Rated 4 out of 5 by Fun17 Great for Groups
Great accomodations for large groups. Tremendous facilities for performances and banquets. Pool area was beautiful and spacious. The only area I think needs vast improvement are the dining options for breakfast and lunch. Long lines, over crowded, noisy and expensive. It also takes a very long time to simply get a cup of coffee in the morning. The quality of food is average at best. However , there are several lovely upscale choices for dinner which I would highly recommend.

The staff was friendly and helpful, except when we went to Guest Services to get more information about the Seasonal Disney pass. We wanted to upgrade our pass and the person at the desk was not very courteous and told us we need to upgrade the pass today and that she couldn't do it. We found out after we left that we actually have 14 days to upgrade and that the concierge could have done this for us.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Steven1508 more like a hostel
We expected the Hotel as a Family Hotel and finally 6.000 workshop member entered the Hotel and switched it to a hostel. Pool sessions until 01:30 am, loud and screamy people where ever in the hotel and two nights on our floor. If I'm thinking about the price we've paid and the quality level we finally got - it's a shame!
The first morning all forks, knives and spoons where dirty and the table seems to be cleaned a few weeks ago, the same the day after.
On the second day someone missed the restrooms at the pool area and "uploaded" his excrement directly on the way to the restrooms. A few stuff member walked by, nothing happened and no one celeaned up.
If you are SPG member do not expect special benefits. Nothing - no upgrade - "sorry totally booked", no late check out - "sorry totally booked", nothing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PaulM1234 Excellent accomodations for a conference
I have been coming down for years. This is an excellent location for a conference. It has everything you need in one place and is close enough to everything in Disney so that you can make use of the Disney facilities (for family that comes with you).
Rooms are clean and well furnished although the furniture is getting on the older side. Fitness room was fine.

I had a great time at this resort. Housekeeping was the best and there are shuttles constantly running to all Disney World Attractions. Not to mention the weather was perfect. The internet access in my room was horrible.

My first impression of the Swan and Dolphin was a great one. I had an issue with my reservation, and while I wasn't getting anywhere with the reps at Starwood, they suggested I contact the Swan & Dolphin directly for assistance. The reps I spoke with at Swan & Dolphin were very kind and courteous, and they were able to sort out the issue with no trouble. I should have just called them first!
I was already looking forward to the trip, but having read some of the reviews I began to get nervous. I should not have worried. The Dolphin was a great place to stay! It's very conveniently located in the Epcot resort area (can walk or take a boat to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios). The rooms were comfy, and service was great! We received a complimentary upgrade to resort view with balcony due to our anniversary, and they even delivered champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to our room! We definitely felt well taken care of at the Dolphin!

I actually would have expected more from a Disney property. After the first night our room did not receive service until approximately 4:00pm, The room I was in you could hear the showers and toilet flushes from rooms above very distinctly and they were quite loud. As a Starwood Platinum member and asking for a late checkout it was not granted, and that goes against their whole "my way" mentality. I was only moderately disappointed and certain things were below my expectations.

Rated 1 out of 5 by PhilL63 Staff doesn't care
Neither does management
Location works. Rooms are old. Air didn't work in first room. Second room was put opposite service elevator. After hearing ding ding all night went to front desk and asked if we were near an elevator. Swore we were not. Third day two out of three elevators were out at a full property and we were offered a ride in the service elevator opposite our room. Manager did not care. Other issues as well. Hot tubs did not work the whole week. Very sad :(

Upon checking in at 6 pm, my room was a mess! It wasn't even cleaned yet. Staff at front desk changed my room, but really?? 6 pm and rooms are NOT ready?? Also of note and disgust -- please note that their are separate charges for parking ($15 per day) and internet/water/room package ($15 per day) that adds approx. $30 to the cost of your stay PER DAY! Outside of proximity to Epcot and the Studios, you would be better off staying at a Disney moderate resort. I will NOT be back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Nannie This hotel needs their rooms to be cleaner
The bathtub was running slow, so I pulled out the stopper and old bandaids were stuck in the drain, none of us had bandaids during our 5 day stay. The vacuuming was never done, sheets never changed even though we requested it. The bare, bare minimum was done each day to clean our room. Food was okay in the restaurants however, service was at a snails pace. Waited way beyond 3:30pm for our room, even though we arrived at noon. Desk people and bellmen were excellent! Pool dirty.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Sjones42 Disney dolphin disappointment
We were so excited to stay at a Disney property and were completely disappointed! The elevators had an awful odor, the room air conditioning didn't work. The rooms aren't updated at all, it was basically an overpriced motel 6... I would have expected so much more for 10,000 Pts per night!!! Eventually the A/C did get fixed and the hotel itself gave us a 50$ credit to be used in the hotel only, but it really didn't compensate for the disappointment! Will not stay there again :(

The hotel was lovely at the holidays! We enjoyed the piano entertainment in the lobby in the evenings. The weather was cold and we wished one of the hotel bars had been open during the afternoon, when we were looking for a cocktail. We were told that the pool bar was the only one open - but it was very cold outside. We thoroughly enjoyed appetizers & cocktails at the Blue Zoo in the evening. Amazing Crab Nachos and wonderful bartender - Mike! Looking forward to our next trip!

The convenience of the hotel to Epcot, the Boardwalk, and Hollywood Studios is awesome - especially if traveling with young children, BUT the hotels are clearly older and need some TLC to meet my expectations.

As I overheard another guest say, "for what we are paying, we could be staying someplace nice". Very small bathroom/dressing area attached to a very small, cramped room. We had to maneuver around building paraphnalia to get to our door .needless to say, we will not be back. The only plus was the fact the room was very clean.

If you are going to Disney this is the hotel to stay in. It's by far the best value of the entire disney luxury and mid-class resort style hotels.
I admit that I've only stayed in a family suite and executive suite here this year but both were excellen and I've stayed in traditional rooms last year on business and loved them as well. The size of these rooms is ideal for families and the rooms are clean, large, up to date, and have some nice extras like a sitting/dressing room with sink, refridgerator, kitchen sink, suge living room and all thein room amenities you expect from a sheraton.
The staff are remarkable. Valets enjoy their job and are courteous. Bellhops are attentive and respectful. Front desk folks were great in recognizing an SPG platinum 75 guest and ensuring we had ample attention. We even checked in during a power outage and they had glowsticks, bottles of cold water, sodas, and snacks to greet us since we had to walk the stairs to get to our room. Very well prepared for the unexpected. The dining choices are excellent with bluezoo, and shulas on premise. The mickey mouse pancakes were also great and the staff in the restaurants realize where they work and are extra attentive., The location is also great since you can take the disney boats to epcot, boardwalk, hollywood studios. The busses to the parks are also a great option and the short walk option to the boardwalk and epcot are also a nice way to get around. The pools are great. Adult style pool, kids zero entry pool, and a large centerpiece pool with waterfall and slide. The bars around the pool are also great. Lastly, the beach around the lake makes it a nice place to sunbathe on a hot day and the boat rentals are a nice touch as well.
Overall, if you are going to Disney, this is the hotel to stay at if you want a great experience.

The resort is gorgeous and the staff is so friendly and helpful. The staff took "customer service" to a whole new level !! My room , the resort and the grounds were always immaculate. I was there on business for 10 days and nights and felt like I was at home ! Would not think of staying anywhere else. I will be coming back with my children in the Fall 2013 and cannot wait for them to experience all the resort has to offer ! Thank you to everyone at the Swan and Dolphin.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Erin24 A not so magical experience
The bathroom was dingy and had a moldy smell, even right after being cleaned. The rooms were not cleaned until late the next evening-- I understand it is a large hotel, but it's very disruptive to be getting ready to go to dinner and have the cleaning staff show up. We were always told that they would come back in an hour, but when we returned later that night, our room was still not cleaned. After talking to the front desk, the room was cleaned and they did a great job following up to make sure that it was in fact clean.
We had a large group, so decided to stay close and make reservations at the restaurant/bar by the pool. When we asked how late they were open, they replied "10pm, but will stay open if it is busy". We made reservations for 7:30pm and when we all arrived, we were told we needed to hurry, because the kitchen actually closes at 8pm. I'm not sure if there is mis-communication between the hotel and their pool area, but we hurried and placed our order within 5 minutes of arriving. When we received our food 50 minutes later, most of it was cold and several meals were forgotten. One meal was incorrect and when we informed the waiter he said he couldn't do anything about it because the kitchen was closed. They then had to re-open to finish preparing the forgotten meals, but no mention on correcting the order.

Rated 4 out of 5 by jrkroll great value
excellent hotel. I took off a star since i thought the lobby was excessively noisy but I guess that fountain makes a lot of noise.
The coffee in the room is good but the coffee in the lobby is very expensive as is the orange juice..but it's a hotel.
For going to Epcot you can't beat this hotel but the ride to the Magic Kingdom is a bit of a pain. I would however stay here again. If you are going to the parks and not spend time at the hotel this is the best place for me.

This is the second time I have stayed in the dolphin/swan resorts and was not disappointed. It's location to the park (Epcot) was very convenient. With a short ferry ride we were there in minutes. Also after a long day of fun at the park, we appreciated the ride back to our hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we were only there for one night so we could not take advantage of all the great amenities the hotel offers.
We will be back again soon.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Keeidea Hidden Charges--Killer
At the Dolphin at check-in, my bill zoomed by $42.00. $15.00 parking charges for two nights and a mandatory charge of $12.00 for two bottles of water, Internet which never worked, and exercise room which we didn't have time to use. When I complained to the toady who checked us in, he mentioned, sotto voce, that this wasn't really a Disney hotel and told me that the charges were carefully explained online. When I told him I hadn't researched the hotel's policy, he told me that I should have read a confirmation e-mail that I never received. When I asked about parking charges, he told me that since the Dolphin isn't "really" a Disney hotel, I would be charged. It was a nice place. Will I stay there again? No way. Be up front with me. Don't slam me with hidden charges and blame Internet disclosure or unreceived e-mail.

Rated 4 out of 5 by sunny30 AWESOME beds!
I booked this hotel as I wanted to be close to Epcot for the Food and Wine festival. While I didnt get to spend much time on the grounds, the lobby is beautiful with comfortable chairs and the staff is very friendly. Beds are awesome and super comfy. The restaurants look like they have great food, but I was there for Food and Wine. Next stay I will have to try out the food. I wouldnt mind coming up for a weekend and just relaxing at this hotel and not go into the parks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Chris Great hotel
With the exception of the coffee maker, lack of face towels, and a few items left by the folks in the room before us, I'd say things were great. The bed and pillows are so comfortable, one reason why we chose this hotel. Maids have you up between 8 & 8:30am to see what you need, which is nice if you are getting up that early. Both days she returned upon my request, she just forgot the face towels. Over all this is a great place to stay and enjoy for a weekend/few days.

We stayed at the Dolphin hotel and had a great view of the Fireworks every night from Epcot. We had a great time keeping the kids busy whether it was relaxing by the pool or hopping on the super convenient ferry boat to go to the parks every day. We had a great experience eating with Pluto and Goofy at the Swan one night as well. We will definitely be back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Lpwhtd Disney Dolphin..Nice Location
The Disney Dolphin resort was a nice hotel. The boardwalk area around the Swan and Dolphin was very nice. My only complaint was, I checked in on a Tuesday night and there were dirty dishes sitting outside my room. 24 hours later, the same dirty dishes were still there. When I called to complain, they were picked up fairly quickly. Just seems like, for the money paid, that would be a given that the staff would do automatically. There were long waits at the restaurants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Angie13 Great location
This is the first time we stayed at the Dolphin. It was a weekend anniversary trip.
We stayed in a lakeview king. It was extremely spacious and comfortable.
The hotel had food options for everyone. We especially enjoyed the cafeteria style breakfast and the pizza from the cabana was phenomenal.
Most of all, we enjoyed the location. It was a short walk to the nightlife on the Boardwalk. We also liked the fact that it was a short boat ride to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

I recently stayed at the Dolphin for a conference. I was somewhat unsure if I picked the right place based on reviews I have read. Upon arrival to my room I saw what others had mentioned in that the room seemed dated and in the need of updating. But overall and I spent six days there and it was kept very clean which to me is important. What people have to understand is that this hotel is used heavily by families and the rooms show it.
Some complained about noise of doors closing..I didn't have any issues with that but can understand that the doors are self-closing very strongly and not caused by people closing them.
I did think the food was over priced even for resort type setting.
The halls were kept clean and room service trays were picked up promptly as I used it a few times and my tray never sat long in hall.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JDMycroft Wonderful Room, Disappointing otherwise
My family stayed at the Dolphin from January 1, 2013 thru January 11, 2013. While the Grand Suite was a wonderful room, the rest of the experience was lacking. The main issue was a large convention of 6,000 college aged students. In addition to night being able to find a seat in the lobby or by the pool, our children were woken up each night by hallway noise. This is unacceptable when paying nearly $500 per night for a room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Rated 2 out of 5 by pnr1006 NOT WHAT I EXPECTED FOR $$ I PAID
My husband and I spent the night at the Dolphin for our anniversary. for the price and the recommendation I was given for the Dolphin, I was not happy with what I got. We paid $300.00 for a room that was not up to what I expected the room to be for that price. We have stayed at numerous Disney Resorts and this one does not have the luxury I was expecting for a Disney Resort. I was expecting more in the rooms. The room seemed bare and cold. It was not comforting. We were also not happy with the valet when we were ready to leave. We went to have breakfast on the boardwalk and then returned to get our car. We had to wait in a line with 5 other people in front of us that had to pay. We had already paid and we ended up catching a valet guy that tried to argue about how many cars and people were at the hotel that day. If I am paying for valet service, I expect to get the service. I would not recommend this hotel to my friends or colleagues.

As an avid DIsney traveler and staying at all of the other Disney properties, I found this hotel to be absolutely perfect! The amenities were the same. We loved the water shuttle that took us to Epcot and Hollywood Studios and across the lake to the Boardwalk, Yatch and Beach hotels. Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The front desk personnel was extremely friendly , helpful and went out of their way to make our stay spectacular!!
