River Main in the Morning

Apfelwein. Sushi. Skyscrapers. Half-timbered houses. Frankfurt is a city full of contrasts, with a fascinating blend of the modern and the traditional. More than 80 high-rise buildings that tower into the sky are visible from quite a distance away—a symbol of the city’s dynamism.

Frankfurt’s most famous sights are all near the Sheraton Frankfurt Congress Hotel—including the Museumsufer, a stretch of the southern bank of the River Main that is home to more than 13 museums; the Palmenhaus, a traditional building in the Botanical Gardens; and the city center churches. Other cultural highlights within easy reach on public transport include the Goethehaus, the cathedral (the Frankfurter Dom), the Römer, which was once Frankfurt’s town hall, the opera building, and the Paulskirche (St Paul’s Church).

The Sheraton Frankfurt Congress Hotel is located right next to Frankfurt’s largest recreational area, Stadtwald Park. This urban wooded area is an ideal place to go for a walk or a jog. Within a radius of 1,000 meters, you will also find a tennis court and three golf courses.
