Hotel History

Originally completed in 1985, Sheraton Premiere at Tysons Corner was recently reconstructed with a few key building upgrades: our ballroom and lobby area were fully renovated in 2012, while our guest rooms and corridors were updated to include new carpeting, brand new wallpaper, stylish new furnishings, and a fresh color palette.

Because of our prime location just 20 minutes from the nation's capital, we've hosted more than one historical figure who has even spent a night or two. President Barack Obama paid a visit to the hotel during the 2008 Democratic Convention. In addition, Dick Cheney, Al Gore, New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson—not to mention our 42nd and 43rd presidents, Bill Clinton and George Bush, Sr.—have all rested their heads at Sheraton Premiere at Tysons Corner.
