How can you learn of legitimate Starwood job opportunities?
It has come to our attention that individuals or companies have been contacting people with false offers of employment, claiming to act on behalf of Starwood, its individual hotels, or Starwood’s brands including Aloft®, Element®, Four Points®, Le Méridien®, Sheraton®, St. Regis®, W®, Westin®, or The Luxury Collection®. These offers are not legitimate.
Employment Fraud happens when individuals are sent false offers of employment with the sender’s goal of extorting money from the individual. Persons interested in working for Starwood branded hotels are offered employment contracts in exchange for the payment of money in the form of "processing fees" or "payments towards work permits" or the like. Please note that Starwood does not ask job applicants for money or payments in any form; protect yourself by never giving money to any person in connection with an application for a job with one of our hotels.
The following characteristics are typical of Employment Fraud:
Starwood is not associated with Employment Fraud, the individuals generating the fraud, or the websites used. Our brands and names are used without our permission. Starwood takes these matters seriously. We work with local authorities in an effort to stop this from happening. If you believe you have received a false offer of employment, please contact: employmentfraud@starwoodhotels.com.
If you believe you have received a false offer of employment, we recommend you do the following:
If you wish to learn of potential job opportunities at Starwood or its individual hotels, please go to www.starwoodhotels.jobs, and follow directions on how to apply. We can assure you that all jobs and information listed are legitimate. Please do not hesitate to pursue the opportunities you find on our sites.

Can I refer a friend for a position that matches their skills and interests?
Once you have found a position you are interested in, you can click the "Apply" button and begin the application process. In addition to providing some key information about yourself, you will be able to paste the text of your resume into the application form or attach a separate resume file.
You will also have the opportunity to complete a work history section, listing your past employment.
Click the "New Search" button to start fresh and then try selecting fewer criteria - specify only Job Type or only Geographic Location for example and then click the "Search" button. You can either browse the results that come back or, if there are too many, select additional criteria and click "Search" again to narrow it down.
Try selecting a different region on the far left-hand side of the page.
New jobs are posted all the time. You can check back here or, to receive automatic e-mail notification of jobs you might be interested in, fill out a JobAlert Profile.
Positions listed on our careers site are currently active and we are accepting applications. If a position is no longer posted, it has been filled.
If you have found a job that you think a friend would be interested in and a match for, simply click the "Refer a Friend" button at the bottom of the job description. You will be asked to provide contact information on your friend, including their e-mail address. Once complete, your friend will receive an e-mail notification from Starwood about this opportunity.

If you have a disability and require reasonable accommodation in order to apply for employment, you may call or visit the Human Resources Department at the Starwood location where you are interested in applying for a position. The Human Resources team would be happy to assist you in identifying a reasonable accommodation that would enable you to apply for employment.
It should take about fifteen minutes to apply online once you find a job you are interested in. (Please note, for jobs in North America you can apply by completing a full online application. For all jobs outside North America you can apply by simply submitting your resume.)
As part of the application process, you will be asked to register by specifying a username and password - you can use this anytime to retrieve your personal information and JobAlert Profile. This means you do not have to enter the same information again if you apply for multiple jobs.
For most positions we require that candidates submit a minimum of three personal references.
You will be asked to enter work experience information during the application process. In addition, you will have the option of pasting the text of your resume into the application form or attaching a separate resume file.
Because you are registered, we will remember all the personal information you have entered and will display it to you when you come back. However, please note that you will need to search again for the specific position you are applying to. Your application is not formally submitted until you have completed each step of the application process.
No, all of your personal information is saved - all you need to do is confirm it as you step through the application.
Once you have completed all of the application steps for a specific position, your application cannot be changed.
Because of the volume of applications received, please understand that we cannot respond to each applicant individually. You will be contacted by a human resources specialist if more information is required.

What is a JobAlert Profile?
-
Once I have completed my profile, when will I be notified of available opportunities?
-
How do I change my work interests?
A JobAlert Profile is a summary of your job interests—location, job function, etc.—that allows us to alert you via e-mail when jobs that match your interest are added to our jobs list. Even if you have already applied for one position, a JobAlert Profile helps to ensure that you are aware of other opportunities at Starwood as soon as they arise.
You will be notified, via e-mail, of any new opportunities posted on the career site that match the preferences you created in your profile.
You can log in to your profile and change your profile information anytime.

What should I do if Starwood will not be visiting my campus?
We actively recruit on campus for our externship, internship and management trainee programs. For information about programs for college students and graduates, please take a look at our College Recruiting section.
We hire from hospitality programs across the United States for three distinct programs:
At this time we recruit for management trainees, interns and externs only at specific U.S. colleges. Check out our Campus Schedule to see if and when we will be visiting your school and contact your career services office for instructions. If we are not scheduled to visit your school, you are welcome and encouraged to apply for other positions that interest you by using our Job Search to search and apply for specific positions.
Please speak to your career services representative and follow your school's instructions on how to submit your resume for consideration.
Please apply directly to the Human Resources department of the hotels where you would like to intern. Perform a hotel search from www.starwoodhotels.com to identify hotels in the cities where you are able to secure housing. Starwood hotels are not always able to provide housing to interns and seasonal associates.
