For the prices of their dishes, one might think Jalisco Café is a competitor in San Diego's unofficial food war, "Battle of the Bertos," but their quaint dining room, encased within a room of mirrors, will ensure guests that they will get much more for their money than what Albertos, Jilbertos, Robertos, or any other Bertos offers. The menu at Jalisco Café consists of many Mexican favorites, along with Jamon Con Jeuvos (charbroiled ham and three eggs, served with beans and tortillas), Machaca burrito, jack cheese/green chille enchiladas, and many other great dishes. Also offered is a children's and a senior's menu, as well as free birthday dinners for those who bring their I.D. and three guests. - Erick Pettersen
