San Diego . . . filled with the charm of its Spanish settlers, is a vacationer's paradise. Sun, sand, beaches, mountains, and lakes are all at your fingertips. Known as a world-class destination, it's no wonder they call it "America's Finest City."

The "Beach" is upstairs and on the roof. This outdoor mingling place provides customers with a detailed pseudo-beach environment, right down to fire pits and a heated floor covered with sand. For a more East-coast feel, there are rentable cabanas which offer a modicum of privacy. Individual drinks including passion fruit margaritas, cantaloupe martinis and other summery concoctions are available, but groups usually opt for buy-the-bottle service at the tables. Since the main idea here is to see and be seen, the cabanas, which should be reserved in advance, may be a bit counter-productive for most. - deTraci Regula
