Rated 2 out of 5 by Room was Dirty The bathroom area was full of hair and what appeared to be potato chip crumbs and obviously was not vacuumed at all. Refrigerator would not cool down. Rooms need to be updated, especially the bathrooms that were showing a lot of wear and tear and water damage. Had not stayed at the Dolphin in years, but not very satisfied at all. July 17, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not a great conference venue The hotel itself was okay. The conference catering was dry and tasteless and the meeting rooms mediocre. Some rooms were freezing and others were controlled correctly. The sleeping rooms were nice and had quality bedding and features but the hotel staff paid no attention to my requests to be near an elevator. Because of a big problem with rooms and a broken air conditioner I was afraid to ask to be moved but my ability to enjoy the conference was hampered by the quarter mile I was forced to walk before even reaching the conference center. The restaurants were nice and the food good but a little too pricey. This was an ok hotel and conference experience. July 8, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Updates The hotel is in dire need of cosmetic updates--internal and externally. The rooms are very dated for a Starwood property and for the price of a suite, guests expect a certain standard of decor and facility updates. Bathrooms were barely functional in the suite because of their size (getting in and out of the door was nearly impossible because of it's positioning) and the bathroom fixtures/counters were horribly dated. Hope to hear about updates to the rooms soon. July 15, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Needs imrovement, but great location We have stayed at the Dolphin in the past because of the rate offered (I am an educator), and the location. This trip we stayed strictly because of the location for my husbands medical needs. We were not impressed by the hotel look as it is very dated and needs to be redone. The worst part of our stay however, was that one day we returned to our hotel for a break after being gone for nine hours, and found no one had cleaned and stocked our room! July 15, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Training When hotel employees at a Disney property walk by you without eye contact, or a smile, then training somewhere has failed. I was floored by the inattentiveness. I've never taken the family to a Disney property hotel, but I would think that the experience would be all-encompassing. This was a business trip. July 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great amenities We had a short stay and enjoyed ourselves and the great amenities the Dolphin has to offer. I would recommend that you have more than 3 people working the desk. Our room was perfect although we didn't spend much time in it until later in the evening when we found the television would not work. After jiggling the wires on the back of the set, it did eventually turn on and took a little while to get good reception. After that, it was fine though. July 14, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by very poor maid service Had to call or visit front desk 4 times during a one week stay. The maid service was very poor. Two days NO washcloths. One day NO hand towels. Two days NO water or coffee. I have stayed at the Dolphin before and I have never had such poor service. July 15, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by DOLPHIN HOTEL Although my room and view were very nice, the location of my room was very noisy. My TV would not turn on when I arrived and the technican had still not arrived after 45 mins to an hour. I was finally able to turn it on and it was probably due to weather. July 14, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst SPG property in the United States I'm Platinum with SPG, at 10:30 am we were told it would take a few minutes for our (2) rooms to be ready, it took 4 hours for the first room and about 6 for the second. Staff was rude. One of our rooms smelled moldy, issue was reported and we were told it's common and nothing was done to fix the problem. Room service trays littered the halls for days without being cleaned up. pool area was frequently closed to guests for private parties. Food in the restaurants was of poor quality and at top dollar. If this had been my first SPG property I would never stay at another one. As it is, I may cancel all my SPG reservations at other hotels for the rest of the year due to this extremely poor service. There is no excuse to treat guests the way we were treated, especially someone who has close to 50 stays this year with SPG! November 16, 2011

Rated 3 out of 5 by Needs to be cleaner! I am SPG Platinum and I will tell you this property, while big and busy, just is not clean. Every night the hall ways, lobby, bar area was full of trash, dirty tables and just un clean. I would watch housekeeper after housekeeper just walk over trash without picking it up. Also, as Delta Platinum Medallion, you are to receive SPG Platinum status. So why do they charge me for internet and water when that comes complimentary as a Platinum guest anyhow? This property is in a great location but it is in desperate need of some TLC and staff retraining. July 8, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by This hotel is beautiful. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The only reason I would not recommend this hotel is because of the rest of the hotel. The hallways were always dirty as well as restrooms in other areas of hotel. The food situation was the worst however. There are not enough restaurants to accommodate that many guests. . The menu items were odd and limited. I had difficulty feeding my family at each place. Since we like to eat and were there for so long the food situation really had a negative impact on our stay. July 8, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful hotel the hotel was beautiful and pool areas and babysitting wonderful. We would have preferred queen beds instead of full beds in the rooms All restaurants were very prohibitively expensive, we have gotten better quality for much less elsewhere. We went to 5 different bars/restaurants there, and felt the food while good, did not justify the cost. For the volume they do, there is no reason to charge so much for average food and drinks. Rated 3 out of 5 by Don't miss Don Shula The Don Shula Restaurant is outstanding. An experience you won't want to miss. Excellent waite staff. Lobster and steak world class. You can pass on BlooZoo by Todd English. Salty small portioned fish. Both restaurants have particularly good fresh baked bread not often found in today's restaurants. Rated 5 out of 5 by Fabulous 4th Love the Dolphin and the Swan! Stayed for the 4th of July weekend at the Dolphin and really enjoyed our time there. It is close to ESPN on the boardwalk where we watched the World Cup. Plus close to EPCOT where we watched the fireworks show. Location - Location - Location! July 11, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Too Dated I have been visiting this hotel for the past 15 years and I cant say that it looks any different than it does right now. It seems some upgrades would have been made. The rooms seem very dated. I had a HUGE PROBLEM with the handicap spaces available. The hotel has all premium spots saved for valet. Now handicap visitors have a long walk to the front of the hotel. Valet should have taken the spots further from the door out of respect for those with physical challenges. Restaurants are a bit overpriced too. July 8, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Terrible week This was my 1st & it was my last stay @ this property! I was promised an upgrade upon check-in which I never received. I was charged $25.00 per nite for a COT! I have traveled the world & stayed in the best hotels & was never charged for a COT! By the way the Cot took them over an hour to get up to my room after 4 phone calls it finally arrived! Ridiculous waste of money staying there. Needs to be updated, old and ugly room and bathroom! July 9, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not what one would think being at "Disney" I attended a conference June 28 th - July 3rd. #1 The room was dirty. Not just some fluff here and there. Floor in bathroom was very nasty. Countertops were not wiped down. I took a wash rag and went over the counter tops as soon as we got there and it was outrageous. #2 There were 2 fire alarms. BOTH TIMES there were NO employees in our area to direct us as to where to exit nor when to return. We received a letter under door explaining that employees were dispatched to guest areas and direct guests etc. No, that did not happen. The second fire drill we left the building and when the lights stopped flashing we returned to our room on our own NOT KNOWING what in the world was going on. #3 Picabu buffet/café has some chefs that need help with customer service. We asked simple questions that were not detailed on the their hard to follow chalk board menu. OUCH did we get some looks and tone. Food was actually pretty good. #4 We chose to go green. We understood that for however many days we refused housekeeping we would receive 500 points per day (or $5 voucher). It's not clear if those points ever made it to my account. I have had to contact SPG to see if they are on there and if they are correct. We only received bottle water 2 times the whole time we were there. (Hanging on the door was a nice touch) I would not return to DSD. While the front staff was kind and helpful the hotel needs some serious help with housekeeping issues and food service. July 12, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by need to remodel Had a room with leaking air conditioner that made rug wet and room smell. Our clothes then smelled and could not control air temp. too cold and windows steamed up every night and stayed that way till noon. We got room changed Monday 7-7-14 and that was better smelling and air was better but still needs updates to rooms. July 10, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Way over priced food is good but very expensive (daiquiri $13.50 by the pool, bagels $3.65 each and they don't toast them) room is nice but certainly not worth 235.13/night. Check your billing statement, looked it up when I got back to Canada and was charged parking of 17.04/day didn't even have a car. Called accounting and they fixed the parking issue but couldn't tell me where an additional 25.00 charge came from? July 8, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Summer Stay We have stayed here several times in the past. While this hotel could use some updates, it is in a great location, has great staff, wonderful pools (have to get seats early), and comfortable beds. We usually stay here 1-2 times a year. We were in a superb spot to watch 4 of July Fireworks at Disney, Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Also, had wonderful assistance at the pool from Christian and Nick who helped our son retrieve balls that got stuck up on the waterfall. Those guys saved the day! July 6, 2014
