Rated 5 out of 5 by Great view Great stay My hotel experience was great t the Sheraton Waikiki. The view had a paradise feel and the room was clean and spacious. My only problem was there was no microwave in my room and when I called the front desk they said there was no way to warm up my leftovers. I mean you spend $200 on dinner and u can't even warm up your leftovers. That upset me. But everything else was wonderful. I will definitely recommend this hotel. December 20, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Nickel and Diming along with Apathetic Management Originally stayed here in 2010, was my first stay at an SPG property and thought it was great! In fact, this hotel converted me to an SPG loyalist....shame to see how much it has changed. Been back a few times subsequently and unfortunately service has declined considerably. The resort fee has gotten out of control here. $30/night+tax is sometimes more than 10% of the nightly rate. Theme of most recent stay was the hotel consistently nickel and dimes, and does not provide any type of Plat recognition that would actually cost the hotel money. (i.e. you can wait in a shorter line for breakfast, but stingy on upgrades, you need to fight for plat amenity/alt amenity, etc.) Management fakes not knowing about the Alternate Amenity owed to Plats because the resort fee includes internet; a fast Google search shows it's been addressed by SPG many times. Bill had a number of errors hotel originally refused to correct even though I had printout of the entire rate plan and it's T&Cs. Required going through SPG corporate to finally get it fixed. There are some positives: Hotel and facilities are still very nice. Rum Fire bar has good drinks as well as a number of their own cocktails that are unique and clever. The Baja sun drink was great. Happy hour menu is good as well. Plenty of pool areas, and seems to be very family friendly. Bottom line is SPG treatment is among worst of the system and they penny pinch. If you set your expectations accordingly, you'll probably be pleasantly surprised. December 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Private Business Owner Upon entering the hotel, the open air lobby makes it magical as the sand sculptures set the tone to make you feel like you're really in Hawaii. The room was beautiful seeing surfers, the ocean, mountains and often turtles. Both pools are my favorite as paddled into the ocean as well. Food quality was superb with great local artists daily at the Rum Fire. Wish the Sand Bar stayed open later to enjoy the outdoor evening breeze. Overall, great place and I will be back. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Experience Pool is fabulous and room was great. The staff went out of their way to take care of us while awaiting our late flight. Can't say enough about the Sheraton Waikiki. December 18, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by problems with infrastructure, a surprise for sheraton property drainage issues with bathtub. sliding glass doors were too thin to bar out the noise of dropping metal and construction. atypically below a sheraton class property December 17, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by SPG Platinum is treated like normal guest Stayed more than 80 days this year in SPG group hotels. First time staying in Waikiki but was treated the worst experience of year 2013. The 2 rooms toilet have many missing BASIC stuffs (toothbrush and etc). The guest service failed to bring me the correct universal power adapter. There was no newspaper given till i asked. There is no guided explaination for first time stay about the hotel surrounding. December 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Our stay Dec 2013 Amazing service, great staff especially in Club floor Lounge December 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Hotel on an iconic beach Hotel is a grand classic in the midst of Waikiki Beach and in the center of the shopping district. The Staff, from Bellmen, to Front Desk, to Housekeeping helped to make our short stay a pleasant one. The main floor lobby is a mix of shops and restaurants and a bank of many high speed elevators to serve the 30+ floors. One is certainly not bored in the midst of constant activity. Rooms& Lanais are spacious & bedding is comfortable. The room decor could use a little update as could the smallish lcd tv screens. December 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Facility, Location, & Service At every turn we were treated well, and allowed to sample various perks (e.g. lounge level). The staff is always courteous. The room was spacious, but really could have used a little more furniture (maybe a couch or extra chair). December 14, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Location I have now been to every SPG hotel in Waikiki, and the Sheraton will remain as one of my top two choices. Had some problems with housekeeping, but I wasn't expecting perfection. My advice - call ext. 27 to speak with housekeeping directly. The location is wonderful and the facilities are top notch. Also, I really enjoyed Rumfire. The Sheraton needs to replace Peets Coffee with a Starbucks or something else. It was the worst coffee service ever. I don't blame the Sheraton, but they should look into this problem. Tons of other shops there too, and very convenient. I will definitely stay there again and highly recommend it for travelers that enjoy being in the heart of Waikiki. If you have kids, they have excellent pools with slides. Also, the adult-only infinity pool is wonderful when it's not crowded. Best time to go there is first thing in the morning or late in the afternoon for an unbelievable sunset experience. Rated 2 out of 5 by Not your usual SPG experience This hotel was very crowded which is expected at this time of year. The rooms and facilities were adequate. However, the staff was not friendly but just going through the motions. At check out there was no 'thank you for staying' or 'come back again'. Absolutely no Aloha spirit. We will not stay here again. December 12, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Leaning lounge staff! Stanley Rabut, great at remembering names and drink preferences!! Very attentive and courteous. On a different note, the SPG staff at the front desk could take some lessons from Stanley. They have poor communication skills, lack customer service skills, and have no issue letting members wait 45 minutes while they go "fix the problem"!!! If I were to recommend this hotel based just on the Leahi service, I would. My overall experience was less than satisfactory. December 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Get Away Super friendly staff, even the cleaning crew. Stunning view of ocean and pool, close to shopping, mall, site seeing, December 11, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Aloha Spirit The staff at this hotel truly demonstrate the Aloha Spirit. Kai market was wonderful! And there's no better experience than enjoying a cocktail while floating around in the infinity pool! December 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel served the local community well Excellent front desk assistance for a fast check in when we were running late for an event. . December 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by MarriedandVeryHappy Thank you for making this one of our most enjoyable trips to Honolulu. On Dec 2nd my husband and I got married in the Leahi Club Lounge! We appreciate all the friendly staff especially the Leahi Club lounge staff member Jessica. She was always happy and very accommodating. Dec 2nd and this trip will always be in our hearts! We will be back. THANK YOU!! December 5, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Big property on prime location, but crowded and noisy We liked the proximity to the main Waikiki beach without being in the middle of the strip or not having beach access like some other hotels who claim to be on the beach but are on the other side of the street from it. It is very busy, many, many, many japanese guests there, but it's Waikiki after all! The only downsides were twofolds: 1. it's a noisy place, even in the rooms, the sounds travels a lot and you never seem to have peace and quiet time. 2. the infinity pool is nice but limited to 16 and over, which in this size hotel is just a little too much, also we were with a toddler, napping at the time and were told to leave to go to the 'family' pool because my sleeping daughter was below the age. This was absolutely ridiculous, and woke my daughter up in the mean time. I would much rather understand a noise limit thing were if you are deemed to noisy you are out. That would certainly make me think twice about going back... December 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent check in process with Alision - front desk Alison (Front Desk) was amazing, we were extremely blessed by her she accomodated our family as we did a belated birthday celebration for our daughter Ashlyn. She kindly upgraded us to an ocean view and took care of us locals (kamaainas). Please kindly extend a great big "Mahalo" and we will come again. We are SPG members and greatly appreciated the upgrade! Thank you! December 2, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overnight at The Sheraton Waikiki Hotel Staff were very friendly from the check in line to the housekeeping staff. The view of Diamond Head and the ocean from our room was AMAZING. Easy access to the beach, the pool, restaurants, shopping areas, and my favorite is the mini grocery store in the lobby. December 2, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Room size there was not enough space to put luggage in a practical space. Table by small couch is as big as a big pizza and did not accommodate laptop & a cup of coffee in the same time December 1, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Too big, too impersonal, poor recognition this is an oversized hotel that is so impersonal and very focussed on serving the tour groups from Japan and Korea as well as large convention groups. The lounge makes most second rate cafeterias look professional, the range of food and its unhealthy nature is appalling. The cleaner left their dirty cleaning toothbrush, They closed the main feature pool one day at 3pm - actually 2.30pm as that's when the staff needed to start closedown to meet 3pm - this was to cater a large convention. The guest services desk is is slow due to excess demand and friendly service levels are low. As for platinum recognition, no personally signed welcome letter, or special welcome plate - only time this has ever NOT happened. Not the place for welcoming personal, relaxing stay ... Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location and pool This hotel has a lot of great features, the infinity pool is amazing and our room was nice. The hotel itself seemed extremely busy, there were a lot of tour buses and tour groups around, and had a conference going on, so it was definitely full a lot. Also, small bit of feedback on one of the stores that is located in the hotel, Lawson Station, it smells horrible and the smell goes into the lobby and every time we walked passed my husband and I would remind each other to hold our breath. Also, in the store I went looking for some pharmaceuticals one day, and hardly anything was in English. I was really disappointed that the store couldn't have a better English selection since we are in America. This hotel is gorgeous with a great pool and location, however it definitely is maximizing its tour bus potential which makes it seem busy and not as friendly to the independent traveler sometimes. Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Club Lounge and good Platinum recognition We like the Sheraton Waikiki for its pools, beach access, ocean front rooms, and activities such as feeding the Koi fish. Good Platinum status recognition by hotel and staff. Maybe the best Club Lounge for a Sheraton in the U.S. November 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by There is no place else to stay but here! If U want to feel Special and to feel Like a Princess U better check in this Location as fast as possible! No need to look anywhere else Nothing to even think about! Hands Down this is it! November 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Experience with Hotel Thus Far First, I've done multiple banquet-type events throughout Oahu and all the typical chains, and the Sheraton Waikiki does it hands down the best. For example, normally, banquet food is just that...mass produced, lukewarm, borderline buffet-quality food. Sheraton Waikiki put together a legitimate nice dinner for a party of ~800--not an easy feat. The food was great. The service was fast, and the ambience was spot on. Second, it was a very special occasion for a friend and I asked Kelly, the GM, for a favor, and he got right back to me and made sure that we were taken care of and gave us a very generous and hospitable gesture that he definitely was not obligated to by any means. IMO, his actions epitomized the essence of hotel management. Cannot say enough about how much the gesture meant. Moreover, the front desk was very efficient. Room service answered all requests within 3-5 minutes. I come to the Sheraton Waikiki a couple times a month and I have yet to find a better spot in town. Great bar (Rumfire), great amenities, great shops. Can't be beat and won't be disappointed. November 22, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by The Staff at Sheraton Waikiki The staff of the Sheraton Waikiki are fantastic!! From the lowest to the highest level each person does an amazing job. Rated 5 out of 5 by Nov getaway Sheraton Waikiki is the best property on Waikiki. The amenities and staff are second to none. The property is centrally located, we didn't have to rent a car. Always a great place to vacation. Paul November 18, 2013
