Rated 3 out of 5 by DCgirl13 Good hotel, not really happy with my room
Staff was great but I did have issues with my room. First, the TV didn't work and wouldn't turn on, second my sink was very clogged and the water wouldn't flow down the drain easily and third, after taking a shower, the tub started leaking all over the bathroom floor.
I was barely in my room due to a busy work schedule so it didn't bother me at the time and I didn't have a chance to call the staff but something that should be brought to your attention.

Rated 2 out of 5 by critique1 On Mag Mile but costly
The location is good as Mag Mile within walking distance. Small room and bathroom for price. Bedding plush & nice. Shula's restaurant (inside the hotel) is the best thing about this hotel. Pricey but very good! The best steaks and crab macaroni and cheese ever! Tough to get cabs at the hotel....try walking down the block if a long line. Took awhile for luggage and extra blanket to be brought up to room. Refrig avail - if you ask, no microwaves in entire hotel. Pay for internet if in room - inconvenient to go downstairs for free internet. Pool, sauna, fitness looked great but did not have time to use. Could do away with all the items in room to eat/drink and of course pay extra.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tsant14 Not as explained
I was told the room I was staying in was one of the Hotels completely "reburbished" rooms. It was NOT.
The bath tub enamel was chipped/chipping in several places, the bed skirt was filthy (dirty spots) and the tub creaked when you stood in it.

The Hotel itself was beautiful from arriving into the driveway, throughout the lobby and reception and into my room.
It was a totally peacful environment.
The staff was always very pleasant and helpful. The reservationist (Torre) who assisted me upon arrival was so pleasant and customer friendly. She immediately wished me happy belated birthday when she saw my license. Her birthday was also in September and she recommended a nice bakery if I wanted a cake. She was so nice I made sure I brought her a slice of cake for her birthday.
The concierge, staff at the breakfast buffet restaurant, just everyone seemed on top of their game at the hotel.
I would definitely stay there again.

This is a large hotel in downtown Chicago, yet the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, quiet and had a great view of the Chicago River (and I could even see the lake and Adler Planetarium!). We live in the Chicago Metro area, but need to stay downtown occasionally; this time for a conference. I remarked to my husband that the staff here makes our city look friendly and welcoming: a Midwestern trait of which we are very proud. I would recommend it to anyone who needs to be in the Loop, or for tourists who would like to be near Navy Pier and Michigan Avenue without all the chaos.

The Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers is located just north of the river and east of the “Miracle Mile” is this area unto itself. It like being in the heart of the action without the traffic. The hotel has wonderful views, and walkable to any north Michigan Ave. locale, restaurant or shopping. I’ve been coming to Chicago for a long time. I have my favorite hotels and now the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers my newest favorite – for its location. It’s like being in a little island in the middle of the city -- view of the Lake, Navy Pier and the Chicago River with the amenities that your expect from Sheraton.

Rated 5 out of 5 Accommodating Staff
When I got there I was booked for two rooms. My friend and I went to the first room and it was under construction. The room should have been taken off the list but it wasn't. I went downstairs a little upset, but I didn't show it. A young lady changed the room but only King rooms were available. She upgraded the room and included complimentary breakfast. She was very nice and thanked me for being nice. The next day when my other guest arrived, we went back down stairs and got two double rooms. The staff were very accommodating and even moved the things out of one room. The hotel staff was very nice and the Hotel is in a great location! I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bangs Great Hotel but last visit disappointing
I stay at this hotel frequently. It is a great hotel. However, during my last visit at Christmas, there was a huge convention. The hotel was mobbed with adults and children. The elevators were extremely crowded, and there was no water or other beverage in the Club Room cooler when I went there. We were also told that there was no valet parking. The computers were overtaken by children playing video games. I will not stay at this hotel during Christmas if the same convention is booked there. I have stayed at the hotel when other conventions were in town but never experienced such a mob scene as this one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ELizabeth48 This hotel is a huge dissapointent
Hotel is average in comfort and cleanliness but service is horrible. Ordered coffee @ 6:30 am received @8:00 when i was leaving for conference. Called room service for a wine key in the afternoon waited over an hour two calls later went to the front desk and finally someone brought one to my room. Remote was not working had to wait over an hour to have a new one brought to the room. Staff did not seem to care from the bar to room service. I would expect to pay about 100.00 per night for this kind of hotel. very dissapointing.

To celebrate the end of my children's summer vacation, I reserved a large two bedroom suite at the Sheraton downtown Chicago. It was BEAUTIFUL! The view outside the window wasn't so great BUT the room itself was beyond words. There was so much space that it was as if we had rented an apartment! Everything was perfect..................until I checked out of the hotel and retrieved my vehicle. I spent over $1,800.00 on accommodations only to be charged an additional $100+ dollars for parking my car! I can NOT BELIEVE that The Sheraton management staff would go so far to nickel and dime someone who has spent so much money on a 2 night stay at the hotel. I was all smiles until this happened.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Larry1862 Don't expect much from Club Lounge
We recently stayed at the Chicago Hotel & Towers. We had a two night stay and had two rooms for 4/5/12 - 4/7/12.
The rooms were great.
At check in there were about 45 people on the line to check in, in front of us & The SPG desk was unmanned.
The club level lounge had lines out the door in the morning and evening. The club lounge staff was extremely nice, but were overwhelmed. The club lounge was a pigsty and the food was ransacked by the hordes of people. The club lounge is a nice amenity when it is not available to everyone. During this stay (and we checked on several occasions) it was all but unusable.
They also lost our car in the garage and delyaed us for over an hour one day.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bohemiana Noisy plumbing in the rooms--Fed Ex Business Center
The biggest complaint is that we could hear the shower/plumbing from other rooms like a freight train in our room. The room above took a shower at about 5 a.m. and it woke us up.
Also, this is the first SPG hotel I've ever stayed in that didn't have a business center. I thought the fees at the Fed Ex office were too expensive. They charge $3 per fax page and .40 per minute to use the computers. Most of the guests fill the lobby using the free wi-fi, which I did as well except for the fact I had to send a fax. Given the fact that there are about 40 guests sitting around the lobby on the wi-fi, I think it would be a smart investment to offer a less-expensive cost to using it in the room.

The Sheraton is our favorite place in Chicago to stay! They once again provided us with a room to view the parade and fireworks from the room which is awesome for our grandchildren. A couple of areas of disappointment were the pool was freezing and very disappointed that there were no Christmas trees/decorations up for the weekend which for the past 15 years we have been coming they were up. My only wish would be that the "United Nations" that takes place during this weekend be moved to a different weekend because the hotel is soooo crowded and the kids are so loud in the hallways in the evening.

Rated 5 out of 5 by awink Exceptional experience
The downtown Sheraton provided our young family with an exceptional vacation experience. From the moment we checked in we received superior service--our questions were answered, our requests were completed...at every turn the hotel staff anticipated our needs.
In addition to extraordinary customer service, the Sheraton also provides an ideal location for a classic, downtown Chicago experience: on the river; views of Lake Michigan; a short walk from Navy Pier, Michigan Ave, and Millennium Park. You'll have a difficult time finding a better location.
For these and many more reasons our family highly recommends this hotel for your next trip to Chicago, whether it be for business or leisure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by HIHOSilver Annual Business Show - Group
I take a group every year and book about 12 rooms. The staff love the hotel vs the convention hotel across the street where our convention is held. Its close to great food and shopping. The Business lounge could use an upgrade and a better selection of food. If your room is adjoining with a door the noise carriers through and you hear your neighbour al night!

Rated 3 out of 5 by TGRtraveler Good and bad
While the staff was accommodating when we checked in, I had to switch rooms because I did not get the upgrade I expected. This was fixed promptly and to my satisfaction. After the helpful and accommodating check-in process it went downhill. The rooms were not as clean as we expected. The toiletries were not good. But what actually made our trip less enjoyable was the lack of assistance we received from night time staff. We asked for directions and were not given clear instructions inside the hotel. We were give even worse instructions on locating a bar next door to the hotel. We valet parked, yet had to go inside to the desk and wait in line to drop the keys off to the desk and then had to go to the garage ourselves twice to get the car. If I wanted to go to the garage I would have self parked. Honestly I feel we should get our money back for valet. I will never stay here again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by bgilles Old, expensive and service equal to zero
Hotels with good service are very very rare, as one knows, even, at $1,680 for 2 rooms , 2 nights. But this one is particularly shamefull with unqualified and arrogant personnel (all of them, but the valets). Worst : rooms were not made at 5pm, bathrooms durty, room telephones ugly (with hair, eye brows and a lot of testy things glued to it , in both of the rooms!), carpet stained with marmelade or chewing gum or else, and we had to change a duvet with a big "strange" stain ! Opposingly to their pretentious motos, Sheraton is indeed a dead brand, that we will try to avoid as much as possible !

Rated 3 out of 5 by arguetadiane Spring break
Unfortunately the hotel was ill prepared in being able to foresee that during spring break the pool will have to be cleaned/treated daily as many families attend during this time of year. Offering to send families out in the cold to another location is not ideal nor is it a comparable compensation as having Inhouse access to pool is the main reason for booking a two light stay at the Sheraton. Very unfortunate to have plans altered by the overlook on the hotels management team;also a disappointment to not have been offered a one or two night compensation to hotel guests for this inconvenience.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ALBH616 Love this hotel
My husband and I have stayed at this hotel many times. This stay was as pleasant as always; the beds are comfortable and the atmosphere is always swank and sexy. During this stay there was construction going on which didn't seem to effect our visit until morning when the banging began early. Upon checkout, an email was sent to management regarding this unfortunate circumstance. The immediate attention and concern was exactly what I expected from this brand. I will return, I mean construction generally means even more improvement, right?
I have to say Shula's, the hotel restaurant never fails.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JOY123 Great Stay! Hotel is First Class!
Great location. River View was especially nice. Beds/pillows were like sleeping on a cloud! Linens were fresh & clean. All areas of the hotel were kept clean. Edward & Nate in Valet Parking took such good care of us! Thanks guys! Only negative was that there was a HUGE convention going on & those convention people tended to consume the hotel & facilities. They descended on the hotel & it was difficult to find any "free space" at the hotel that didn't have others already there, hooked up to laptops, dining, drinking, etc. We LOVED the convenience of the Continental Breakfast & Snack Club. .

Rated 3 out of 5 by TorontoDB Great City, OK hotel
I stayed at the Sheraton Chicago during the restaurant show so they were sold out and as a result I ended up in an "ADA equipped room" but unfortunately there was no where to out your shaving kit etc. The Internet was very slow and the desk chair was broken. They replaced it with an older wooden chair with a nail poking thru the seat cushion. The arm chair had a layer of visible dust. The staff were generally pleasant and the location of the hotel was great. The room decor was fairly up to date. So overall, loved the city, and the Sheraton was OK. Would conditionally recommend to friends.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jdisappointed a bit unnerved
I killed two small black flies in my room. There was a rumor of bed bugs in other rooms. The Starbucks had few food options - it did not look appealing. The bar table areas and chairs frequently had crumbs and was sticky - last call on Thursday night was 11:45 despite a full bar and lounge area of business people. Limited food offerings and slow service to lounge tables. Few hairspray offerings in the shop and $4 for a small spray seems incredulous!

I like your hotel, located in a good spot.
Couple of opportunities:
1- The Pillow are bad, very flat and need to be replaced.
2- The bathroom has mold on floor tile, looks bad.
3- Nice view
4- Staff is wonderful

Rated 2 out of 5 by Doc12 You could do better
A little disappointing, overall. The rooms are a bit dated and in need of maintenance such as a towel bar falling off the wall. No bible in the room. I was supposed to get a voucher for each night participating in the "Green" initiative which forgoes cleaning of the room but the staff obviously were unaware of how it worked and my vouchers never appeared. Check-out/check-in was chaotic with only one staff member available until the line reached 30 people and people started to complain. Everything was overpriced--$5 for a small bottle of water? Really? Overall, the value was not there...
