Rated 4 out of 5 by Dolphin May 2014 The overall experience was fun and relaxing. The food and drinks are too expensive and the mattress in our room was a couple of years past replacing. The prices are to be somewhat expected from this location, but they were still high. The mattress in our original room was excellent. After changing rooms for personal reasons, the mattress was found to have a serious low spot and my wife and I had back issues in the mornings. May 12, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Don't miss Don Shula The Don Shula Restaurant is outstanding. An experience you won't want to miss. Excellent waite staff. Lobster and steak world class. You can pass on BlooZoo by Todd English. Salty small portioned fish. Both restaurants have particularly good fresh baked bread not often found in today's restaurants. Rated 3 out of 5 by Somewhat dissapointed Our room was ready when we arrived which was early. The room had a nice view of the Swan. The room was comfortable and equivalent to most hotels of this level. Problem we experienced was the room was not cleaned timely. We came back at 3pm to shower and change, room not clean,no towels etc. It took them till 5 to get room clean after two trips to front desk. We were not happy and nothing was done about this. Rated 5 out of 5 by Access to attractions and transportation ease fantastic for families The ease of getting around the Disney grounds and parks was a plus with the transportation options provided. My family didn't wait any longer than 15-20 minutes for a bus or water taxi. On occasion, we walked the short ten minutes to Epcot and back from the Dolphin Resort. My only recommendation is to provide transportation to and from the Orlando Airport similar to the other Disney Resort offerings. The Resort and grounds were extremely clean. January 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by large, isolated, with some issues a major hotel in the Disney complex, the hotel staff are friendly and helpful with the facility typically well-equiped; the rooms are spacious, yet the thinness of the walls permits sound/noise pollution, especially late at night when hearty laughs can wake the dead. Trying to get attention of the front desk late at night can be difficult, and the distance to anything but Disney takes forever. If you want to never leave Disney, not a bad choice May 4, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nickle and Dime you My husband and I do not plan on staying at the Dolphin Hotel again. We are also telling our friends and relatives about our experience. In addition to the daily room charge, we were charged a resort fee of $17.00 per day and a daily parking charge (self parking) of $15.00 per day. When we ate in one of the hotel restaurants, a sur-charge was put on our bill. We never had this happen to us when we stayed on a Disney Property. This is not right ! June 3, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Poor Service The computers crashed and the hotel had no backup. Therefore, we could not get into our room for over 4 hours and other than an "I'm sorry, nothing was done to make up for that loss of time. Check in is a 3 pm not 7. Room was next to a mechanical room and we heard loud noises all night long because of equipment starting and stopping. Did we get a lesser quality room because we used our Starwood Points? Doesn't say much for that does it? March 30, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Expensive, but Average Experience Visited as a result of a convention. The lines to check in/out were very long - no option for room check out from the room/TV. No key drop box. The kiosk to obtain boarding passes didn't have my airlines (USAir) as an option to select, which meant going to the concierge and getting in another long line. Concierge indicated they forgot to add USAIR when equipment built. There was no sign to indicate this, so user didn't know until after waiting in kiosk line for a long time. Room furniture was average. My room never had hot water - was luke warm - over a four day period. I was a presenter at the convention and the equipment cord was defective and wrapped with tape to maintain the frayed cords. Naturally the PC had trouble getting the necessary power. With some jiggling and manipulation and strategic placement of the cord/pc we got it to work. November 21, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by disappointed i have stayed in the past and wasn't pleased much, but the idea of seeing fireworks on July 4 from our room was enticing enough to stay again. Still disappointed. I called several times before arrival and requested a high floor. Their response was that they were for people who pre-booked...which I had done for more than a week prior. The concierge was not friendly when I asked for information as to where a particular restaurant was in the hotel. I was confused as to how to get to it and she was perturbed that I asked several times for clarification. I had an appt at the Spa and she arrived several minutes late but completed exactly on time! I was then in the dressing room and although a man came to the door and asked if there were any women inside, to which I responded yes, he still came in!!! He didn't even ask if we were dressed! He was checking lockers for something right while I was attempting to dress! Appalling! I won't stay here again. July 7, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Terrible bed is our room! I made reservations for a King room and when I got there to check in they only had rooms with 2 double beds for my husband and I. I was there for business and my colleague was there alone and he got a king room that he didn't need. One of the double beds was so terrible neither one of us could sleep on it - my husband has a bad back so we were very uncomfortable to say the least. Not at all what I would expect from a Disney property. April 8, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Dissatisfied with Housekeeping I used the Go Green service and I was very dissipointed. For the first 2 days of my visit, I hung the sign on the door. My trash was not emptied and I had to call and get the water and coffee in my room. July 31, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Thoroughly Enjoyable I would go to Disney again for the Dolphin and never even go to the parks! The Dolphin was great in every way. We were upgraded for a small cost to a room with a view of water and the fireworks. The staff members were extremely polite, turning off vacuums, trimmers, standing aside, etc when we would walk by. The lobby was opulent, yet comfortable with great people watching areas. The Dolphin was majestic and over the top, without being gaudy. July 29, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Training When hotel employees at a Disney property walk by you without eye contact, or a smile, then training somewhere has failed. I was floored by the inattentiveness. I've never taken the family to a Disney property hotel, but I would think that the experience would be all-encompassing. This was a business trip. July 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dolphin Resort is awesome! The hotel appears just like it does in the website pictures...beautiful. It is very nice and clean. Love the short walk to the boardwalk. The swan and dolphin hotels have wonderful restaurants and pools. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this resort! I was here for a nursing conference but would love to come back with my family. Thanks! June 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Enjoyed our stay! We came and stayed for the Epcot Food & Wine Festival. Our room was clean, the staff was great. We checked in early evening and had no wait. Loved the heavenly bed. We needed a shower seat and it was delivered fast. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back for a much needed vacation! We were able to get free internet as a SPG member. Even though this isn't a Disney hotel, but it is on their property so it's so close, we were very pleased. November 5, 2012

I enjoyed my stay with this hotel very much, the staff although not 100% knowledgeable about all my questions, were very friendly and tried to help. The drawbacks were 1. an extra 20.00 resort fee (with taxes on it), and 2. an extra 15.00 a day parking fee, with taxes), 3. they have not worked out the kinks of the magic bands and additional fast pass stuff, so its a bit of a pain. if they can figure those out it would have been perfect. Rated 2 out of 5 by trining for workers not satistactory rooms were not cleaned. always need to ask for something even the last two nights I asked for orange tew and our room WASNT even cleaned. Garbages over following two days no coffee noe day and no bath toeels. When asked for ther were just put on the counter.Coffee station letf with old coffee in filter and only one cup. Table not wiped down The only person that was always smiling and extreamily went out of his way was james at the consiaure April 2, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by pluses and minuses East wing rooms are very far from the pool - lack of out door seating except at pool. Poolside restaurant is good but overall food is very overpriced - $6 for a coffee and small yogurt. I was there for a conference and found the facilities to be very cold and the conference food was awful. Overall the location is good for Epcot - boat transportation is fun - but if I were just visiting Disney would stay at a different resort. Spa was great! June 18, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointing Experience! I have stayed at the Swan or Dolphin for years. This past visit was sub-par vs previous trips to Disney. From having to basically beg for an upgrade to the room prior to check in, to inferior restaurant and room service food. The concierge was rude and not helpful in ANY way! Valet parking was super slow, and on more the 3 occasions we called, waited 15 minutes, got down stairs and they hadn't even left for the car. Could go on and on. SAD! August 11, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Disney Dolphin Experience I'll be brief, very happy with the experience at the resort. Staff was extremely friendly and informative. We loved the pool and proximity to Disney. My only two pieces of feedback Self parking - last row needs a bit of expansion. Spots are a lot narrower than the rows closer to the building which can cause door dings. Quicker room cleanup. The room cleanup itself was great, but i thought it would be done earlier than it was. thank you October 1, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Perfectly servicable, but My hotel stay was perfectly servicable, but I expected better. *A/C worked *no issues with hot water or the bathroom in general. *Guest services support was good *Helped me with last minute pressing service when I arrived *Got me toothpaste when I realized I forgot it. *Good room service menue for children, Adults may not be as enthusiastic about their choices. *Plan to walk. Layout is a bit of a labryinth things that bugged me. *Couldn't find a decent latte mocha anywhere *Went to the take out desk at the Fountains where I evenutally discovered, coffee. Service was lacksidaisical. *Room service menu was horribly average *Impossible to find a cold bottle of water *TV network selection could have been broader. *Had mixed results with room service food being hot enough. *Asked housekeeping to wait two hours before coming back, she waited an hour. Rated 4 out of 5 by 15 years later, it was better About 15 years ago, I stayed at the Dolphin for free while my friend went to a convention there. I never forgot the trip and decided to pay for a stay there this year. Just a few of the perks: the great location to the parks, no driving anywhere, Starbucks in the room, the pools are amazing, cleanest and best room I've stayed in, firework show every night nearby. There's more, but find out for yourself. I hope to make this an annual trip. August 15, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Tired Feet The room and service were nice, typical of a big hotel. The place is very spread out with many wings and few signs. I had to carry a map, and I found that hard to read. Only 1 place in the entire complex with bottles of soda, and that was very far away. No ice machine I ever found. The food at the Blue Zoo was terrific, well worth the money. Internet access was minimal. June 22, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by need to remodel Had a room with leaking air conditioner that made rug wet and room smell. Our clothes then smelled and could not control air temp. too cold and windows steamed up every night and stayed that way till noon. We got room changed Monday 7-7-14 and that was better smelling and air was better but still needs updates to rooms. July 10, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Under Construction They were doing construction on my floor (or above?) and it was impossible to hear the TV while they were doing work. I was NOT notified of this at check-in, and was later informed that I should have received a letter at check-in. The noise was unbearable. I'm thankful I didn't have a small child with me that needed to nap. Unfortunately, it was impossible to relax in my room and the resort does not have many quiet places to steal away. August 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Magical stay The Dolphin is an elegant resort located within walking distance to The Boardwalk and a short boat ride to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. From my room, I could see the fireworks in the sky from Epcot each night and the boats gliding by as they transported guests. The front desk was very courteous and helpful. My room assignment was AWESOME! The bell service was quick and exceptional. Gus was very friendly and showed me all the amenities. They also sent someone within 5 minutes to help me at check-out time. He was also very pleasant and helpful. The Engineering crew is excellent. They came very quickly to assist with setting the thermostat and fixing a drain. The breakfast buffet at the Garden Grove is delicious and full of choices for everyone's diet. You can make healthy choices or be a little naughty. Overall, this was a magical stay! September 29, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Bugs :( I used to love this hotel, but our last stay was horrible. We stay here almost every time we go to Disney, we are pass holders so that's means often! Mothers day weekend and my daughters birthday was a beautiful, fun- filled day until we returned to the hotel about 11:30 and found a large roach- like bug in our bathroom! It was too late to get a new hotel and my 3 kids were scared and crying. Very disappointed in how this was handled :( May 18, 2012
