Located right by Centennial Park and the Ferry Landing, this upscale Italian bistro with a view of San Diego Bay offers an array of handmade pastas and other dishes. It offers an extensive wine list dominated by Italian imports which go well beyond the typical "reds." The menu changes every day on the (usually) wise whims of the chef, which provides a bit of unpredictability, but you can count on several pasta dishes, plus fish and steak. Grab the sea bass selection if it is available on the night of your visit. They also offer a changing selection of desserts which go well beyond tiramisu. -deTraci Regula
