Rated 3 out of 5 by zoorockstar Couldn't find reservations
Upon arrival, they could not find our reservations. After a 10 minute wait, they were able to find us a room because i had brought a printout proving our reservations. I had asked for a larger room to accomodate a rollout. They did not have this available. They did not offer to see if there was a room available on a subsequent night and to move us. I called down to ask for additional bedding since my 6'2" son was going to sleep on the floor and they could not provide a rollout for this room. They brought up 2 thin blankets. The staff was courteous but I did not feel that they went out of their way to accomodate us and the fact that our reservation was missing. We also ate in the restaurant and while the food was excellent as was the staff, I thought it was VERY expensive.... even for Chicago standards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sandbagger Terrific Weekend in Chicago!
We stayed at this hotel because of the great rate offered to Strictly Sail attendees. Proximity to Navy Pier and Michigan Ave. was terrific. Hotel staff was very helpful and accomondating. Rooms were very well appointed, clean and housekeeping was excellent! We will definately return to this hotel when visiting Chicago.

After a very long & exhausting day in my Ct office-my day ended with a flight to Chicago with the prospect of 3 -15 hour days ahead of me. My colleagues and I were sleep walking by the time we arrived at the hotel. Then there was Kenyada at reception; The most delightful bubbly girl-she welcomed us to Chicago & the hotel. She had a special way of being friendly and engaging without being over the top for the late hour of the evening; She promised my co-workers & I -that we would melt into beds of clouds. She was right- the rooms were clean neat and very comfortable; The comforters were amazing - it was heaven and clouds; I was asleep in 10 minutes & the view she promised was incredible. She made being away from home a little easier. Thanks Kenyada from a very appreciative new SPG member in Connecticut.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DVTV Great Hotel, Caring Staff, Comfortable Rooms
My husband and I have stayed several nights at this hotel as he has had monthly procedures at the University of Chicago Hospital. The staff are friendly and helpful, our rooms have been handicapped ascessible and very comfortable. We love the view! We've enjoyed the access to the Chicago River Walk and dinner at the Chicago Burger Company on the lower level. This hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants and is just 15 minutes away from the University of Chicago Hospital.

Hotel has great location. Great club room staff. When we checked in we were disappointed as we had requested connecting rooms and were told not available, but we would be "close". Close was one end of the hall to the other...not my definition of close. Just frustrating, and I will vent with SPG also, that you can't reserve the rooms you want, as we guarantee them with a credit card. Airlines give us the seat we pick, but you guys can't figure out how to do this with your rooms?

Rated 4 out of 5 by GoHuskies Great for business or pleasure
I was in town for a couple games at Soldier Field. Over the course of my stay a couple conferences came through, so the hotel was lively to say the least. Still, there was plenty of space and I never had to really wait for an elevator or in the gym, which was perfectly satisfactory and well maintained. The location makes many things downtown an easy walk, and the restaurant does a nice job. Whatever that martini with the dash of Lagavulin was, it's now on my must have list.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Andy54 Rooms Near Elevators and Billing
The young woman who checked me in was friendly, warm, and helpful. I think she placed me near the elevator, Rm 1712, because she knew I had mobility issues. The only problem is that the elevator makes a horrible noise--I could not sleep. Also, I did not purchase a Red Bull or Pringles Potato Chips, which appear on my bill. I am not asking for a refund because you found the insulin, chargers, and my bag of jewelry and are returning it to me. A few extra charges mean nothing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nipper Worst SPG treatment and stay
Although the hotel the lobby where very nice, and the room a nice view. The treatment and facilites where not up to par.
Had to go to four floors to find a working ice machine.
No hot water in the morning and hotel was not busy it was less than 50% fulll according to the staff, which when I voice any of my concerns they just fell on deaf ears. They also do not honour all the priviledges you are suppose to get with Gold and don't even seem to care, it is just a matter of fact

Rated 1 out of 5 by Horne21 hot rooms and unhelpful staff
We arrived to chaos in the lobby because peoples rooms were not ready and it was after 4pm. Our room the first night was unbearably hot so the 2nd day we immediately contacted guest services and they said that they would send someone up. This went on ALL day....our last request was when we got back to our room at 2am and it was still hot. They came and opened a window...not helpful. The room was not clean..candy on the floor and hair in the bathroom and tub Not a great stay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Starnight295 The staff were great people and wonderful professionals
Almost all(except one) of the front desk people, were very kind, professional and friendly people. All the staff in the Sheraton lounge and their Hamburger Restaurant were superior staff members who were kind and friendly. All these staff members and the mangement person I worked with worked very hard to make things right the first time and if there were technical problems made sure my wife as well as I were completely satisfied with the solution to the technical concerns.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DaBearz Clean quiet room at good rate
My wife got a great deal on a room with riverside view. This is a great place to stay close to mich ave shopping, navy pier, chicago's annual kristkindl market in the loop. Clean comfy beds, clean bathroom, quiet room. Room service dinner was pricey but good food served hot and on time. Minuses: the indoor pool was cold and we were charged twice for self-parking. I am working with Sheraton's courteous billing dept about the parking issue.

Rated 3 out of 5 by doug4089 Inadequate
- Staff was excellent
- Check in and check out lines were excessive.
- Quality of room furnishing poor, no couch, only one easy chair, very stark.
- The key & lock system DID NOT WORK. Ourselves and others had trouble getting the key to register in the lock.
- Bathroom sink handles lifted OFF!
- Lighting around the mirror was missing the flouresence tube across the top.
- Complimentry Breakfast was poor, Hampton Inns are better. No sugar free or whole wheat offerings..

Rated 4 out of 5 by MarkK Not up to the usual standard
I recently stayed at this Sheraton and have always had a great experience until my most recent stay. I am platinum member and am currently traveling with a broken foot. Although provided a handicap accessible room, I was put in a separate tower requiring me to switch elevators and it was one of the bellman who asked why I wasn't put on a more convenient floor. A little disappointed. The worst experience was with the valet. Requested my car 20 minutes in advance and when I got to the pick up, the care was misplaced. Had a wait an additional 10-15 minutes for the to find it. On the second day I called 30 minutes in advance and again the car wasn't ready. The valet told me it was a 10 min walk to another lot to get the car. I told him I called 30 minutes ago, ended up being late for my meeting. It took 45 minutes in total....
everyone is blaming someone else. Was the worst experience at this hotel EVER!

Rated 5 out of 5 by bcareo I love this hotel
I stay in this hotel every year for NAR's Leadership Conference. While I have choices of other hotels, I'm always sitting ready on the computer to get into this hotel. The cabinet that had the drawers and held the mini bar was not up to Sheraton standards and there was dust on a lot of the furniture but I still enjoyed my stay. I could not believe how quiet it was on my floor. I choose to upgrade my 2014 President to a higher grade room so he could get a water view.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mct1 Good hotel in Chicago
Enjoyed my stay once I got into my room. Got in about 12:30 p.m. and couldn't check into room until 3:00. At 3:00, room wasn't ready, at 5:30 p.m. I called again and after pushing a little, got into the room by 6. I did get a $30 credit for my trouble but would have rather gotten into the room at an appropriate time. Room nice, spacious and comfy. We did have a meeting room on the lower level but found bathrooms to be quite far away. MIght be a problem with a large meeting. Overall, hotel was fine - workout area was good. Pool looked nice. Limited evening dinner locations in the hotel. An expensive Shula's steak house was all that was available so a walk to a restaurant might be needed but there are many close. I was charged for a minibar item that I did not even open but they took off the charge. Overall, a nice stay.

Rated 3 out of 5 by labday Nice location
We have stayed at the Sheraton Hotel & Towers for the last few years and this time was the worst. Our room felt like someone had just threw things in it so they could put people in it . There was no clock/alarm, one chair, we had to hunt down the glasses and ice bucket. The phone system was the worst. We called for a wake up call and never received a call. If it wasn't for the couple we were traveling with we would have missed our ride to the airport and our flight.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Dissatisfied Nights very loud at this hotel
The room I stayed in was remodeled, which was nice compared to previous stays. However, the walls/door to the hallway were very thin and you could hear EVERYTHING all evening long. I believe the person staying across the hall from me normally worked in another time zone and was on the phone most of the night, making what sounded like business calls. I got very little sleep in 3 days. The hotel staff did not seem to care and offered nothing regarding compensation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sarah Courteous Front Desk
Wanted to make the most of a normal weekend, flew in early on Saturday and flew out late Sunday. The front desk not only granted us a check-in around 1p on Saturday, but they also allowed for a 4p check out on Sunday. A nice location and a good view of the lake from one of the corner rooms on the 15th floor. The lobby is open and welcoming, room was clean, etc. These courtesies were extended without Gold or Platinum status, which makes them even more appreciated!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Lillie86 Unexpected Surprises!
The location is conveniently walking distance from Navy Pier & Michigan Ave. I was satisfied with the Customer Service I received alongside how quiet and comfortable the room was. My only dissapointment was the cleanliness of the room.Although it was very organized some of the areas where filled with dust bunnies. The bathroom shelves where filled with dust, as where the towel racks. The bathroom floor & bathtub had "hairs" all over!

Rated 2 out of 5 by kathleen64 Sheraton Tower Chicago Xmas week
Seemed understaffed and hotel was under renovation. Thankfully pool was open as it was a hit with the grandkids. When we checked in to 16 floor...halls were littered with food trays and hadn't been swept. Reported on day after check in but wasn't cleaned til late that day (the 27th). Room didn't have all amenities when we checked and room had food odor. Staff that was there were very nice but clearly there were not enough of them in restaurants, front desk, etc.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DealHunter Good Value Overall
Spring break a challenge for any busy hotel. Pool exceeding crowded with guests and looked like it was "on its own" from at least the time we arrived at the pool 4p to 10pm close. Used towels, coffee cups, completely wet deck, everywhere. The views make up for it.
Still, good value and great experience, extremely soft linens and yummy beds, renovated rooms, great location.
Lobby's Shula's steak house excellent food and service but pricey for a family budget..

Rated 5 out of 5 by SuperLobbyist A great business location in Chicago River North
A superb location and excellent service mark this large and very comfortable establishment, in Chicago's River North neighborhood. Staff is engaged and friendly; and appear to be truly concerned about the welfare of guests. Rooms on the club level are well appointed and relatively large. The only off note was the quality and preparation of the evening "snacks" offered in the Club Lounge in the evening; though the continental breakfast in the morning was fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ppat Excellent hotel, excellent location
Besides the location which was perfect with most downtown attractions within walking distance and great views (Hancock and Navy Pier in the North, and Willis Tower and Chicago River in the South), we found the hotel staff to be very accommodating and courteous. They checked us in much earlier than normal and extended our check-out time to early evening at our request. The concierge was very knowledgeable and helpful in charting out a plan for touring Chicago.

Rated 3 out of 5 by sheratondisappointment Uncaring about 6am hammering and drilling
I was given a handicap room because it was the only one available. The bathroom did not have enough towels and I called guest services for more. None ever arrived. I got one from the housekeeper in the hallway. I was waked up on the second morning a little after 6am by loud hammering and drill noise. Even though I was on the 32nd floor, the hotel said that it was not responsible for the noise because it was outside the hotel and not its responsibility. The only thing out my window was the Chicago River and 32 floors of air. The hotel never apologized for the noise. The desk said that I would be given extra SPG points but that has not happened. This is a large convention hotel with a nice location. However, it is not a quality destination and the Executive Lounge is one of the most average I have seen. Uneatable continental breakfast.

Rated 4 out of 5 by doublec96 Park somewhere else
Everything was great.... however I think it's obscene to charge your GUESTS $50 a day to park. I think it's insulting to charge a guest who's paying a premium price to stay, for parking at all (minus a valet tip/surcharge) let alone $50. I don't care that it's "in Chicago" where everything is expensive, I think it's in poor taste. We paid an initial $25 for the valet & a partial day upon arrival & ended up leaving the car at Mcormick Place all week. Even with cab fare back to the hotel every night added in, it was still cheaper than the Sheraton. Also there needs to be signage underneath the building to direct guests how to get to the top level where the main entrance/valet is. We drove around under the hotel for 40 minutes trying to find our way & w/o a GPS signal, it was maddening trying to find our way. Bed was comfy though.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MikeC27 Very disappointed
There were two problems. I was upgraded to a suite which was greatly appreciated. The problems were: 1) the walls were paper thin. There were some noisy kids next door and I heard every word they said. 2) the following morning while taking a shower, the tub filled with water and didn't drain properly. When checking out I mentioned the problems to an agent named Mr. Mancini and he said they would try harder on my next visit. Well, that's not going to happen.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MrsN Why make reservations?
My company had booked a conference months ago but yet when I arrived, I was informed that the bed I booked wasn't available. Then, they stated they would call me the next day as they were certain MY request would be available the next day. I never got a phone call and when I inquired again about the bed I requested, they told me it was "first come first served". Why the heck are reservations REQUIRED then? To make up for the bed issue, they stated I was put in the newly renovated side of the hotel. Hardly. The room was straight out of the 70s. The bathroom shower faucet leaked so that when you took a shower you had to make sure you didn't leave anything on the counter or it would get soaked. Then the iron didn't work. Overall, AWFUL experience. Overpriced and DEFINITELY under whelmed with their hotel. Would NOT book there again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Steph16 warm welcome
From the moment I walked into your hotel I was greeted with a smile and asked if they could carry my bags for me. As I was checking in hundreds of marathon runners were checking out so it was very busy but the front desk did not miss a beat. The "can do" attitude of your team continued until I checked out several days later. Another bonus, the rooms were very comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The staff were great - from the hospitality staff to restaurant servers. My room was always clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud -truly!
I want to comment the concierge staff, especially Albert, who was always there to provide me and my friends with good advice and directions on places visit throughout the city. It was truly a great hotel stay! Would highly recommend!

Rated 3 out of 5 by CubsFan83 There are better hotels in Chicago for this price
Was in town for the Cub Convention. This was my first (and last) visit to this property and I was very disappointed. Due to the convention and a large number of attendees, it was difficult to move around, to access the escalators and several the elevators were not functioning -which caused us to wait nearly 30 minutes to get down to the lobby from the 22nd floor. Our room was in need of housekeeping; hairs in the shower, dust, hair and glass rings on the nightstand. The pillows were like bags of mashed potatoes offering no support. The bathroom also could use a better wipe down. Additionally, house keeping should consider vacuuming under the bed once in a while - I found some interesting things under there. In the closet there were broken hangers, the ironing board was on the floor and once again it needed to be vacuumed. If I do return to Chicago for next year's Cubs convention I WILL NOT stay at the Sheraton.
