Rated 5 out of 5 by Relaxing Stay My husband, my parents-in-law and I stayed at two bedroom villa for five nights mid May. I'm a SPG Gold member and as I read some negative comments by some SPG gold member, I told my family members not to expect too much. As soon as we arrived the two bed room villa, we got smile on our faces! We spent majority of time being in the villa instead of exploring Myrtle Beach attractions. We enjoyed eating breakfast at balcony by watching the pretty pond in front of it every morning and having relaxing time. We would like to stay at Sheraton Broadway Plantation Resort again. Rated 2 out of 5 by Request not to stay in buildings 1 thru 4. The "remodeled rooms" are not what one would expect as an owner. Buildings 1 thru 4 are remodeled, not at all like the new buildings. These old buildings should be given at a discount. Door was broken, rooms were old and not clean. May 31, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 Nice Property...could use a few things. The staff at the property was extremely helpful and friendly. The property was really clean and well kept. There were a few activities that were a nice addition like the kids pool, mini golf and volleyball. I was there without kids so I mainly used the pool. The food at the pool bar was not good at all..the server just dropped it to us and never came back. They could use a restaurant. The suite we stayed in was very roomy and had a great kitchen. If you want to go to the beach you need to rent a car. The gym also needed to be bigger. May 31, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Large Comfortable Villas Property is very well maintained. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. Everyone we passed on the property said hello and would ask if we needed anything. On my first morning I noticed our coffee pot was chipped. A new one was delived within 10 minutes. The housekeeper even opened the new open and set it up. I was in a deluxe one bedroom villa. Very large and nicely decorated. I only used the full kitchen for snacks and breakfast. However, you could prepare meals since it is fully equipped. The pool area is very nice! Mini golf is fun. Great kids pool if needed. Lots of complementary equipment to use. Only negative was their policy of one pool towel per quest and a mandatory 18% gratuity at the pool bar. Very close to Broadway on the Beach for fun activities and good restaurants, expecially Landry's for seafood. May 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful Property This property is nice. We stayed in a two bedroom villa and it was perfect. We were close to all the Myrtle Beach attraction but felt like we were secluded. We felt safe and it was very peaceful. We got to check in early and check out late. The pool area was relaxing, especially the lazy river, and jacuzzi. I liked the state of the art equipment in the health club and the arcade had my favorite - pac man. We will return. May 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing Weekend This is our 2nd stay at this resort and we didn't think our experience could top the first - but it did. The employees are beyond helpful, courteous, respectful, and just...happy! Our villa was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. I have never, EVER, stayed anywhere where there wasn't something that could have been improved on - except for here. Thank you so much for giving us a 3 day reprieve from our crazy world - it was refreshing and more than we could have hoped for. May 4, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Poor Grounds upkeep and poor management My wife stayed at this resort for a conference over the weekend. While parked in the main parking lot overnight, our car became infested with ants. When I spoke to the manager about this, his immediate response was that our car was full of food or something else that attracted the ants and that the resort shared no responsibility for it. I informed him our car is a brand new 2015 (less than a month old) and there was and never has been any food in it. I explained that a resort like this should have a grounds program that regularly treats the property for pests like this. He eventually gave a begrudging apology and threw some SPG points at us. A manager should not immediately blame the customer for an issue and should be much more proactive on trying to resolve a situation. I would not recommend this property until there is a change in leadership and an improvement in maintaining the grounds. I will also be speaking to the booking company that put us at this location to recommend that not send more people here. April 20, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by No late checkout The resort was very well kept. The condo was nice and clean with plenty of room. If you don't need a late check out then this is for you. We were in Myrtle Beach to run the Diva half marathon. I didn't think we would able to do the half marathon and get back to the condo in time to check out by 10:00 so I called a couple of days before to request a late checkout. I was told we had to be out by 11:00 or they would charge us a $25.00 fee. I said ok. The manager that I spoke with on Thursday said she would make note of it. Sunday after the race we got back to the condo a few minutes after 11:00 to find that our keys didn't work. We call the front desk and she sent security to open the door. By this time it was 11:20. We got in the room took showers and got ready to leave. While I was in the shower, housekeeping knocked on the two different times to see if we were ready to leave. When I got out of the shower and we was getting ready to walk out the door at 11:50 the phone rang. The front desk was telling us we had to be out of the room by 12:00 and that they were going to charge us an extra $25.00 for not leaving by 11:00. I told her I was well aware of that and that we were on our way out of the door when she called. I went to the desk and paid the $25.00 plus tax and left. My problem with this is that, we should have been told that the keys would not work after 11:00. If we had known this, we could have stopped by the front desk on the way in and have the opened instead of standing outside the door wet and cold from running waiting on security to open the door. Also, if we were going to have to pay the extra $25.00 I don't think house keeping or the front desk should have been knocking or calling until after 12:00. I found out later that some more of my running friends stay at this location and checked out last but was not charge the extra $25.00. April 14, 2015
