The hotel was amenable in terms of what it offered. The staff were very rude and off-putting when I asked questions (staff supervisor). In fact, they even gave us the wrong room card for another guests room with no apology. There were several other guests we met that echoed our concerns about the staff and hospitality.

First time in my life that I have stayed in a hotel that did not have A/C. I understand it is Colorado, but it was summer and 95 outside. They told me to open the windows and turn on the fan. Like I couldn't figure that out. I opened the window, which was right next to the highway so I could hear the trucks and motorcycles going down the road all night. You would think that with 160 nights last year with Starwood I would get a mountain view.

my wife and I always try to schedule at least I night at SMV anytime we are close. This time we were on our way back from visiting grandkids in Salt Lake. We arrived apx 3pm on a beautiful day. She went on a walk and I cooled my heels catching up on the Golf Channel. later that evening we went up to the village at Beaver Creek ( a fabulous world class resort) . We had a great burger at the Dusty Boot and then had coffee , seated by a fire next to the ice rink. After a good nights' sleep we walked a few hundred yards to Bob's, a local favorite, and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. By 11:00 we had to hit the road but had made some more memories at SMV. It was as clean and well maintained as the first time we visited back in '08. We enjoyed the overall experience so much that a few years later we became property owners and have not been disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by NextTrip No Air Conditioner with 82 degree outside temperature
I was surprised this Category 5 villa does not have air conditioning especially during August when the outside temperature was around 82 degree. For a Category 5 villa, it should have air conditioning in rooms or the hotel Category should be downgraded to a 2. The main hotel web site should have a large print letting propspective guests know that it does not have air conditioning in the rooms, only in the hall ways and public areas.

Johan (sp?) at the front desk is awesome! Met all of SPG standards and would have passed LRA check-in and check-out with flying colors. He is great!

My wife and I have never been so sleep deprived on a vacation. With no air conditioning, we are forced to sleep with the windows open. But it is SO noisy outside your facility, earplugs AND the pillow wrapped around my head did nothing to stem the on-going street noises. I am a Starwood Vacation owner, and I will never again stay at your facility. Just terrible.

Great property, nice rooms. This place is so focused on being a time share, they do so at the expense of their HOTEL guests.
Don't try to sell me something, and don't tell me that since you are a time share, I am 'not entitled' to my SPG benefits.
Hands down, my MOST disappointing SPG experience, of any in the Western Hemisphere.

Our only complaint about our stay was the check-in and check-out hours. They seemed unusually late (for check-in; 3:00 p.m.) and unusually early (for check-out; 10:00 a.m.). Made the stay very rushed!
