Before visitors enter Lux Art Institute, they will see an apple orchard in a triangular pattern called “Garden of Apple Delights,” and other forms of art outside of the gallery. Inside, visitors can view great art and watch resident artists working in studio environments. Lux Art Institute hosts various events, such as Lux@Night, which is a free night of wine and art to promote resident artists, and “Studio Series,” an evening of conversation with the gallery’s curator and other professionals and scholars. Lux Art Institute also created The Valise Project, which educates students about art by bring portable pieces of art into the classroom, and other educational programs. - Erick Pettersen
