Rated 5 out of 5 by StarwoodDude Probably the best ski in/out Hotel Starwood has
There are 2 properties all connected - the regular Sheraton and the Resort Villas which are the huge 2-3 bedroom Condos. The Resort Villas have their own tower only accessible to those staying there. There are 3 rooms per floor (each 2 or 3 bedrooms) and 6 floors - very exclusive. Granite throughout the fully stocked kitchen, gas fire place, and incredible views of the mountains from balcony or inside. Roof top has 4 outdoor jacuzzi's just for those staying in the villas overlooking the slopes. Hotel has great Apres skiing in the main lobby bar which also overlooks the slopes. Heavy apps on the menu and great drinks with super comfy chairs, couches and fireplace.
The hotel offers a free local shuttle for dining within Steamboat (10 minute ride at most# as well as there being a free City Shuttle # 2 minute walk to shuttle from the hotel # which runs every 15-20 minutes. Either shuttle is great for shopping or dining. There are also several dining options which are walking distance from the hotel.
The Resort Villa’s are also sold as time share properties so availability can be limited based on prime skiing dates # Christmas / New Years / Spring Break #
We were here over New Years and they had fireworks and the Ski team coming down the mountain for an amazing display at dusk. Probably the best vacation we had for skiing mostly due to the hotel and location # yes the snow was amazing too). Using points for the villas has never shown to be available for the Villas but can be used for the regular hotel rooms – which are very nice too however naturally smaller in size.
What we like most is that almost everything is in walking distance for your entire vacation when staying here. Accommodations and hotel in general were top notch. We hope to come over and over again

We had a 3 bedroom and 2 bedroom for a six night stay during the beginning of the summer. The hotel is nice and has some nice appointments but it is not a category 7 hotel. I would rate this hotel either a category 5 or 6. The rooms need larger televisions and could use better appointments in order to rise to a level 7.
The hotel has a restaurant that serves a decent breakfast but there is no restaurant on the premises that you could call an upscale restaurant that is normally associated with a level 7 hotel.
Overall I would stay at this hotel/villa again but I was disappointed with the presentation of the hotel. Additionally, I expected a better villa and restaurants on the premises.

My husband and I just returned from a 3 night stay in the Villas at Steamboat with our two kids age 11 months and 2.5 years. We rented a 3 bedroom unit and it was beyond our expectations. The layout was perfect for having kids with us, the hotel provided a crib and bed rails for use and the room looked right out on to the mountain with the creek/beach to play at below. We loved it and recommend it to anyone traveling with small children.

We stayed here in August 2013 for 3 nights. We had a three room Villa for 3 nights. The Villa was comfortable, clean and roomy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Villas are just below the ski hill and within walking distance to restaurants. I would have given it 5 stars, but the beds were a bit hard and the blackout curtains didn't quite work at the top of the windows. There's also a great SPA on the top floor of the Villas.
