I checked in for an extended stay and was ready to check out by day 5. The renovations on the second floor were loud. Because I worked late into the night, often on west coast time, I slept late. My morning alarm most days was power tools. Unfortunately, the noise from guests in the hall was easily heard in the bedroom also. My daughter, who came to visit for a few days, was yelled at by a Sheraton employee who thought she was distributing pizza fliers. The hot tub had oily dirt around the edges and in the foam. The tv promoted the new sleep comfort but the beds were old. I signed up for the "green" option, requesting service on two Sundays, a Friday and when I checked out. On the days the room was suppose to be cleaned, nothing was touched and "green" placard hung on my door. Friday's request for a clean room turned to Saturday's promise which went to Sunday's guarantee to finally Monday's delivery. Thank you to the night staff who supplied me with some clean towels on Saturday night. Mini microwave in room could have been paired with tiny toaster. Mini fridge was fine. Here are the Good things: allowed to check in at 1pm after flying a red eye flight to Orlando, always kind staff , excellent breakfast service, exceptional shuttle drivers. Clean work out room. Clean room when cleaned.

I could not book my room online after going through the whole system and getting a message about updating, so I called to reserve a king room. The evening I was staying at this hotel I had traveled by air from Cleveland to Miami for meetings and then drove to Orlando. I went to check in and was told they oversold kings and could only offer me a room with double beds. I accepted and no price adjustment was offered. The elevator seemed far and inconvenient but I parked around the back of the building to bring my two rollers, purse and briefcase in. I entered the elevator pressed 2 and the doors closed, the elevator jolted a little and would not move. I also could not get out or open the doors. I hesitated to press the alarm button and used my cell to call the front desk. They advised they would need to call the engineer. After a couple tries to reset and push the front doors open he finally had to let me out through the back door into the engineering room. I asked how I should get to my room with my bags and if there was another elevator and was told there is but it was out of service! No offer to call bell hops to bring my bags up and no management in site to check in to see how I was. The engineer indicated he was able to get the elevator going and ride up with me as I was hesitant to get back on. Upon reaching my room it smelled especially of smoke which I found odd for a "smoke-free hotel". I called the front desk to alert them and no offer to move me and I asked them to note it as I would not want any type of cleaning charge to be assessed to me. When I finally settled in to use the internet that requires you pay for the service I kept getting an error. I called the front desk again and was told I would have to contact at&t directly. I was really disappointed in this stay and the lack of interest or attention from the staff. I am the type of customer that admires businesses that pay attention and are proactive if there are issues especially ones like the elevator that internally they should have communicated about. I was really disappointed in the whole experience
