Home to over 1,400 of Australia’s native animals and birds, the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary allows a rare opportunity for one-on-one interaction with our amazing native wildlife. Originally known as Currumbin Bird Sanctuary, the name was changed to better reflect its diverse range of animals. The sanctuary also offers fascinating displays, shows, and nightly wildlife adventure tours. This 60-acre beautifully landscaped parkland and natural rainforest is just 35 minutes away.
The Gold Coast Hinterland is made up of the spectacular McPherson Range. There are various National Parks within the range, each with their own walking trails and a variety of activities. Also hidden in the mountains are some of the region’s best kept secrets, including boutique wineries offering delicious wines and exquisite food, local arts and crafts, country cafés, and of course the spectacular panoramic views of the Gold Coast.
