An evening at the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa begins at the hotel's Lagoon Bar, where Hawaiian melodies entertain you throughout the evening. As the sun sets, torches are lit to signal the nightly ritual of lele kawa, cliff diving. A young cliff diver retraces the steps of his ancestors, crossing the sands of Ka`anapali Beach to Pu`u Keka`a, and plunging into the surf below. The nightly Cliff Dive ceremony is a Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa tradition that originated when the hotel opened in 1963.
