Q: When and how did you get into the hospitality business?
I joined the Sheraton Great Team right after graduating from tourism school
– Sheraton has been a wonderful place to grow. I started as an attendant
and have progressed to my current position through the encouragement of my
colleagues as well as Sheraton’s culture of opportunity.
Q: What is your favorite thing about working for Sheraton?
Sheraton has a warm, family feeling. I look forward to working with my
colleagues, and that makes a difference, because I get to spend a day with
people I enjoy.
Q: What is the most satisfying part of your job?
I have the opportunity to meet people from different countries and
cultures; it’s a unique experience since I not only learn about cultures
from my interactions with guests, but I also get to see them experience
mine.
Q: How has working here changed your understanding of the service
culture?
Although Starwood has many hotel brands, the one constant is the service –
it always meets the highest standard, and I think that is unique.
Q: Describe your workday.
Very busy, but very happy.
Q: What is your favorite thing about your job?
The challenge. My job gives me an indescribable passion.
