For non-US hotels, rates confirmed in USD may be converted to local currency by the hotel at your time of stay, based on the exchange rate used by the hotel and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Restrictions on the Acceptance of US Currency
Due to recent local regulations, the acceptance of US Dollars in cash is now restricted across Mexico. Payments with credit/debit cards remain unaffected. Please provide arrangements to settle your accounts and other expenses with a credit card or in Mexican Pesos. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause our guests.
Resort Closed Until Further Notice
Due to Hurricane Odile, which came ashore at Los Cabos in Baja California on Sunday and Monday, September 14 – 15, 2014, The Westin Los Cabos Resort & Spa, and the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Golf Resort & Spa have sustained damage, and are unable to accept any new guests at this time. It is too soon to determine when the hotels will be fully operational; however, it is not expected until at least October 31.
Although the hotels are unable to welcome you during your planned stay, please know our team would be more than happy to help you make alternate arrangements at one of our other Mexico resorts that were not impacted by the storm.
Starwood has resorts in Puerto Vallarta (Westin and Sheraton), Punta Mita (St. Regis) and Cancun (Westin) and we would gladly assist you in changing your reservation from Los Cabos to any of these three resort destinations.
Starwood will also support any guests that would like to cancel their existing reservations by waiving all change or cancellation penalties for arrivals in the months of September and October.
In order to receive a full refund or change your dates of stay, please email your confirmation number to firstname.lastname@example.org (please include Hurricane Odile in the subject line) or call 1-800-328-6242 if you are calling from the U.S. or Canada. You can expect a refund to be processed within 7-10 days of the receipt of your cancellation email. We hope you understand the circumstances and will consider staying at our hotels in the future. If you are holding a reservation for arrival after October, and would like to keep your reservation, then no action is necessary at this time, although it is too soon to be certain when the hotels will reopen. We will communicate the reopening date as soon as the information is available.

Disability Accessible Policy
The resort is disability accessible. Three Disability Accessible Rooms are available.
Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 18 years or older (with valid photo identification).
Age Requirement Policy
Guests must be 18 years or older with valid photo identification to check-in.
Babysitting/Child Care Policy
We are happy to arrange babysitting services upon request. We ask that families fill out a request form and waiver in advance. Please contact the Concierge for more information.
Check Cashing Policy
The resort does not offer check cashing services.
Connecting Room Policy
Connecting rooms are available upon request and subject to availability. Unfortunately we are unable to confirm connecting rooms in advance.
Early Departure Policy
Departure dates are confirmed upon check-in. Guests departing prior to their scheduled departure date will incur a charge of 50 USD. Unfortunately, if the stay is pre-paid we cannot issue a refund.
Early Arrival Policy
We offer early check-in, upon request and subject to availability. The resort charges 50% of the room rate for early arrivals before 8am.
Extra Bedding Policy
Rollaway beds and cribs can be requested in advance, and are subject to availability at check-in.
Family Plan Policy
Children who are 17 or younger sleep for free in the existing bedding of a room shared with a paying adult.
Late Checkout Policy
Late checkout is subject to availability. For late checkout after 1pm there is a charge of 20 USD per hour until 4pm. Late checkout between 4pm and 6pm will incur a fee of 50% of the room rate; after 6pm the full room rate applies.
A maximum of two children is allowed with two adults or three children allowed with one adult per room.
Pets are not allowed.
Resort Charge Policy
There is a mandatory daily service charge of 4% per room per night. The service charge includes two complimentary bottles of water, maid gratuity, one in-room bag of regular and decaf coffee, and complimentary access to the gym each day. This charge also applies to free nights unless otherwise specified.
All guest rooms and public spaces are 100% non-smoking. A 100 USD cleaning fee will be charged to any guest who violates the smoking policy. A designated smoking area is provided for guests outside on their balconies and on designated areas.
