My room did not have a clock or a refrigerator, although other guest rooms had them. My TV reception was horrid. Many of the channels offered would not tune in. Felt like I was back in the '80s. I had to unplug the TV and turn it back on to get the stations to show up. Many of them were only analog signal. On a positive note, this was one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in in a hotel. Very pleased with that. Wi-Fi signal was strong.

tv reception was bad. Internet in loby was bad. favorite tv channel is tnt which was not operational the entire stay. internet in loby was off and on. no refrigerator in room.

The hotel is very clean and the staff was nice. However, BRING AN ALARM. My wake up call never came. When I brought this to the front desks attention they didn't seem very concerned, however I was late to my meeting - the whole reason I came to Norfolk.

Clean, comfortable beds, excellent and professional staff. I left behind all my valuable jewelry (gold,diamonds,etc) on the nightstand when I checked out. When I got home 9 hours later, I realized I left it behind. Talk about honesty, the maid returned all my jewelry to the head of housekeeping, who then was able to return it to me. Outstanding service,.....just outstanding!!!!

I was not totaly info by the front desk on what my Wife and I had expected for the 10 Floor until the morning we where checking out. It was disapointing to find out these things were available after or on about checkout time. Would Recommend but info He/She on the Goodys

Centrally located near restaurants, historical military displays - including the U.S.S. Wisconsin docked three blocks away, the Sheraton Waterside is a bargain gem. Friendly, helpful staff greet you at every turn. Their 'breakfast included' rate is a bargain and unique for its quality. It's my new home away from home in Norfolk.

Myself and my new husband stayed here for our honeymoon. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were spacious and clean. They also had several computer in the lobby with free printing which was helpful since were both FT college students. We had our laptop with us, but the extra use of their computers and the free printing made doing our homework easier. The staff was nice and everything we needed from food to valet parking was at our finger tips.

My room was GREAT! I had a balcony that had a city view AND my bed faced the water - I had the best of both worlds! The hotel is right off of the highway and is river-front (I think it is the James River). The hotel literally sits in the midst of so much American History. You must walk the Board Walk and stop along the way to look at the bronzed letters (this will make sense once you get there). I loved the Owner's Club Lounge; had a nice variety and was open every time I needed a snack. The had drinks, fruit and yogurt available at all times; evening appetizers and a nice breakfast. The lounge overlooks the water, has plenty of seating, flat screen tv, computer AND printer. The gym is small but nice and clean with a temperature controlled "cooler" with small hand cloths. The outdoor pool was nice and it had lounge chairs which needed to be updated. I thought the pool areas was a little "dated". Check-in was a little longer than expected but it was well worth the wait. The staff is extremely accommodating and actually came from behind the desk and handed me my room keys (I cannot remember his name, but it had a very unique spelling). I opted to self-park in the garage ($8.00 with the Sheraton discount); the last time I stayed, parking was free (of course it has been at least 1 year). Norfolk has rich history and has done a nice job in preserving it. aI highly recommend the Sheraton in Norfolk.

All staff were exceptional from the check in at the desk, the bartender in the lounge, to the valet at departure. Our room overlooking the harbor was wonderful. We enjoyed the club level and would like to commend the attendants that were on duty during our stay. Both the evening and the morning hostess' went out of their way to make sure our needs were met. The food was the best club level food yet! I misplaced my note w the name of the evening attendant who was great and for that I apologize.

We used points for our stay. Hotel was very busy with reunions and weddings but noise level was fine and we were in a room right at the elevator. Did not eat. Valet $22 or self park for $13. They will validate ticket for $5 off self park. In case of bad weather you may want to valet as it is a little bit of a walk to garage.
Our room had a river view and we enjoyed watching the ships and seeing everything from a different perspective.

I reserved 2 rooms for 2 nights - both were very nice - rooms # 1063 & 1065.
From the time I started the check-in process to departure time, I was extremely pleased with everyone of staff that I encountered. All were helpful and friendly, appearing ready and willing to to assist.
The Club Lounge was very nice and well equipped to handle my daily computer needs, Internet and emails. I used the scanner and printer to reply some urgent business emails.
I liked and participated in the " Make A Green Choice" that Rewarded me 500 Starwood Preferred Guest Starpoints® awarded at check out for each night I declined housekeeping services (except day of departure). I was promised to get 2000 points for the 2 rooms and my stay.
My family and guests were also very satisfied.

My family and I picked Sheraton over the list of recommended hotels for a wedding we were attending. We usually have a good stay at Sheraton properties, but this one was not one of them.
Our first night stay was interrupted by a running toilet that we decided to have fixed manually ourselves just for the night.
We were rudely waken by some early morning drilling above our room. We called the front desk about it and our problem of the running toilet. When my wife took a shower, the shower head arm came off. So that was one more thing to fix in the bathroom. The drilling had stopped, but the bathroom maintenance held up our hygiene preparations for the wedding.

One of the best Reunions our ship(USS Salem) has had. Food was outstanding. Personnel fabulous and accomodating.
Valet service friendly and helpful with directions and suggesting. Wait staff and catering "Five Star".

From the time I started the check-in process to departure time, I was extremely pleased with everyone on staff that I encountered. All were helpful and friendly, appearing ready and willing to go beyond the "call of duty" to assist. I had multiple meals in the restaurant and found the food to be extremely good and reasonably priced. Servers in the restaurant did not disappoint. Parking was not as convenient as I would have liked, since I prefer self-parking. However, I found enjoyment in there being so many attractions within walking distance.

Waterside is located in an area of restaurants, shopping, and tours on Navy ships. Very pleasant! Staff is VERY helpful -- especially with personal request we made. Only one problem -- wi-fi in the rooms. Internet in the lobby was sketchy at best and not convenient. Today's guests travel with laptops!

The hotel was not bad overall. I had a bad experience before i arrived. I was originally booked/reserved for Sep 19-21, 2012. I had to cancel my arrival on Sep 19 due to an emergency.(I am a Police Chief attending a Crime Clinic Conference). The folks i spoke with at reservations were pleasant and assured me there would not be a problem with my arrival changing to Sep 20, 2012. I called on Sep 20...good thing. The person at the hotel stated that my credit card had been charged and my reservationwas cancelled. (I only needed to change my arrival by a day)! she did get me a room but made it clear, 'I was lucky'. I am having my assistant dispute this.

Very disappointed. Walls must be paper thin; people talking in room next door woke me at midnight, 2 AM, 3 AM. Called front desk each time; at 3:30 I told them to move me to another room. Security came to my room and said he could not hear anything; called front desk when I insisted that they move me. Next room was adjacent to elevators; conference attendees very noisy getting off elevators till after midnight. Rooms/lobby need serious updating. No WiFi in rooms. Was charged for Internet even though I asked for Internet as my Lifetime Gold amenity. Fixed at checkout. Self parking is very inconvenient. Long walk in the open. At least it was not raining during my stay. I will not stay here again.

We were at Sheraton Norflk for an overnight stay and it was really a memorable experience. The room was spacious and bed was comfortable. I especially liked the soft pillows. However, I felt the common area, the carpet pathway was a bit worn out. The hot breakfast was great with wide variety of options including fresh omelets cooked as per our ingredients in front of us. A pleasant harbor view walkway in the morning was excellent. All the staff members was very helpful and the valet parking option was really convenient as we reach late in the night and it was raining.

Hotel is in a great location. Able to park the car and walk on foot to most of the area attractions and restaurants. Staff at the front desk was helpful and met our needs. The part that needs improvement is the housekeeping. Besides emptying the trash, making the bed, and replacing towels nothing else was done. Room glasses were not exchanged for new glasses. Glasses that were left from a room service order on Thursday night were still in the room when we checked out on Sunday. Also had to track down a housekeeper and ask for toilet paper because that was not replaced.

The hotel had a great locale. The area was quiet and scenic and easily accessible. The food, both in the restaurant and room service, was horrible. The pizza was hard and crispy, and the best suggestion in the restaurant, the scallop dish, tasted cold and bland. The room accomodations, however, was wonderful! The pillows were the most comfy I had ever slept on. Would definitely stay here again!
