Rated 3 out of 5 by Food needs work I had lunch once, breakfast twice at the hotel and room service one night and all I have to say is that the food was very disappointing. Especially the breakfast buffet. The waffles were hard as rock, the eggs tasteless and the coffee undrinkable. September 10, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Staff not prepared Arrived friday afternoon. Understaffed front desk. One person at the valet parking desk trying to get 25 cars in or out. Room was not cleaned on the next day. Hotel was full so management should have made sure they had enough staff. Never again. June 27, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by In need of an update Expensive valet parking with no self park option. Rooms are old and show damage in furniture and equipment/fixtures. When having a DND sign, housekeeping should stop knocking on door interrupting calls or sleep. Room service menu is not updated. December 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing Views from balcony Staying at this Sheraton makes you feel like you are not in a downtown hotel. There is minimal street noise and the view is relaxing. The bar staff was great and took care of all my needs. Looking forward to staying here on my next trip to TPA! April 24, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice Hotel-Convenient but under construction Hotel is conveniently located downtown and on river. Nice walk to Univ of Tampa. Only issue we had was the hotel was under construction. Very noisy. No adequate dining facility while construction was underway. Should be done soon. November 13, 2013

They were very flexible to work with, their location is great for a night prior to a cruise departure. Their shuttle service was smooth and reliable. The hotel is clean and the staff was great! Excellent location downtown Tampa right on the waters edge of Riverwalk. Get a balcony room overlooking water - you will be pleased. June 12, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Hotel is showing it's age We chose this hotel due to its proximity to the cruise port (about a mile away) and were pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel runs a free shuttle service to the port. Our room had been nicely renovated though the bathroom needed work. May 10, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect hotel before our cruise We found the Sheraton Riverwalk to be convenient, comfortable and perfect for our family of four prior to our cruise. Shuttle service was easy and quick and the staff was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel. April 7, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by I didn't appreciate the parking fee of $18 a day Loved the hotel, restaurant and location but I was disappointed in the parking fee. This wasn't disclosed to me until I arrived. Also there isn't much close by so you need to drive everywhere or take a taxi. August 12, 2013

Rated 1 out of 5 by Business traveler w/reservation - sent elsewhere I had an awful experience traveling to this hotel as a business traveler. My reservation was made in November for a late January stay to attend the AAPA conference. I had business meetings the day before the conference, requiring me to fly in a day early. Because I travelled from Seattle to Tampa, I had a late arrival but had been en route all day. I arrived at the hotel around 10:30, only to find that there was no room for me. The explanation was that some guests had extended their stay. The hotel then sent me 30 minutes away to a completely unacceptable location – I could not stay there. The hotel then sent me to the Ramada and I wasn’t able to get into a room until midnight. This whole experience was incredibly inconvenient. While the hotel covered this cost of the stay at the Ramada and my taxi fare, they did nothing to help me as a business traveler to find reasonably similar accommodations, and who needed to be rested and prepared for meetings. I would recommend that in the future, the hotel make every effort possible to prevent this from happening to other business travelers. February 20, 2013
