Dammam is the capital of the Eastern Province in Saudi Arabia and also its largest city. Dammam Port is one of the largest on the Arabian Gulf.
Stretching from Aziziah Beach to Tarot Island, Dammam Corniche is a popular gathering place for friends and family. Open-air artwork is scattered along the Corniche road as well.
The King Fahd Park is located on the Dhahran-Dammam Expressway between Dammam and Al-Khobar. It is a modern park with cafeterias, pools, lagoons, fountains, and an amusement center for children.
Another place of interest is the Dammam National Museum, located near the sports stadium. Situated on the 4th floor of the public library, it contains exhibits detailing the culture of the area.
Half-Moon Beach (named for its semi-circular shape) is the premier beach in the eastern region and has two amusement parks nearby.
