than walking into Hollywood Studios and Epcot. I would highly recommend this place

My family has been staying at the Dolphin for many years. This year there were a few surprises. In the past, the resort fee has always been waived. Also, some employees cared more about the needs of the guests at the convention than the regular guests.

The staff at this property is horrible. From the front desk, to maid service. Never cleaned our room. The front desk was rude because they did not have the type of room my family booked over 1 month prior to arrival. Never followed through with anything

Rated 5 out of 5 by Florida123 Great location and great accomodations
The Dolphin is the upscale hotel to stay in for any visit to Disney World. One high point is eating at the Blue Zoo. The décor is sexy and the seafood is great. The service is very professional and we have always enjoyed the experience. We highly recommend it!

The staff went beyond making our stay most pleasant. We had a room that had a toilet that ran all night, the next day they moved us to a room with two balconies and what Great fireworks. We would love to stay in this room again. Please send us specials.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Elsie12 This resort has great features but is overpriced
There is no need for a lunch to cost $15 per person, when individuals are traveling on business and our conference is taking place in your resort. To avail a reasonably priced meal, one has to take the shuttle bus and travel to downtown Disney, which is absurd!

Rated 2 out of 5 by traveler0401 Worn Out
It is a great location for conferences, but with all the conference traffic, has made it worn out. Needs several upgrades from the lobby to the rooms. Surely not worth the money. Would rather stay at a Disney property such as the Boardwalk, Yacht or Beach Club.

I was on the first floor, corner room and my room was not only damp, but smelled musty. When I got home and unpacked from my business trip, my family was alarmed at how my clothes smelled it was that bad. thankfully I was there for only 2 days for a convention.

Great place to stay while visiting the WDW Parks. We had two 4 year olds and everything was great. Kids got to visit with Disney characters at dinner in the Garden Grove. Pools were wonderful. Transportation to and from the parks was hassle free.

Our recent visit to the Walt Disneyworld Dolphin and Swan was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the hotel amenities, including the art shop in the lobby. The kids really liked the people at Camp Dolphin, and the pool was heavenly. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DG13 Very comfortable and close to Disney
The best thing this hotel has is that it's practically on the Boardwalk for 20% of the price that Disney's Boardwalk wants to charge. The Resort fee is a bit obnoxious and there's a parking fee but all in all, it's totally manageable for staying in that area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lilly Perks of staying at the Dolphin
We were very pleased with the Dolphin Resort! Rooms were very clean, good restaurants, no waiting on elevators, great access to the different Disney parks, and the pools were perfect for every age-from baby to elderly. Staff was always available and friendly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BTDestin Needs a fresh remodel
Rooms fine but public areas need a total makeover. Comes off as as very tired and out of date, even for Disney family property.
Had problems with housekeeping not being done well, but the staff were outstanding in responding immediately and getting it fixed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Wildwyogal Not what one would think being at "Disney"
I attended a conference June 28 th - July 3rd. #1 The room was dirty. Not just some fluff here and there. Floor in bathroom was very nasty. Countertops were not wiped down. I took a wash rag and went over the counter tops as soon as we got there and it was outrageous. #2 There were 2 fire alarms. BOTH TIMES there were NO employees in our area to direct us as to where to exit nor when to return. We received a letter under door explaining that employees were dispatched to guest areas and direct guests etc. No, that did not happen. The second fire drill we left the building and when the lights stopped flashing we returned to our room on our own NOT KNOWING what in the world was going on. #3 Picabu buffet/café has some chefs that need help with customer service. We asked simple questions that were not detailed on the their hard to follow chalk board menu. OUCH did we get some looks and tone. Food was actually pretty good. #4 We chose to go green. We understood that for however many days we refused housekeeping we would receive 500 points per day (or $5 voucher). It's not clear if those points ever made it to my account. I have had to contact SPG to see if they are on there and if they are correct. We only received bottle water 2 times the whole time we were there. (Hanging on the door was a nice touch)
I would not return to DSD. While the front staff was kind and helpful the hotel needs some serious help with housekeeping issues and food service.

I always stay here when I come because the hotel always gives me the rooms with the best views. Also, it has nice walking paths and acess to all the disney parks. The stay is always memorable. The only downside is that it does not have microwave in the room.

It was great not to need a car- very easy to get around to the parks. Overall, a great place to stay. Wonderful to have a fridge to use in the room and water each day! Would be nice to receive an electronic receipt upon departure for reimbursement purposes.

I have been to this hotel many times and it is consistently good. The maids you often meet in the hall are very friendly and happy to help you when lost. Check in was easy and even the valet parking guys were nice to deal with. Big rooms with lots of light.

Be sure to check what they consider a suite to be. Our room was 2 connecting rooms, main floor, no Balcony, one standard and one very strange room with a sofa and a fold up wall bed but space where bed was had no use........
otherwise resort itself was fine

The Dolphin is in need of some serious updating. As Starwood properties go, it was a disappointment. The staff was friendly and helpful but the rooms are really dated and I could barely turnaround in the lavatory...the tub was disgusting.
