Chang An (Xian’s ancient name) was once the capital city of China and is where the famous Silk Road finds its origin. Historical sites are abundant in Xian, ranging from the tombs of various dynasty of Chinese Emperors, to the Famen Temple that preserved the crystallized finger bones of Sakyamuni, a founder of Buddhism.
