Rated 4 out of 5 by Best in the boat overall We've been coming to this resort for over 10 years- early without kids last 7 years with- when you consider the location- you are practically on the Christie lift and gondola - true ski in/out- the large comfortable lobby with live entertainment most evenings and drink specials- the outdoor fireplaces - the fantastic breakfast buffet (for a great price especially if you're platinum) and the option within walking distance - this place can't be beat. A recent renovation and some upgrades (pool, new hot tub, new poolside fireplace) make this the place to enjoy the boat. February 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Our annual "VWOP" trip. It couldn't have been better! "VWOP" Every year we take our granddaughters on a "Vacation Without Parents" and this year we made a trip to the Sheridan in Steamboat Springs. We had the BEST time ever. We had so much fun we tried to make arrangements for another trip to the Sheridan over President's Day weekend, unfortunately, we didn't make reservations in time :o(. What made the trip such a pleasant experience and downright fun was that everything was EASY. The entire staff was awesome; the front desk, maid service, restaurant staff, ski shop, and concierge (sorry if I missed anyone). We will be back! Thank you. February 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Travelling with two rowdy boys This is the fourth year in a row I have stayed in this hotel during the month of February. This is the second year I have brought my two sons (age 4 & 5). This is a busy time of year for this area due to the popularity of skiing. We have always had all of our needs met and issues addressed promptly. The staff went out of their way last year to rush my sons iPod to the airport when the maid realized it had been left. We have never received anything but excellent service at this hotel. The location of this hotel is second to none in Steamboat. February 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by If you want to feel like a VIP This is the premium location to stay if visiting Steamboat Springs to ski. It is located not only at the slope side, but our hotel room was literally a brief elevator ride away from the ski rental store. We couldn't believe how nice everyone was. Kole the shuttle guy, Kao and Gomez in the ski rental store, and every single hotel desk representative were so easy going and friendly. We even met the hotel manager Dan walking through the halls and he stopped to introduce himself. We have never stayed at a hotel where that happens. My son and I had nightly hour long snow ball fun/fights out in front of the hotel. Did the hotel come out and stop us and say it was unsafe and not allowed...Nope. They even commented how great it was to watch. January 23, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by This Hotel is a Motel The pictures are vary deceiving on the web. Taken from the one or two good spots in the lobby. The rooms are Fair to Poor remodels. Faucet and shower fixture are old and waste lots of water. Drains and waste pipes are noisy and can be herd all night and day. Hallways are dirty from dishes left from room-service only picked up every twelve hours. To sum it up the hotel is old and tired & does not need any more layers of wallpaper. January 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Meets Starwood Quality and exceeds expectations The hotel staff are amazing and accommodate all of your needs whether they are expected or even beyond what is required. Gatlin from management went above and beyond to make sure our room was to our satisfaction. Michael from the front desk staff made sure to communicate quickly with Gatlin upon our arrival. The valet Gents, Dirk and Michael, are also a class act. Thank you for a great stay. The amenities and cleanliness of the hotel meet and exceed starwood quality from my experience. December 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best resort for Thanksgiving Skiing This resort offers the best attention to detail for a memorable family ski vacation. The front desk manager, Victor, personally saw to my families needs and went out of his way to accommodate us. Ski rental and storage couldn't be more convenient. Staff remains consistent year to year and makes for a friendly stay. December 4, 2014

Beds were very comfortable, fine sheets and pillows. I would come later in the year and ski here for sure. Couldn't eat much--everything was closed. November 17, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Super location! We enjoyed our stay at this hotel last weekend. There is some work happening out in the front courtyard so you currently enter from the public parking garage and a temporary walkway that brings you in by the meeting rooms. We understand that you can only get this done in the "off season" and it was just a minor inconvenience. Great location right next the the gondola and the ski hill is right out front. Breakfast in the morning was very good at "Sevens". Really liked the half order option. October 6, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Get Away Wekend Spent. "Girls" get away weekend at the Sheraton and everything was excellent. The location is perfect and the restaurant's food service is outstanding. Their lounge and outdoor dining area overlooking the ski slope is dramatic and comfortable. The rooms have comfortable small balconies with seating which was very nice. The staff, especially the concierge, was incredibly helpful. My only request would be a small microwave in the room. September 22, 2014

One thing top comforters were to heavy to sleep under need to go to a lighter down comforter. Every thing was really very good clean all update pleasant staff good experience. Joey September 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fabulous fall weekend getaway Great hotel with everything you need. The gondola is right there Rooms were clean, bed comfortable, loved my starbucks coffee in my room...they even had a shuttle to take us downtown for dinner. Phillip at the front desk was wonderful and did double duty checking us in and later the shuttle driver...so polite and informative. great place for a fall getaway September 15, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by HVAC Issues Noise, Noise , Noise. The vent in my room was a constant rumble and the air was vented directly in my face. So I turned it off and opened the patio door which was above the condensing unit fan outside, which was even louder, so it was back to the a/c in the room. Tranquil, not at all. September 8, 2014

Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointed with 80s Era Condo From the reservations process (which was so hurried I chose the wrong departure date and had to call back and change it - and then was not extended the extra day but rather given ANOTHER reservation - which caused our keys to be deactivated the last day, and other problems at check in) to the stay in this really dated condo, I was disappointed for the money. This was an over $500+ per night stay - and we were given a different condo than requested (I requested 2 rooms - one king and two queens) and we were given room 710 - facing the mountain (very nice view but no deck to enjoy it from) and it had three bedrooms with one of them being in a sort of attic. The decor was extremely dated. The DVD didn't work (so we were forced to purchase $16+ movies), lightbulbs in the fridge and throughout the condo were burned out, the microwave start button is so old you have to massage it to get it to go. The television is mounted so high you get neck strain from trying to watch. At checkin we weren't told that everything that would normally be in a book in the room was on the television - so we had to keep asking questions and finally one nice person told us to look on the television for all that information (which was actually incorrect - saying check out was 10am and it was really 11AM) - etc. Anyway - all in all it is a nice location on the mountain but the condo itself needs massive upgrade in functionality and decor. Rated 4 out of 5 by Mixed Feelings The room they first gave us was occupied. Thank goodness the bell hop opened the door, not us. They fixed it to a different room, which was fine. Appreciated the refrigerator. Found the parking to be very hard since we have a Toyota Sienna minivan. Your spaces were not designed for large vehicles August 12, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hotel -BUT! The Resort, Service or Staff could not be better. Buyer be ware. This is a Pet Friendly Resort. I did not take this as a warning. They need to decide if they are running a hotel or a Kennel. I don't need my crotch smelled or hand licked in the elevator. I dont want to wonder if a dog slept in my bed the night before. I resent having to move over in the hall for a dog as we pass each other. I dont like my car tires watered by other guest cute pets. It is a good showcase for the "haves" to flaunt their pets and put on display the better life they are able to provide than a lot of working American families can provide for Americas young children. Rated 4 out of 5 by Light on Staffing But Great Stay We stayed at the Sheraton - Steamboat for 2 nights. My comments are as follows: Cons: - No fan in hotel room bathroom...thought this was mandatory/code. - Bed was fabulous (pillows, bedding, etc.) BUT I awoke with a back ache both mornings. Mattress? - No valet to greet us at arrival; confusing. Car in front of us was parked at front door so we pulled in behind it. My husband checked us in. I sat there for 10 minutes waiting for someone to assist with luggage. My husband came out and still no valet. He had to go back into the hotel to find one. - First night dinner on patio at Saddles at 5:30 started out great. Very nice server; good food. Started getting busy; she didn't offer dessert menu so we asked. We waited to get menu. We waited for her to rtn to take our dessert order. We then waited 45 minutes for dessert. It never came so we had to track down the restaurant manager and asked him to adjust our bill. He comped our meal and apologized which was very much appreciated and said he was sorry he hadn't staffed appropriately. It wasn't the server's fault; she was slammed. The delay affected our evening schedule. 2 hrs for dinner is unreasonable when it involves a salad and a cheeseburger plus dessert. - Upon approaching restaurant for breakfast both mornings there was a sign saying, "Please Wait to Be Seated". Both mornings nobody was there. The 1st time I ventured into the restaurant to find someone. The 2nd time we just went right in and sat down. It wasn't very busy; really no excuse. - Upon checkout, I wanted to view the bill and there was one couple in line ahead of me checking in and one associate at the front desk. I waited about 10 minutes for someone else to come out to help. This occurred because the AWESOME valet guy (I wish I got his name as he was very nice) saw me waiting and asked me what I needed and went in back to get another associate to assist me. (a manager) PROS: Awesome reservation agent who got us a nice room and a good deal. Thankyou. Nice hotel. Clean, comfortable and very friendly staff. For it being almost "full" we didn't have any noise problems which was a pleasant surprise. We also liked the location close to the mountain and all the activities. Watching the mountain bikers was fun. SUMMARY: Appropriate staffing was an issue throughout our stay; otherwise very pleasant experience. August 4, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Classic bait and switch When getting my reservation I was quoted one price with no ability to cancel my reservation as it was for the same day. As I was driving I asked them to email me my confirmation number, I was quoted 179.00 or for a mountain view 199.00 plus a 20.00 resort charge I asked for the room with the view. Upon arrival I looked at my confirmation to look up the address, as I was told their were two Sheraton's in Steamboat, I saw that my room rate was now 289.00. When I asked the front desk about it they told me it was booked through the resort system or something to that affect, and their hands were tied, they suggested I call them direct next time when I asked them what the "direct number" was they gave it to me and I said as I showed them my phone log you mean this same one, They had no response or explanation as why it was diverted from them when trying to get the reservation. As for the room the fan didn't work, dirty glasses were out on the balcony, we couldn't even be sure if the towels, or linen were clean. It was bad enough that I didn't bother to talk to what ever manager was on duty, I'm contacting corporate. August 4, 2014
