Rated 1 out of 5 by BobV my last stay at New Orleans Sheraton
I made my reservation at least 4 mos in advance. Sent a request to the General manager 2 weeks before the stay requesting an upgrade to an executive room which I had gotten every stay before even during Jazzfest. Then after being told we could have the upgrade for 1 night out of a 5 night stay, but then would have to move the next day so we declined it because we had plans the next day. The room keys had to be remade 4 times in the first 48 hrs of a 5 night stay. The parking charge was too high and the waits for the car was too long whenever we got it out. In summation this was a very disappointing stay and we do not plan to ever stay there again.

Rated 4 out of 5 The hotel itself is great
I stayed here for almost a week. The room was beautiful, as was the view of the river. Great location, right at the end of the French Quarter, The drinks were good. Had trouble getting something to eat one night. The place on the second floor was closed for a private seminar reception, telling me to go to the other bistro on the same side, that was also closed. i ended up at arby's across the street. very disappointing.
My main problem was with the parking attendants. Whe I got my car to leave, there were 4 big grease spots on my armrest and the side of the seat. My car is almost new, and light gray cloth interior. when I told them about it, the manager informed me, that they park a lot of cars all day and the spaces are tight, so the guy proably got the grease on his uniform trying to squeeze out of a car. he probly never realized it.He just kept repeating it. this does not help me, now, I have to spend my time and money to get it detailed. Also they changed the radio station and when I turned the car on it was a loud hard rock music playing. the distance from the garage to the lobby is short, and I don't appriciate someone messing with my car. It shows total disrespect. I would not trust them again with my car, and since whenever I stay there, i drive in, most likely I will find another hotel. i would recommend the hotel if you are flying in, but not if driving.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Beth30 Perfect location
This hotel was a short walk away from the French Quarter. The room was very comfortable. My only complaint is the wait at the front desk. Upon my arrival, I had to wait in line over 30 minutes in order to check in. I would recommend hiring more front desk clerks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MariaSal tall tower hotel has great features
Absolutely quiet and immaculate. Wonderful helpful staff. Smiling faces always. Great bar in lounge and club lounge has the most thoughtful staff for guests to make their snack or breakfast meals enjoyable. They certainly know their city. just ask them anything you need to know about the city. They give great advice.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jodadi Terrible Service Once You Leave
I stayed that the Sheraton Easter weekend and the hotel was great. The nightmare occurred after I left. When checking in I used my debit card and was charged and extra fee for doing so. They informed me that the fee would be placed back on my card a week later. A week later the fee was never placed back so I called and they transferred me to the accounting department and the person did not answer the phone so I left him a message detailing what had taken place. A week later he never returned my call so I called and once again was forced to leave a message. He did not return this message and so the following week I called again and had repeated this for a month and half. Finally today I call and request to speak to the managers manager and they transfer me and once again I'm forced to leave a message for the lady who is manager over some department. I call back and request someone to talk to and the lady looks up my account and puts me on hold. She comes back and asks me for more details and then puts me on hold once again. She then comes back and tells me that the guy who is responsible for handling it informed her that he had taken care of it yesterday and that it would take another 5 business days to be applied back to my account making it almost a grand total of 2 months that this has not been taken care of.
Also the phone system is terrible you are only allowed to leave a 5 second message and it cuts off. When trying to play back your message it does not work and you are left to accepting what you recorded in the first place.
For a place that charges as much as they do you would think they would have updated systems in place to ensure that refunds are handled in a timely manner and you are actually given a call back within a 2-3 business days. I think they need to reevaluate their accounting personnel and ensure they are doing their job properly and not treating a guest that have left as nobodies. The awesome service should not end when you drive off after your stay. Me and my friends frequent New Orleans and we enjoyed the hotel but the after service has made me never want to visit this hotel again.
