The hotel is modern, staff are courteous and efficient, rooms are clean and great. The Canal St area may not be the ideal place to be with children, but for business travellers or adults is an excellent option. Its location is very good, close to the Soho and to the subway, although do not expect fancy shops or services in Canal St. I would highly recommend the hotel for everyone.

Great property, diligent staff, wonderful location, terrific views on upper floors both North & East. Would be better if cards to rooms did not deactivate or demagnetize each day; also the guest lounge needs more tables.

Rooms where neat and clean - however they were small. Our biggest issue for all three of our rooms were the entry cards to the rooms which stop working at one time or another for each of one us. It happen more than once and especially annoying when you have to keep going back down to the front desk because we couldn't get in our rooms. It was also happening to other guests as we overheard other guests while one line to get our keys reissued complaining of the same problem.

If you are looking for a great location in NYC and are willing to sacrifice space (rooms are small), this hotel is a great option.

If you want to stay in Soho, stay in Sheraton Tribeca: excellent location for shopping and dining in Soho. Great public transport connection to Uptown and airports by metro and taxi. After shopping, the lounge is a nice place to relax.

Convenient to subway and to Tribeca/SoHo area. Very clean room and super comfortable bed. Staff was helpful with everything from finding me a quiet room to helping me navigate the subway system.

This is a nice, clean hotel with good service. Although breakfast is not the best and not be made available free of charge wireless internet, it is very well located for those who want to go shopping, going out and enjoying life of Manhattan.

We dropped our bag off at 9:30 am and asked for early check-in. Was told to call later in the day. (was not asked about SPG membership at any of the 5 to 6 contacts with the front desk). we finally got into our room at 3:30 pm, The one bright spot was David who checked our bag in the a.m. and was polite, engaging, great attitude and treated us very well. Room was very clean and the location is a little crazy on Canal St. I understand it was a full night before we got there, but i just expect a little more from Sheratons as an SPG member- that is why you get the business. I feel that the front desk should have been a little more caring about repeat customers.

The front desk and doorman were exceedingly helpful and friendly, meeting our needs with service and suggestions. We were disappointed that the restaurant was not open in the evening.

I wrote about 6 months ago that i like the hotel, but there are hardly any free weights in the gym. I assume that they get stolen, but the hotel should buy new.
I visit New York 2-3 times a year and usually stay here.
Well 6 months later nothing has happened except that there are even fewer weights than during my last stay. This is really a big deal for me and I will have to stay somewhere else next time as the management have not taken any action on this problem.

If you are looking for a trendy "cool" hotel, this isn't it. If you are looking for a nice, clean, efficient hotel that isn't very big (i.e.: crowded with long lines) that is located in the perfect spot, then this is your place.
On edge of Tribeca and Soho, with subway lines very close that can take you to the east side or west side. This place is truly situated in the perfect spot for getting around.

Upon arrival to the hotel there was a line of five couples checking in. All of them on the SPG line. I overheard the desk person asking if the person checking in was a SPG and they said no. This was true with them all! Why was I waiting when no one was a member except me? Please separate the lines and let us get treated well for our loyalty.

Eddie made it feel like home. He was awesome.
Rooms need some place to put your clothes. No drawer space is very challenging.
Bathroom was dark and we needed a bulb changed.

I stayed at the Sheraton Tribeca using my Starwood Preferred Member points for one night to celebrate a friend's bday. I found the service to be okay (nothing great) and the rooms were small and non-descript but clean. However, I was blown away by our experience with one particular staff member who made our lives easier and our trip more enjoyable the entire trip. The doorman, Eddie, was friendly and helpful and went out of his way to make my friends and I feel like we were on vacation. Thanks Eddie!!! We would come back just to see you!

Hotel is in great shape and great spot if you need to be at this end of Manhattan. Staff was great - friendly and most accommodating. Club floor and lounge are wonderful. Terrace with views back to the north towards mid-town might be one of the best views in NYC.

My husband and I were referred to this Sheraton for a wedding stay. The staff, to a person, were fabulous, guiding us and advising us. Everyone was sweet and kind. The bathroom needed some touching up, but the room itself was sparkling clean. We were quite pleased by the location, the quality of the staff and the value we received for our money.

After a work event, the customer service team had a fruit plate waiting for me in my room. It was over and above any expectation I had and was appreciated. The rooms were comfortable, but there was some street noise. Valet was great to work with. Overall I would recommend.

When I checked in, I had submitted a tax exempt form. Yet when I got the bill it still had taxes on it. I am running around trying to get this fixed, but there is no e-mail on the bill I can correspond with and the phone number just gets me to some answering machine

Location and views from the excellent club lounge are unbeatable. The roof top club lounge is amazing. The hotel is well managed and staff is friendly and competent. Great breakfast in club lounge, too. The room was small and the storage space for clothes was ridiculous...welcome to Manhattan!

I usually stay here when I visit New York because it is near my office and the rooms are surprisingly quiet considering the location. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the hotel has a decent gym.
The last time I visited, there were not enough dumbbells in the gym. I guess people have been stealing them, but I would expect the gym to replace them anyway.

The breakfast was excellent. In my room (510) I smelt smoke from somebody else. There is no big Sheraton sign on the top of the building. So it was not so easy to find back the way to the hotel.

Staffs are warm and welcoming, rooms are clean and it earns its 4 star title. There's a couple of issues that I've encountered, however, makes me a bit frustrated during my stay. I was told by one technical support through a phone call that I need to pay 10 dollars for every single device I connected to the Internet. I was like, you have to be kidding me, it's a 4 star hotel, and I pay 200 per night, I've never had such experience in any hotel that Internet fee is charged based on the number of devices. Anyway, at check out, the lady at the front desk told me that I only need to pay 10 per room for 24 hours of Internet usage. So, again, back to the point that it's all about different individuals, and I still have no clue why the heck the technical guy tried to rip me off. In addition, they didn't recognize me as an SPG gold member, which is a bit weird too, cuz apparently I am.
