Rated 5 out of 5 by Bethany0320 Perfect for a weekend trip to NYC
We spent the night here so I could take my first trip to NYC and it was perfect. The staff was wonderfully welcoming and accommodating and the hotel is conveniently placed right next to the ferry that takes you to 38th street in NYC. The view from our room (10th floor) was amazing - a panoramic view of the city that was perfect. Everyone was very helpful with recommendations and the ability to leave our car for the day after we had checked out was a wonderful bonus. We will definitely be returning to the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor.

Having come up from Virginia last minute for a funeral we didn't expect more than a typical hotel stay. The check in had wrong information for us but the night manager took care of us and put us in a suite to make up for it. Besides a very comfortable room to stretch out in we were treated like family by the staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The atmosphere was genuine from the entire hotel and the restaurant.

This Hotel is located at the edge of the water with a great view of Manhattan. Travel to Manhattan is by a 15 minute ride by bus or ferry - located directly in front of the hotel - amazingly convenient. Excellent neighborhood. The evening Mgr, Wesley and Concierge Jorge, were extremely helpful and provided excellent service. Wish you had continental breakfast and free wi-fi in room for SPG Members.

Perhaps this location is no longer interested in the business traveller. This was my third engagement in the area and I looked forward to returning with excitement as the prior two extended stays with this hotel had been wonderful. Management has changed though and I never felt appreciated as a recurring guest. The renovated rooms are lovely, but with restaurants in walking distance in such short supply, the lack of a microwave or refrigerator was a hardship when I am there week after week. Room service never did get it right for me and no attempt was made to encourage my repeat business.
It is also nice to have a SPG club, but the nightly snacks were sub-par compared with other hotel chains. I did appreciate the free wine Tuesday-Thursday and the attendant was wonderful.
I have another year to go on the Weehawken contract and have moved to another location for the durantion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by fed112 Wonderful view and staff
Wonderful view of NYC and the river. We were there for my wife's job/meeting and had a great time. The staff was super with helping to get info for the ferry/Time Square and what to do. The rooms were 5-star. Also, the ferry and bus service that comes with the ticket available at the hotel are a wonderful additioin. DO NOT STAY IN NYC, stay here and take the ferry to Ground Zero-etc. VERY nice place.

On the New Jersey side, you can park and spend the day in NYC, get the water taxi back to this hotel. Room was huge, had a sitting area, big bathroom and it was very clean along with 2 double beds. Price was a quarter of the city hotels and bigger. The restaraunt in the hotel will deliver and the price was the same as if you were eating there. Will always stay here instead of in the city. Great find.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Viper95 Great View of Manhattan
We had the perfect view and the nicest room. We liked the fact that we could just board a ferry to get where we needed to be. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and the 2 door men were amazing with all their knowledge and giving us a ride back to the hotel. I wish the ferry ran earlier and later but with your helpful staff they made our stay very memorable and we will definately be back.

I have always enjoyed Sheraton properties, but this one exceeded my expectations. Beautiful view in a great location. Easy transportation, helpful front desk staff and great pool hours for the kids. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was fabulous..the waiter was so attentive and our meals were delicious. The walkway at the river was a great place to relax outside. Couldn't have been better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Will214 Not hurricane friendly
We stayed four nights just before hurricane Sandy was forecasted to arrive. Our flight was cancelled and we attempted to extend our stay but we were told it would be $46 more per night since our reservation was made on-line in advance. I think that this is poor customer service under these circumstances. They should have offerred the same rate or a discount in this situation.

Parties of 6 have automatic 20% added to bill. certainly a deterrent to continued service.
I suggest placing I-pod or tablets at the tables. This coul alert staff of guest needs and reduce interaction by 50% yet increase rapidity of detailed service. Have seen this work effectively at other RestuarantS.
food very good and enjoyable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Kevin36 Too many problems - Not worthy of Sheraton
Had 10 minute wait to check-in. Front desk is understaffed. Bathroom smelled like stale urine when I entered. Could not sleep because the climate control (heat) makes loud noises all night, on and off. There was a phone message for me, but no instructions how to respond and clear the message, so red light on phone was flashing all night. Front desk told me to dial 7777, but I ended up calling back the hotel switchboard

What can I say other than perfect. Everything was perfect. The view was magnificent, we got a complimentary breakfast, snacks and drinks throughout the day. The staff was helpful and very friendly, the room very clean and big. I still miss that bed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting ny city at a fair price. Best regards

Rated 4 out of 5 by Joy67 Easy access NY Waterway
The hotel's location is convenient - having access to the NY Waterway to Manhattan. My only gripe about this hotel is the front desk service. After check-in, annoying to discover that we were given keys to an OCCUPIED room! Security is very concerning. When we informed the FD staff, we were given a less than comforting apology. No offer to make our stay better.

This is a great hotel. The bedding is magnificent and the shower was awesome. We come to the city once a year and it's always worth the ferry ride back to Jersey for this hotel. Wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. The staff is always helpful and accommodating!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kinipela Great deal for this hotel
For the price, I thought this Sheraton was a great deal. The rooms had lots of space, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and 2 TVs. Very nice, I enjoyed my stay. Good location too, right next to the ferry to take you over to NYC. Very convenient.

I travel for business on a regular basis and must say that I was extremely satisfied with this hotel. Sheraton club lounge is on the small side but has all the essentials and a great view of the city. Staff was very kind and welcoming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 3shoppers Excellent hotel easy access to ferry to NYC
Hotel was very clean. Did not hear any neighbors in room next to us. Steps away from the ferry if you want to go to NYC, the bus from the ferry was easy to locate and was a quick ride to Macy's at no charge (for the bus), then to return to hotel just flag down a bus that says ferry and it will take you right to the ferry station. The light rail is only a few min walk as is the bus if you prefer to ride it. There are a couple of nice restaurants within walking distance as well. Only a few min drive if you want to go Carlos Bakery in Hoboken. There isn't a fridge or microwave in the room which would have been useful to have ,as we stayed 2 nights.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Duggle Nice hotel, but a little lacking
I was very pleased with the location of this hotel and the view, but I was let down by my treatment as an SPG Platinum member. I was "upgraded" from a King room to a Double room without my consent.

We've stayed here four times and we love the 10 minute ferry ride to Manhattan. The staff is helpful and makes our stay very pleasant.
Also, it's a much quieter stay than in Manhattan hotels.

Rated 2 out of 5 by CalBears06 Just stay in Manhatten instead
Here are my observations after staying at this hotel for about 12 nights over 4 separate stays-
Check-in: It's always a disaster especially around 6-7pm. Only two to three people would work the desk and usually they are stuck in long conversations with tourists asking about every nuance of getting into NYC and learning about the local area. They never staff the SPG gold/platinum desk. So expect to wait 15+ min to check in at peak time. No recognition of SPG, no mention of SPG amenities or lounge. Makes me wonder if they even have a lounge?
Rooms: Actually very spacious rooms with a seating area. A/C are old school units attached to wall and can get really loud if you're a light sleeper. Ran into two issues with the bathroom - one smelled like wet towels all day, the other the water pressure on shower head was terrible. Beds are comfy, but they still use the two flat sheets to wrap the duvet that's probably never washed.
Hotel Amenities: I never used the gym so can't comment on it, but I did try to order room service and they told me it'll take one to one-half hour. Totally unacceptable-considering it's a full service restaurant downstairs. Internet is extremely slow - don't expect to watch any Netflix. Even browsing the web makes you feel like you were on a old ISDN line.
Last Impression: Only saving grace is the hotel is right at the Weehawken Lincoln Harbor ferry stop. It's a 5 min ferry ride to NYC. Just remember last ferry that comes back is at 10:50pm and download the NY/NJ Waterway app for tix and schedule.

Great place to stay if you want to be close to NYC. Bus takes less than 10 minutes to get you there as long as it is not during rush hour.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CurtisG The Good and the Bad
I reserved two rooms, one via Starpoints for two friends. One for me -- a Panorama room. My friends thought their room was very nice. I liked my room a lot. For mine, both the desk and housekeeping were helpful. The room I occupied was wonderful with two exceptions. A room of this type should have a small refrigerator and while I think the hotel's commitment to green is commendable, the toilet was unnecessarily complicated. My only large complaint is that you billed my friends for two night and two cars parking when the only had one car.
