Rated 4 out of 5 by Raulp Good overall but a couple of issues
Very nice luxury hotel. A bit over priced for hotels of this level however price is set by the neighborhood or environment and it matched the others nearby. Staff was good, good lobby and restaurants, etc. Issue #1 is the bed which was too soft and badly sinking towards the center. Well below standards of most $100 nights today. Issue #2 is the A/C unit very noisy and right next to the bed. I would recommend this hotel to others only assuming my room 11-134 is a fluke and not all rooms are like this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BlairB Friendly Staff but Bathroom was lacking
All of the staff i met on my stay were friendly and had a smile on. However the bathroom in my room was not very nice. Mildew on the very old floor and mildew under the soap holder in the tub. The bathroom could really use an update. I did find the rest of the room comfortable and I enjoyed my view. I would also like to mention that i had trouble finding my hotel room. It was very far away and the make matters worse the room number had fallen to the floor and i had to pick it up and stick it back on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by smcgaughey Love the Dolphin!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Dolphin! We have stayed here numerous times over the past 3 years and have enjoyed it every time!
The rooms are always kept very clean and the staff does a great job at meeting all of your needs.
The other restaurants that the hotel offers are excellent.
The pool area makes you feel like your on a cruise with all of the variety of pools, activities, eating, etc.
This last trip we traveled with two other parties and the staff met all of our needs every time, including following through on our request to have our rooms all together.
I would highly recommend this hotel to families, couples, groups traveling together, anyone who wants to enjoy DisneyWorld but not at a themed hotel. This place offers you the resort-feel withouth the high resort prices!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Blott Perfect Except for the BlueZoo
Had my usual perfect stay except for the BluezZoo restaurant. We went there for our anniversary and after 1 1/2 hours our food finally arrived - barely room temperature. I had little choice but to walk out at this time. The management were not very apologetic and it wasn't until I was leaving did they offer any kind of compensation - a coupon to come back. Really!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jenn7215 Amazing customer service
My husband and I came to the Dolphin to celebrate our anniversary. Upon arrival we asked if there were any king size bed rooms available. The woman that checked us in upgraded our room for us since we were celebrating. After arriving back in our room after being at Disney for the day, we found that six chocolate covered strawberries had been delivered with a bottle of champagne with a note from the front desk staff. It was a wonderful surprise. We will absolutely be returning to stay at the Dolphin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JackieF Great Hotel! Who needs the parks!
This is a great family hotel! It had all the comforts of home (but at a price). We enjoyed the hotel and the staff almost as much as the parks we visited! The only negative comment that I could add about this hotel is that the valet cashiers were less than friendly upon checkout. We did have to wait a little while for the lady to find our keys that were hanging on the hook behind her! All the staff, including the valets were extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again and again!

Rated 3 out of 5 by OrchidLady Disappointed guest
I was very disappointed in the room. Just OK. I left a note for housekeeping after my first night, and nothing was done. Few days later my room was not done at 7pm. When I called they asked if I used the do not disturb and I said yes, they said that's why. I said it was two hours in the morning while getting ready. When I mentioned my note I left after my first night her answer was our housekeeping staff is mostly Spanish speaking and can't read English. The bed IS NOT what they say in my opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Stumpycowen A hidden treaure at Disney World
The Dolphin and Swan complex is truly a hidden treasure at Disney World. There is so much offered here including fabulous restaurants, fantastic pools and easy access to Dsiney Parks. The Fountain Restaurant is my favorite! Have the Reuben or Buffalo Chicken Salad. And of course have a shake too! Il Mulino in the Swan is great food. Love it! For the steak lover, you have to go to Shula's. And for the Celebrity Chef on property go to Blue Zoo, Todd English's restaurant. For breakfast, go to Fresh!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cajungirl Hotel is great
The hotel has all of the amenities you need. The only problem we had was on our first day at the park our room was not cleaned that day. The concierge gave us a credit for Picabau Restaurant and the staff left us extra towels, coffee and water once they cleaned the room. That was the only glitch in the trip. We would gladly stay there again, it was very convenient to be able to walk to Epcot to get to where we want to go. Also I got very sunburnt and the spa helped me with products to relieve

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tim1609 Could easily be a category 5 or 6
If you are going to Disney this is the hotel to stay in. It's by far the best value of the entire disney luxury and mid-class resort style hotels.
I admit that I've only stayed in a family suite and executive suite here this year but both were excellen and I've stayed in traditional rooms last year on business and loved them as well. The size of these rooms is ideal for families and the rooms are clean, large, up to date, and have some nice extras like a sitting/dressing room with sink, refridgerator, kitchen sink, suge living room and all thein room amenities you expect from a sheraton.
The staff are remarkable. Valets enjoy their job and are courteous. Bellhops are attentive and respectful. Front desk folks were great in recognizing an SPG platinum 75 guest and ensuring we had ample attention. We even checked in during a power outage and they had glowsticks, bottles of cold water, sodas, and snacks to greet us since we had to walk the stairs to get to our room. Very well prepared for the unexpected. The dining choices are excellent with bluezoo, and shulas on premise. The mickey mouse pancakes were also great and the staff in the restaurants realize where they work and are extra attentive., The location is also great since you can take the disney boats to epcot, boardwalk, hollywood studios. The busses to the parks are also a great option and the short walk option to the boardwalk and epcot are also a nice way to get around. The pools are great. Adult style pool, kids zero entry pool, and a large centerpiece pool with waterfall and slide. The bars around the pool are also great. Lastly, the beach around the lake makes it a nice place to sunbathe on a hot day and the boat rentals are a nice touch as well.
Overall, if you are going to Disney, this is the hotel to stay at if you want a great experience.

Rated 3 out of 5 by forgreedssake2013 extra resort fee/ isolation
did not appreciate extra resort fee added to my room cost..seemed very petty, and the 5$ for a bottle of water and no choice about this, outrageous.... and the virtual isolation of the resort plus high costs for food made me feel like a hostage for a week which won't happen again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ronu2 Average Hotel,
We thought the hotel was in good shape and the service was average. The man in the coffee shop in the morning was rude. The latte's were terrible, the pastries were twice the cost of the ones in the theme parks. The pool area was messy. There were people smoking outside of every entrance. Il Mulino was a fantastic restaurant and our meal and wine were delicious. There should be more food options at better prices. My trip advisor review will explicitly inform guests to eat at the theme parks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tricia Adjoining rooms promised
Adjoining rooms were promised to my friend who already was currently in a room front desk called her and told her that we could have adjoining rooms but she would have to move rooms . She and her family moved rooms so our families could have adjoining rooms . When we showed up our room was not ready yet so we waited for our room because we thought we were going to have adjoining rooms . When we returned to hotel after a long day at Epcot we the. Learned after our friend changed rooms and after we waited all day for our room that we did not have adjoining rooms !!!!!!!! Terrible customer service and they should have let us known earlier and the whole changing of rooms and us waiting for our room was all not necessary because we did not end up getting adjoins rooms as promised !!!! Not happy !!

I had a great time at this resort. Housekeeping was the best and there are shuttles constantly running to all Disney World Attractions. Not to mention the weather was perfect. The internet access in my room was horrible.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Erin24 A not so magical experience
The bathroom was dingy and had a moldy smell, even right after being cleaned. The rooms were not cleaned until late the next evening-- I understand it is a large hotel, but it's very disruptive to be getting ready to go to dinner and have the cleaning staff show up. We were always told that they would come back in an hour, but when we returned later that night, our room was still not cleaned. After talking to the front desk, the room was cleaned and they did a great job following up to make sure that it was in fact clean.
We had a large group, so decided to stay close and make reservations at the restaurant/bar by the pool. When we asked how late they were open, they replied "10pm, but will stay open if it is busy". We made reservations for 7:30pm and when we all arrived, we were told we needed to hurry, because the kitchen actually closes at 8pm. I'm not sure if there is mis-communication between the hotel and their pool area, but we hurried and placed our order within 5 minutes of arriving. When we received our food 50 minutes later, most of it was cold and several meals were forgotten. One meal was incorrect and when we informed the waiter he said he couldn't do anything about it because the kitchen was closed. They then had to re-open to finish preparing the forgotten meals, but no mention on correcting the order.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Dee17 Disapointed
The hotel staff was very eager to rush you out of their way. My room key gave problems, the hall smelt of an awful stink, 3 of the light bulbs in my room were burnt, the hinge nails on the inside of the door fell out and when I went to the front desk to ask about these things, they said they would send maintence which only came once to fix the door. My daughter & I traveled alone (she is young) & when the taxi dropped us off not one bell hop came, we rolled our own luggage through the crowd.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Conference22 Convenient but...
The convenience of the hotel to Epcot, the Boardwalk, and Hollywood Studios is awesome - especially if traveling with young children, BUT the hotels are clearly older and need some TLC to meet my expectations.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mark Good, but lousy Internet access
Overall my stay was fine. I was at a large conference so the hotel was really crowded, but that is expected. The only drawback I had was the inability to get Internet access or it was so slow to be useless. This is with paying an extra $10 resort fee to get access. I tried late at night, early morning with no luck. I complained on twitter one late night and got quick tweet back from Starwood. They said they'd have the hotel contact me -I'm Starwood preferred - but never heard from anybody.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BrianC Epcot View Rooms Are Great
The hotel wasn't fully committed this time, so we finally got an upgrade as gold members to an Epcot view room (we were offered even a premium suite, but didn't like it because it was a view of the roof). The front desk service by Trip was terrific. The room was clean and comfortable. The biggest drawback was that the balcony was filthy. The chairs and deck were extremely dirty and there were spiders and webs everywhere. It was unusable. No one has cleaned that balcony in a very long time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by rija Staff support
The staff was friendly and helpful, except when we went to Guest Services to get more information about the Seasonal Disney pass. We wanted to upgrade our pass and the person at the desk was not very courteous and told us we need to upgrade the pass today and that she couldn't do it. We found out after we left that we actually have 14 days to upgrade and that the concierge could have done this for us.

Rated 3 out of 5 by jcn1070 charges
I was charged for smoking in my room, we did not smoke in the room and I questioned the charge. I asked to see a manager and no one came to the front desk, said they were all busy. I asked for the managers name and phone number and the staff person left the front desk for 15 minutes then came back and was rude and seemed to not want to give me the managers number. I told them I had to catch a flight and the manager never came. I refuse to pay this and will contact my credit card company.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Biznleezurttraveler The good and bad
Good: clean rooms, customer service, dynamite restaurants, great accessibility to theme parks. Overall a very good place to stay and I would recommend to others.
Bad: bathrooms are clean and adequate but need upgrading, room descriptions not accurate (i.e. "room views of Epcot" means room faces Epcot, not necessarily with a view of Epcot, wireless internet absolutely terrible-hotel should be embarrassed to offer that poor of quality WiFi while bragging to be a business convention center.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Busn001 Very Disappointed
Hotel was very much less than expected. Staff was uninformed about business conference, and could not provide directions to conference rooms in the hotel or locations of restaurants on site. My bill was originally correct, then somehow I was charged for one day twice and took 30 minutes to resolve the issue. Was expecting a 'cast' much like the Disney brand, and received less than adequate service. Room was dirty upon entering, and had sheets with blood stains. Will NEVER stay here again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tullyfish A Wonderful Experience
My first impression of the Swan and Dolphin was a great one. I had an issue with my reservation, and while I wasn't getting anywhere with the reps at Starwood, they suggested I contact the Swan & Dolphin directly for assistance. The reps I spoke with at Swan & Dolphin were very kind and courteous, and they were able to sort out the issue with no trouble. I should have just called them first!
I was already looking forward to the trip, but having read some of the reviews I began to get nervous. I should not have worried. The Dolphin was a great place to stay! It's very conveniently located in the Epcot resort area (can walk or take a boat to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios). The rooms were comfy, and service was great! We received a complimentary upgrade to resort view with balcony due to our anniversary, and they even delivered champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to our room! We definitely felt well taken care of at the Dolphin!

Rated 4 out of 5 by PaulM1234 Excellent accomodations for a conference
I have been coming down for years. This is an excellent location for a conference. It has everything you need in one place and is close enough to everything in Disney so that you can make use of the Disney facilities (for family that comes with you).
Rooms are clean and well furnished although the furniture is getting on the older side. Fitness room was fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ernie57 room comfort / billing
The room was fine. It was the bed that was too soft.
My stay was fine until it came to billing. My account was almost overdrawn if I did not catch the fact the Hotel had put a hold on my account even after I had paid the bill. After I got that straight, a day later I again saw an additional amount being taken from my account. I had been charged for the room twice for one night. I called and got that straight. So far it has been 2 days and the refund has not been put back into my account.

Rated 2 out of 5 by ssloss Room was worn out and filthy
The room was very worn out, and very dirty. There were chunks of something on the bathroom floor and door (I'd be willing to bet it was some sort of body excretion). The tile around the bathroom and in the bathroom was filthy, it looked like it had build up of staining from years of improper cleaning. The grout was filthy. There was hair in my bed. The a/c was inconsistent, it either didn't work at all, or made the room freezing. This was my first, and likely last stay at this property.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jo23 This hotel needs to change policy and more staff
This is a beautiful hotel that needs up keep. Also, they do a ridiculous practice if trying to charge u for room charges before you have any room charges. We paid for the room in cash and then the hotel Used the credit card on file to charge me 250 for " incidentals" . we had to wait so long to get into our room the first day. The first day of my trip was ruined by these annoying occurrences that a hotel should not do. On another day The keys to my room shut off for no apparent reason. I couldnt get jnto my room and i have two small children. we missed our dinner reservation because of the hold up. Oh and the safe was broken. And finally they give u a room rate that is not near to actual rate you pay with extra fees. I think it was over 50 more with room fees. This experience was not only mine but for many others.

Rated 1 out of 5 by GregoryB This hotel was state of the art 30 years ago
As I overheard another guest say, "for what we are paying, we could be staying someplace nice". Very small bathroom/dressing area attached to a very small, cramped room. We had to maneuver around building paraphnalia to get to our door .needless to say, we will not be back. The only plus was the fact the room was very clean.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Fun17 Great for Groups
Great accomodations for large groups. Tremendous facilities for performances and banquets. Pool area was beautiful and spacious. The only area I think needs vast improvement are the dining options for breakfast and lunch. Long lines, over crowded, noisy and expensive. It also takes a very long time to simply get a cup of coffee in the morning. The quality of food is average at best. However , there are several lovely upscale choices for dinner which I would highly recommend.
