Rated 3 out of 5 Great Location - but overall stay spoilt by sloppy administration For some unknown reason I had to book the Saturday and Sunday nights on separate reservation from the following Monday to Thursday (conference) On check in it was confirmed that I could keep the same room and have one bill at the end of my stay. Room was fine ( but bathroom rather tired). On check out I was presented with two seperate bills - and no way to have all on one !!! This really spoilt my stay. Executive lounge facilities fell very short of this product in other hotel brands. May 21, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hotel, Caring Staff, Comfortable Rooms My husband and I have stayed several nights at this hotel as he has had monthly procedures at the University of Chicago Hospital. The staff are friendly and helpful, our rooms have been handicapped ascessible and very comfortable. We love the view! We've enjoyed the access to the Chicago River Walk and dinner at the Chicago Burger Company on the lower level. This hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants and is just 15 minutes away from the University of Chicago Hospital. June 25, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by my 1st stay After a very long & exhausting day in my Ct office-my day ended with a flight to Chicago with the prospect of 3 -15 hour days ahead of me. My colleagues and I were sleep walking by the time we arrived at the hotel. Then there was Kenyada at reception; The most delightful bubbly girl-she welcomed us to Chicago & the hotel. She had a special way of being friendly and engaging without being over the top for the late hour of the evening; She promised my co-workers & I -that we would melt into beds of clouds. She was right- the rooms were clean neat and very comfortable; The comforters were amazing - it was heaven and clouds; I was asleep in 10 minutes & the view she promised was incredible. Rated 3 out of 5 by Couldn't find reservations Upon arrival, they could not find our reservations. After a 10 minute wait, they were able to find us a room because i had brought a printout proving our reservations. I had asked for a larger room to accomodate a rollout. They did not have this available. They did not offer to see if there was a room available on a subsequent night and to move us. I called down to ask for additional bedding since my 6'2" son was going to sleep on the floor and they could not provide a rollout for this room. They brought up 2 thin blankets. The staff was courteous but I did not feel that they went out of their way to accomodate us and the fact that our reservation was missing. We also ate in the restaurant and while the food was excellent as was the staff, I thought it was VERY expensive.... even for Chicago standards. June 11, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by One night business stay This hotel is in a great location. Walking distance (about a mile) to financial district. Even closer to some after work activities , walking distance to the Navy Pier, and a residential neighborhood with several excellent local restaurants. Also has a movie theatre, bowling alley and pharmacy within 1 block away. August 6, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Location; Incredible Staff This hotel is in a very convenient location to many Loop attractions. Right on the river, walking distance to the lake with a beautiful night view. The staff are really what made our stay shine. The front desk was friendly & efficient. The concierge services the best at any hotel I have stayed in. The lobby and attached bar area was spacious, convenient for gathering or for relaxing. The rooms were clean, provided all required amenities and the bed was VERY comfortable. April 22, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Location Location Located in the center of Chicago you are close to the river front, shopping, parks and the many Lake Michigan attractions. Check in can take some time. when we arrived there Was only one person behind the counter. at 5;30 PM one of our 2 rooms Was not ready for check in but the staff quickly found another identical room for us to check in to. Over all amenities are great but the bathrooms in the guest rooms are small if more than one person is staying. Overall a good experience. December 16, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Chicago visit with family Hotel has great location. Great club room staff. When we checked in we were disappointed as we had requested connecting rooms and were told not available, but we would be "close". Close was one end of the hall to the other...not my definition of close. Just frustrating, and I will vent with SPG also, that you can't reserve the rooms you want, as we guarantee them with a credit card. Airlines give us the seat we pick, but you guys can't figure out how to do this with your rooms? September 17, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by GREAT BEDS!! The hotel is what I expected in a first class hotel. The exceptional feature were the beds! SO COMFORTABLE! I did not want to wake up! And we had reserved 3 rooms, and all of us agreed about the beds. The check-in person was great! The concierge was helpful! Wish the pool could stay open all night as we went to it right when it closed. They did try to keep it open for us, but it was not enough time. Service was good and accommodating. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Location and Friendly Staff Our family of four traveled to Chicago to celebrate our daughters birthday. The lady who checked us in was excited for her and upgraded our room for us. She was friendly and very accommodating. The hotel location was perfect, easy to get to Michigan Ave, Navy Pier, the Museums. The rest of the staff we encountered during our stay was also friendly and accommodating. The room was a generous size for a city room and the pool was an extra perk for kids. We would stay here again. October 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hotel - Beautiful Views The room was very accommodating and the service was great. Unfortunately everything was extremely expensive. Had to buy a box of Midol in the gift shop and it was $9.00!! WOW! also I bought one drink in the bar and it cost me $15 UNREAL. On the other hand, your burger bar downstairs was reasonably priced and delicious. My recommendation is that you lower your prices for sundries and cocktails. July 14, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Worst SPG treatment and stay Although the hotel the lobby where very nice, and the room a nice view. The treatment and facilites where not up to par. Had to go to four floors to find a working ice machine. No hot water in the morning and hotel was not busy it was less than 50% fulll according to the staff, which when I voice any of my concerns they just fell on deaf ears. They also do not honour all the priviledges you are suppose to get with Gold and don't even seem to care, it is just a matter of fact April 6, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for business or pleasure I was in town for a couple games at Soldier Field. Over the course of my stay a couple conferences came through, so the hotel was lively to say the least. Still, there was plenty of space and I never had to really wait for an elevator or in the gym, which was perfectly satisfactory and well maintained. The location makes many things downtown an easy walk, and the restaurant does a nice job. Whatever that martini with the dash of Lagavulin was, it's now on my must have list. September 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rooms Near Elevators and Billing The young woman who checked me in was friendly, warm, and helpful. I think she placed me near the elevator, Rm 1712, because she knew I had mobility issues. The only problem is that the elevator makes a horrible noise--I could not sleep. Also, I did not purchase a Red Bull or Pringles Potato Chips, which appear on my bill. I am not asking for a refund because you found the insulin, chargers, and my bag of jewelry and are returning it to me. A few extra charges mean nothing. September 2, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Overall..a good stay! In spite of some rough patches,the staff, Reception, in particular, AMSTALE and housekeeping made the overall stay a pleasurable one. As for trying to get assistance with a problem on one occasion, the "attitude" and treatment that I received over the phone was completely inappropriate and in fact, negatively impacted on our entire stay. We are loyal Sheraton guests; however, with all of the hotel choices in Chicago, I would never stay at this one again! Very disappointed! November 10, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by The staff were great people and wonderful professionals Almost all(except one) of the front desk people, were very kind, professional and friendly people. All the staff in the Sheraton lounge and their Hamburger Restaurant were superior staff members who were kind and friendly. All these staff members and the mangement person I worked with worked very hard to make things right the first time and if there were technical problems made sure my wife as well as I were completely satisfied with the solution to the technical concerns. Great location, comfy room with a wonderful view and as always the staff was a pleasure to deal with. We bring our dogs often and this is now our go-to hotel for Chicago stays, very dog friendly hotel and we will be staying here exclusively from now on!! Thanks! July 29, 2014

The amenities were excellent, including the linens. The food was good, but the prices were not always reasonable (i.e. $27 breakfast). August 11, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good hotel, not really happy with my room Staff was great but I did have issues with my room. First, the TV didn't work and wouldn't turn on, second my sink was very clogged and the water wouldn't flow down the drain easily and third, after taking a shower, the tub started leaking all over the bathroom floor. I was barely in my room due to a busy work schedule so it didn't bother me at the time and I didn't have a chance to call the staff but something that should be brought to your attention.
