The staff at the Sand Key Sheraton are amazing. Everyone I encountered during my stay were very helpful and always had a smile for me. if you are looking for a relaxing place to bring the entire family, this is it. Very kid friendly with easy access to local nightlife. i suggest that you do not miss the prime rib in Rustys located inside the resort. Top notch food and service.

The professional atmosphere was highly noted among all the staff. The helpfulness and kindness exceeded most hotels. I plan on returning and will recommend this facility to others. The grill lunch experience was so wonderful, we made sure we had lunch before we left.

We have stayed at this hotel 16 times and it just gets better each time, our last stay 15 nights in September 2013 was perfect from check in until you leave have stayed in other hotels in the US on holiday not one could match the Sheraton Sand Key. Looking Forward to our next holiday at this wonderful hotel. A big thank you to all the staff for making it the perfect stay.

The location is fabulous but this hotel needs updating. The carpets are worn and dingy, the bathrooms are tiny, the paint is peeling in places. The gym is only open until 9pm on weekdays - this needs to be made a 24/7 facility. THe gym is excellent, but closed too much of the time. Pool is tiny. Location is great - long runs on the beach very excellent, beach not too crowded.

What a wonderful place to just sit and relax! The service was excellent; the grounds were beautifully landscaped and immaculate. The hustle and bustle of Tampa/St. Petersburg seems a million miles away while relaxing on this white sand and surprisingly uncrowded beach. The only reason I would hesitate to recommend this place is to try and keep it a secret! What a find!!!!!!

We had a great experience your property is to be commended on a job well done!!! However, my only concern being from a Resort Property as well, was that the waitstaff in the restaurant were having very open procedural conversations on the floor as well as, one of them was also eating on the floor. It didn't change my expierence, it was excellent, but was unprofessional! :)

My stay at this hotel was excellent. I can think of no changes that would have made my stay any better. I slept well, enjoying the great environment in the room. Linens were very comfortable. Cleaning crew did a great job. It seemed like there were always service staff in the hallways and elevators, just looking for ways to please. Staff was happy and always pleasant.

If you're looking for the perfect Clearwater location this is it. Unfortunately it's a very popular hotel and is typically very crowded. Also the management seems to have little interest in taking care of Gold/Platinum level guests. Club level and suite upgrades are extremely rare. Even when available I was told I would have to pay more which is rather disappointing.

right from the beginning, Steve took care of our luggage and car and was a gem. Roberta and Linda in Rusty's restaurant were a delight to talk to and be served by. The brightness and airiness of the restaurant - as compared to our stay 20 years ago - we feel helps morale. Management of course has a lot to do with this also. Hope to be able to return next year. hd/rd

There was not one department that did not exceed our expectations, from check in, room service, hotel bar, pool bar, store, pool help, maid service etc. I don't want to leave anyone out since every step we took they treated us outstanding. If they could do it they did. Thanks so much Sheraton! I usually don't do this, but I will go out to facebook and LIKE them!

I expected more from a sheraton. The food wasn't that good and over priced. The lunch spot looked like a cafeteria and wasnt very good. The restaurant was over priced and not the best. We paid for the club lounge, thinking we'd have snacks and drinks available all day, nope! It was 7-10 and 5-7--a waste of money! !!The staff was nice and the rooms were clean.

Staff makes it a priority to accommodate children. Long term employees a d general manager remember you each time you return. Feel is more like a family owned resort (think the resorts of the Adirondacks) circa the 1950s - but has all the modern amenities of today's business hotels. A very elusive combination - but for the most part, they've got it figured out.

I was thrilled with the customer service I received while at the hotel for conference last week. I eat a vegan diet and found the staff to be so accomodating. One server in particular, Anne, was phenomonal and became one of the most popular staff members among my co-workers. The hotel itself is wonderful but it was the customer service that really set it apart.

Arrived early but Jen (Chicago connection) was pleasant and professional about accommodating our early arrival. We received her call that our room was ready while walking down the great beach. Nate, one of the bartenders, remembered my drink and made earl grey tea to go for us nightly. The whole staff went above and beyond to make the vacation one to remember.

The rooms & facilities were very nice. The beach was gorgeous. The 3 meals we ate at the various hotel restaurants were not very good at all. Luckily there were other great places to eat all around the hotel. Our room wasn't cleaned until 3 pm each day, so it was a little disappointing to return to the room for a lunch break and have it not be cleaned already.

noisey, House keeping set alarm on clock 3 out of 7 days waking us at 6:00 am. On arrival room we expected was not availble. They found one but it was behind the elevators which were distracting. Ice machine noise was heard in the room. Doors thin. we have stayed here for thirty years this was a bad experiance. Offered us $15 to address above issues an insult.

Have been coming here every year for the last six years for a meeting. Always a delight! Easy to reach, out of the hectic Clearwater Beach town center, but very close. Rooms have beautiful views of the beach and Gulf and are very comfortable. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Facilities are great and food is terrific. Always look forward to my stays each year.

The bell service and the maid staff were great and always friendly and accommodating, it was the front desk, outside bar, and security that were not. When checked in I asked immediately for a late check out, but when the day came they had no record of it and would only give us a noon check out when our friends and family who were also staying there were allowed until 1. The outside bar staff was just not friendly and didn't say a word to us, would just take our order and give it to us. The security was a little ridiculous, my husband had the pleasure of meeting the GM and he comped our room for us; which we are extremely grateful. The security held that over our heads and told us were disrespecting the GM by apparently being too loud in our room. If there was an issue with the noise, that is fine, he could have been professional about it. The inconsistent nature of the staff is was deters us from wanting to stay there again.

The service at this hotel is amazing, you can tell that every one of the associates care from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. EVERYONE is focused on you the guest. It is a very refreshing change from most hotels that I stay in. I would say the only complaint I have is the size of the small bathrooms, but who cares when everyone is so friendly!

Perfect in every way. We have stayed at this hotel every October with the exception of a couple. It is our favorite place to vacation and the Sheraton Sandkey is the best place to stay. The staff treats us like family. They address us by name and every need we have is met immediately! Love the coffee bar in the room! Thanks for taking such good care of us!

I was ther for a conferance and had special room rates. The facility is quite upscale and the staff is friendly. The rooms are very nice, bathrooms a little small. Pool area is very nice and beach is clean. food in resturants is very good and prices are reasonable as hotels go. I really liked the prime rib. This was my second trip to the resort.

The front desk staff was excellent...they are caring individuals who do everything they can to make your stay comfortable. Room was clean and fully stocked with towels etc. We ate at both restaurants and they were both excellent...especially the buffet breakfast! Wake up calls were on time every time. We had a fun time and enjoyed our stay thoroughly!

Overall a nice hotel but I have a few suggestions:
-Each room really needs a fridge. This is essential especially if traveling with kids.
-The rooms are noisy. You can hear every door close in your hallway. I'm sure this could be fixed.
-Would recommend having more suites available. Rooms are a little small especially if stuck in there on a rainy day.

Great staff. Was able to checkin before checkin time. Excellent dining options. Overall facility clean. Conceirge helpful in making dinner reservation. The rooms are good sized. bathroom too small for this size hotel. Many of the bathroom supplies were not replenished so needed to request but then were sent promptly.

Everything was great except having no hot water on Saturday morning for a shower or to shave. Front desk was polite and gave a $25 acknowledgement without any prompting when they asked if there were any problems with my stay. I had not complained at time as figured that "if you are out of hot water you are just out of hot water" when it happened.

My wife and I stayed for a week just before Memorial day. This was the most relaxing enjoyable vacation I have had in many years.
The hotel grounds , pool, beach are outstanding. The staff is great. The restaurants provide great food for whichever dining experience you enjoy more formal or pub style.
Will definitely put on my list to come back.
