This hotel is convenient to the airport, as well as being within easy driving distance of the subway or downtown. The room was spacious and very comfortable (except for the heating controls, as mentioned by another guest). The Club Lounge breakfast was adequate, not extravagant. Staff were efficient.

The service at this hotel is superior, all staff have to be complimented.
The only problem is with noise depending what lineway is being used at the airport.

Beautiful hotel, very comfortable king size bed. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Negatives: there was no hot water one morning of our 4 day stay, you must pay for parking every day, free wi-fi in lobby but not in room.

The staff were great. The guys from the gift shop were amazingly nice & talkative. Front desk was ok, the guy who checked me in was awesome. So friendly. My room was ok, they upgraded me to a king when my friend backed out. It was clean & I loved the chairs instead of the usual uncomfortable ones you get.

At check in I noticed a slight smell of old cigarette smoke in the room. On geting up the next day It was quite obvious that the room had been smoked in by a prior guest.
I recommend that you report any of this type of issue immediately on checking in.

Most definately the best part about the room was the amazingly comfortable beds. Though, they are a little softer than the usual hotel bed, the rest of the room was nothing too spectacular but was modern.
The bathroom was a little tight, with a shallow tub, but overall fairly decent with some nice toiletry items.
I didn't really like the charge for the wifi in the guest room and also the parking fee ($15) for an unsecured parking lot but they provided the wifi in lobby, lounge and business center area.
Overall this was a pretty nice hotel but you will need to factor in the extra charges and decide if it is worth it to you to stay here over other hotels.
we'd probably stay here again if after considering the wireless fees and parking fees, the rates were comparable to other similar properties.

After a long flight my bag went missing. Hotel staff did everything possible to help. Very friendly staff at the reception and via hospitality services. Breakfast staff was very friendly and the food was good, especially the omelet. Hotel is located 1hr 45min from blue mountain, a great place for some mountain biking if you have some spare time.

Reception staff are so friendly and polite. Great recognition for platinum. Lounge breakfast fresh berries and fruit. I have a food allergy and the gentleman in the lounge at breakfast was very helpful checking for cross contamination for me. Good place to stay before or after a flight.

I have stayed at this hotel for the past two months and it is the staff that makes all the difference. The hospitality I receive us second to none. I am greeted by name and made to feel like a valued customer each and every time.

Have stayed here several times before. Very friendly staff. Was impressed by the courtesy and welcome of hosts in the club lounge. Hotel was full yet room was very quiet (except for the planes which is to be expected and it's a fun distraction). Because hotel was full all accessible parking spots were taken. Perhaps hotel can offer complimentary valet in cases like that....had to use cane to walk a somewhat long distnce from car to hotel.

The accomadation was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and appeared to have been updated recently.
Shuttle Service to the Airport was prompt and efficient.
Hotel resturant was a little over-priced for menu items but staff / service was more than acceptable

Very short stop over between destinations and the hotel and staff were very efficient. We were upgraded due to our Platinum status to club level without asking.
We always enjoy this hotel and it's proximity to local restaurants.

compared to other Sheratons this hotel has the poorest Gold lounge I have used. Poor selection is an understatement. The rooms are also very warm, even turning off the heating system does not work. opening the window vent is the only option and then you have the noise from the air traffic . The gym area is very small and cramped with small selction of equipment, no height for even a chin up bar,

The hotel is conveniently placed for the airport but the property feels old and the facilities need some renewal, feels like the hotel was better a couple of decades ago.
The staff is wonderful and very helpful.

I couldn't go higher than Average due to the cleanliness of the room. There was gum stuck alongside the headboard, and a few coins under the bed, but visible so as if to indicate that a vacuum hadn't been used around the bed in some time. The tray and toiletries in the bathroom were dusty and the drain didn't actually drain, despite being left open, in the tub. Plus, I was charged for the fax/copy center when I never entered it during my stay.

Generally it was OK; however, at night, the AC either left me freezing or sweltering(with an unpleasant smell coming from the vent) During the day, it was great but at night, I barely slept due to the air condition and quality.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nicolle Beautiful Hotel. Had a few issues.
I was unable to book my room on the website using my mobile phone because the drop down box for the credit card would not work. I called the 416 number on the same website page and it directed me to the Hotel on Dixon Road but then I was redirected to a reservation centre. They were unable to answer my questions about the Lounge Room so I had to make a call to the 416 number back. The reservation centre quoted me a price for the room that was $20 more than what I was looking at on the website. I questioned it and was told that more rooms had been booked since I logged onto the site so this was the price now. I logged back into the website and it was still the original price that I wanted. I felt lied to. I ended my call and booked the room through my laptop. The drop down box for the credit card worked when I was on my laptop.
I requested an early check-in online and the manager said that he would contact us when a room was available. That did not happen but I was able to get into a room early because I went to the desk again and asked. We were very grateful.
The key to the Lounge Room did not work so I went down and had the card fixed. I went up and down three times and was still unable to get the card to work. I finally called down and had a staff member bring a card to me. He said that the issues were my fault because I must have put the room card beside my credit cards or cell phone. This was not the case.
We entered the lovely room but were disappointed when there were no snacks available that were mentioned on the website and that the front desk clerk assured us would be available. I had to ask a staff member about the snacks. After waiting a half an hour, someone arrived and brought out a handful of granola bars. My husband and children said that the hot appetizers were fantastic but the Lounge closed before 9:30pm as it stated on the sign. I was disappointed to miss out on the appetizers myself.
I was thrilled that the pool was open late so that I could have a nice relaxing swim after my full-day conference.
Breakfast in the Lounge was nice and we enjoyed it thoroughly. It was nice to have an early morning swim too.
At the conclusion of our stay, I went to check-out and the staff member did not ask how my stay was. He asked if the remainder of the charges (room service) should be charged to the credit card on file. He handed me a receipt that was folded up and did not go over the charges with me. The receipt was confusing. I was charged for parking that should have been included in the room rate and the conference also included parking for free. Again, I felt taken advantage of. I had the staff member reverse the charge, but he was not happy about it.
We had several issues during our stay and I was not impressed. I would like to be contacted by the General Manager.

The shuttle service to and from the airport is not frequent enough especially during cold weather; waited at airport 45 minutes before bus came, which in turn made us late for food services in the hotel that had all closed at 11 pm.

We arrived bone tired from a trip, and took the first shuttle going to a sheraton because we had an expectation of the facilities and service that we would get there. We had also researched the prices online and thought that we would be getting great value. On arrival, the desk staff looked at our dishevelled appearance, and when I quoted the online price that I had, he did not seem impressed at all to serve us. He informed us that there were no rooms at this hotel for that price. I told him that I had found it online, and then he said he would wait while I produced it for him. I attempted to do this in the lobby, and was having computer difficulties, so gave up and because we were tired and just wanted to get something to eat and get some sleep. We were only laying over for a few hours. We had arrived there late and were leaving on an early flight the next morning. As we stated that we were SPG preferred guests and he could not find us, he put the points credit onto someone's elses account, and charged us what seemed to be alot for a quick overnight stay. When we arrived in our room, I attempted to get some emails, and send some to let our families know that we had arrived safely, only to find that we had to pay extra for the wi-fi. I have never been charged extra for this service at any other hotel I have stayed at. I was really disappointed all around at our very short stay, and will probably not choose a Sheraton the next time.

I stayed at the Toronto Shearaton 801 Dixon on Dec 21 & on Dec 27th. I ate in the restaurant both times, ordering the same food. My first visit the seafood chowder was very good and I was happy with my 6oz filet of beef. On this visit the soup was served in an eight inch wide bowl. On my second visit, 6 days later the soup was very poor zerved in a 3 inch wide bowl, The mash potatoes and vegtables were cold.
My wife had the same soup because of my earlier experience and the same meal - she did not like the soup and hers was also cold. This is a serious problem if you want repeat customers.
PS I have reservations for two rooms Jan 27th 2013, at this same location.

I was unable to adjust the the tempurature in my room (415) when I called for assistance I was told to "shut it off completly - that may help. It did not, The drain in the tub did not work so I stood in 6 inches of water while in the shower. My server at Olio's on the night of 9/20 seemed to disappear. I only saw him as he lavished a table of five with attention. I was a table of one.

Even thoug the facilities are a bit dated, the bed was not the most comfortable, meaning that itneeds a refresh on the mattress, the hotel is ok for a couple of nights and based on the need due to the film festival was a good option for an early departure. The staff are great, all of them are very nice, polite and helpful.

We stayed at the airport hotel and congress centre last month. SPG recognition was excellent - we received the room type we requested, and were upgraded. The property (formerly a Renaissance) is a bit dated but has a fantastic deep water pool and an ok exercise area. Parking is not free. A highlight of our stay was meeting Orlando, a host in the 7th floor SPG lounge! A real gentleman, and very helpful!

The rooms was quiet, though not everyone will be used to the sound of planes so close. (It IS an airport hotel, so should be expected!) It's a standard hotel, nothing great to differentiate it from other hotels. No one really goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. It's got the, "we're a hotel, what do you expect?" kind of feel to it.
