Rated 3 out of 5 by a few improvements required Great location and hotel but no information on resort facilities in the room. Couldn't get the heater to work, beach was closed because it was too dangerous to swim and had to ask to get the room cleaned. But geat facilities, best breakfast on the coast and beautiful rooms. Pool a highlight. July 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by A lovely stay as usual As a platinum member it is wonderful to get a nice upgrade. The staff are always very helpful and the seafood buffet is always good. we also had a lovely lunch and dinner in the oyster bar (although I do miss Patrick). Will be back in november and looking forward to another great stay. September 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love The Sheraton!! Stayed here in a Mirage room on the 3rd floor. Bed and pillows were like sleeping on a cloud. The whole ambiance of the resort was so relaxing and even one night get away felt totally worthwhile. I live on the GC and will definitely be going back. Breakfast was devine October 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT HOTEL THE HOTEL IS PERFECTLY SITUATED RIGHT ON BEACH AND HAS AN AMAZING POOL AREA FOR RELAXING AND FUN. ROOMS ARE WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT AT A5 STAR HOTEL. WE ALWAY MAKE SURE WE USE THE RESTAURANT EVERY TIME WE GO THERE AS THE FOOD IS GREAT. DEFINATELY WILL STAY THERE AGAIN. October 30, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Get the ground floor room If you want to step right on the grass from your room, get the ground floor (on the out/parkside). It is like having your own large yard to step onto. The only thing that left me wondering was almost complete absense of trash cans in the corridors, tried to search a couple of times. January 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by It's like going overseas but not leaving the country My partner and I had a wonderful time, the resort is excellent value and beautifully maintained. The staff were welcoming and our accommodation was outstanding. I will definitely return. The Sheraton Mirage is as beautiful as the online pictures describe. Thanks for a great stay! August 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great hotel- beautiful location. Very spacious rooms. Our whole family enjoyed a few nights recently. The hotel also caters well to children our children enjoyed the attentive service by the pool as much as my husband & I!! Shops across the road we didn't need to use our car for days! Rated 4 out of 5 by A lovely location but its the small things that failed We decided to take a two bedroom Villa with study as we have teenage children - while overall the gardens and rooms presented well and our stay was comfortable we encountered numerous little issues - rubbish had been hidden in the bottom of the fruit bowl, the equipment was old, the TV required a technician to come to our room to get it to work, the spare bed was not comfortable and we were put in the Villa that was beside the highway making the verandah useless. The worst experience was as we left, one of my daughters left a ring in the room - we had checked out and as she is old enough, she approached reception herself, she was told to wait while the lady at reception found someone to let her back into the room - ultimately 30 minutes later I went to the room looking for her - I was let into the wing by a friendly guest and then found a very friendly cleaning lady who let me in to the room - while she waited I found the ring and went in search of my daughter who was still waiting at reception 45 minutes later. It is our favourite hotel in the world and never disappoints- beautiful foyer/view; superb rooms; staff are attentive with excekkebt customer service. Well done and thank you! February 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has an excellent location This is our second stay at the Sheraton Mirage, and we enjoyed it even more than the first. Its ocean front location provides both an excellent beach and a great pool. The staff is definitely customer service oriented and all very good. We will go back soon!! October 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Beach! The Gold Coast is rather crowded with high rises and in summer full of partying students. The Sheraton is on the other end of the beach, very low key with a gorgeous stretch of beach that you have virtually to yourself. Perfect if you love quiet, beautiful beach experience. Rated 5 out of 5 by Staff very helpful We found the staff helpful and friendly, the room was very clean and when our spa didn't work they sent maintenance promptly to fix it. The rate was good and breakfast was very enjoyable. We would stay again as we are locals and can take advantage of any specials available. August 6, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by reular stay The renovation of the hotel was successful and the rooms are modern, pleasant and comfortable. Bathrooms lack certain sophistication. especially with the unwanted and unpractical Jacuzzi.. This time I got a suite which was perfect but not much helpful because I was on my own. The door-concierge on arrival desk give an amazing service, very professional. thoughtful and efficient. The reception service however is very slow (I had the same experience at every stay at this hotel). The Restaurant service is also very mediocre, the service staff does not pay enough attention to immediate service and I have each time difficulty to attract their attention. In the morning I called the concierge for an extended time to bring my car out but there was no one who answered. I then called the Guest Service number and had to wait over one minutes until I someone finally took my callo. The hotel has a great location, is nicely renovated but it just needs the improvement for efficient service. Maybe is not catering for business travellers? October 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has a fantastic position Upon arrival we were upgraded to a superior spa room which overlooked both the pool (which was fabulous) and the ocean. Service was excellent and so much so we didn't want to leave the hotel to have dinner. Our stay was too short and we are looking forward to coming back. October 4, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Subtley superb The resort was awe-inspiring upon first walking, the views of the beach and pool from the main foyer were fantastic. The room itself was clean, spacious and very accommodating. Food at the breakfast smorgasboard was fresh and tasted wonderful. Definitely stay here again! April 1, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by Eco friendly not guest friendly On opening the door to our room the temp was 27 degrees and the room felt very very stuffy. We opened the window but this shut the air conditioner off. We closed the window and one hour later the room had reached a reasonable temp. We left to go to the pool and on returning the room was back to 27 degrees with another one hour wait until it cooled down. Every time we left the room...........same story. Feeling thirsty I went to grab a bottle of water and nearly died of shock. At $9.50, I could have bought a bottle of wine for that. Went to get some ice and you guessed it the ice machine was out of action. Checked the floor above and the floor below..........same story. I guess the ice machines are not eco friendly. I ordered some ice from room service which arrived one hour later. By this time I vowed never to return. Not good enough Starwood !!! Suggestion: Install a guest override on the room air conditioner, fix your ice machines and offer your bottled water and Internet for free, your room rates more than cover those costs. Rated 4 out of 5 by What happened to be piano bar? This hotel used to be my favourite hotel, fantastic staff, great atmosphere and that included the piano bar, where I would sit and relax. But now the piano has gone. Yes, the staff are still great, the views are fantastic but without the piano bar I may have to defect. June 24, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very Nice Indeed A lovely hotel, the room was also nice. Breakfast buffet couldve been better, food wasn't hot. Service in restaurant below par. Breakfast fruit choices, wonderful. Facilities at this hotel are great and we really appreciated the free self-parking. Can't wait to return. October 26, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by very basic room inclusions We haven't stayed here for a few years and compared to then the accommodation was disappointing. One expects the 5 star treatment and inclusions however the inclusions such as coffee and toiletries were very basic and what you would expect and get in a 3 star hotel. July 23, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by Tired Received a phone call day before to let us know the lagoon was out of action, made the place look terrible. Room was way under expectations and pretty tired looking. TV didn't work, but fixed straight way on request. Spa bath looked as if it had been patched up. June 9, 2013

The staff are friendly & efficient, the rooms are great, and as always, the pillows are amazing! I am going to get some for our home! The breakfast has to be seen to be believed - delicious. Rated 5 out of 5 by Spectacular recent upgrade I have been coming here since the hotel opened and couldn't see how they could make the hotel any better, but the new decor and furniture is outstanding and modern and the staff as always very helpfull and polite. Rated 4 out of 5 by Slow start that got better by the day Had a bit of a shady start with one staff member who had no idea of customer service, have no idea of the name of the staff memvber in question she was meant to be our waitress in the restaurant on friday night only time we saw her was when she placed two glasses of water at the table never asked if we would like drinks and then when I went to pay the bill she handed it to me as i queued at the counter to pay. The food and beverage manager on duty was informed immediately by other staff that I had an issue and resolved it straight away and that made up for the poor service. The next morning the Assistant Food and Beverage manager was on the next morning and he also could not apologise to much for the service and you could see how sincere he was with his apologies. it is a great hotel and the Spa Studio rooms are very spacious with a great view over the resort, Stayed in room 2102 and could see out onto the beach front through a side window. Will definately be back there soon and I only ever choose starwood hotels where ever I go. August 15, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by The hotel would have to be one of the only hotels in a city that makes you feel like you are in the middle of an oasis The room was just perfect for our stay The food and service was second to none The environment was extremely relaxing The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful We enjoyed staying within the confounds of the hotel and were more than happy not to leave August 23, 2012

All Hotel staff were friendly,pleasent and very helpful with genuine smiles.The resort in its self was excellent with facilities to match.My wife and I have again re-booked for July 2013 March 9, 2013
