I had reserved for 5 nights stay, but due to some personal problems, I arrived on the third night.
As I have reserved 5 nights and didn't cancel the reservation, I was supposed to pay the 5 nights. I was thinking in pay such nights because it was my fault to arrive late.
But finally I just paid 3 nights, and I was very happy for the discount!
I will comeback 100% to this hotel, and will not delay on the next time,
Of course that Food, Fitness Club, Location was all excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 Staff's Attentiveness
I stayed in this hotel more than 30 times in the last two years, and in my recent stay with my family (on vacation) and myself on business, the hotel staff, especially teh Executive lounge and the senior managementaccomdated us in teh residential suite allowing us to enjoy the stay as a family unit. A lot of effort was put into making sure our stay was an excellent one an dindeed, it is.
In all my stays here, I had always been well taken care off by the team to the extent that they even observe my personal preferences and accomodated that into my next stay.I had used them as reference with other SPG hotels when they are interested in meeting my harsh expectations and they are kind enough to share with them,
I will lose my Platinum status with PriorityClub and Marriot all because of SPG.

Furious: Worst concierge service ever, with SPG, filed a complain with the customer feedback manager, and she was hopeless, and arrogant, not the kind of help you would get from hotel.
Swimming pool was not clean.
Air conditioning in the room need to be cleaned.

It is always important to have the sense of being home when someone travel a lot. I have this feeling every time when I return to your hotel. The team is very friendly and helpful regardless it is a busy morning, leisure weekend, crowed evening in the executive lounge ...
I use the executive lounge a lot. The readiness to help attitude always impress me. Thanks very much.
Pleas continue the effort which really make a difference to my every stay while leaving my home town.

This hotel is modern, has a very comfortable bed and is conveniently located to subway. Fitness center and pool are state of the art. They also have a very nice breakfast buffet. Room air conditioner would not let me make room cooler on this stay which was uncomfortable for sleeping. No recognition as Starwood Gold member and I even had to ask about my welcome gift and the woman checking me in had to ask another associate. That is unusual for this hotel which is usually on top of this.

I found out my lock was not working at 7 am in the morning and called maintenance to fix it. After maintenance engineer changed the battery, the door card no longer worked but no one came to assist after that. I was waiting in the room for an hour and had to call front desk 4 times until hotel manager came to let me know I can leave the room and they will fix the key problem afterwards. It screwed up my morning schedule as I was not able to leave for work before rush hour.

The priced is relatively competitive in Pudong area and reasonably meeting my hotel preference. It is also strategically located nearby the subway which convenience to the customer. I would says this is the best ever hotel I stayed thus made me come back all the time when each time my visit to Shanghai.
On top of that, I would like to take this opportunity to recognize 37th Club floor Shirley, Tina, Bella and Cynthia for their warmer greeding and helpful along my trip.

The reason why I keeps on coming back to this hotel is because of, this hotel has great staff which always serves me better and made me a home feel. I always receive a warm welcome when I check-in this hotel at 37th floor; especially staff like Sherry, Tina, Cynthia and Bella should be recognized and they can even provide a friend talk to help me reduce the homesick. I'm glad that they're still here otherwise I will think twice and move to other hotel if they quit.

The comfortable stayed with excellent professional hospitality management and honesty of front desk team lead by the Guest Service Manager on duty during my check-in. All the staffs are polite and play with their great role to serve the guests, room is clean, tasty food with great variety to choose. They are warmness and absolutely caring customer experiences, especially their management team. I’m satisfies and is my choice for stay when back to this area again.

The 'energy-saving' washer dryer in my unit was loud and inneffective. It took far too long to wash a very small load of laundry and due to the door locking mechanism I was unable to open the door mid-cycle and remove items that needed to be kept wrinkle-free. While I applaud the hotel for including washer-dryer units in the rooms, a standard tower washer dryer setup that takes a full load may be more efficient, saving the hotel money and the guests frustration.

- the location is good
- the SPG recognition was good
- the room was clean and comfortable
- the laundry service was good, I got a elegant message that one of my shirt was broken and could not be washed, very good
- at check-in, I asked for a breakfast box for the day of departure, for I had to catch an early morning flight, when I was checking-out, there's no breakfast box - not good
- the cashewnut at the club lounge breakfast tastes rancid - very bad

unfriendly staff all over the place compared to the hotels i stayed in China, lack of smiles, dont feel like welcomed.
breakfast - food taste bad, i have to sort out the dirty plates every morning, noodles, sausages including room service food, all taste bad except the french toast.
Inconsistent room rate, i kept asking about intel corporate rate, why some of my colleagues get cheaper rate than mine and they also got to enjoy the breakfast?

I checked in very late at 9pm, and the front desk staff was kind enough to offer a door at corp. rate and gave me an upgrade. The room was spacious, and the only glitch is the lack of complimentary Wifi in the room.
Breakfast was good, and the hotel offers options in transportation with a metro station next to it.
I was feeling unwell, and it was nice to get the complimentary late checkout for SPG members, so I can get adequate rest.

arrived at 11PM, 12MAY, checked at Non smoking room, but the room with strong cigarrett smell.
Request change the room, anew room after 2 hours.
The hotel management looks like they do not have any policy for Non Smoking guests.
Those smoking guests can smoke anywhere of the hotel......

1) There is a bad stench in the bathroom
2) Hair dryer was in a bad condition: sticky surface
3) Shower was leaking badly when I checked in
4) Housekeeping lady who polished my shoes left the shoes outside the room instead of returning them to me in person
5) Besides the bathroom and bed, the rest of the areas were not tidied up. My used tissue still on the TV consol and pillow on the office chair when I went back to the room.

The equipment in the gym especially the running machines are frequently out of action and the gym is too hot in the summer with the air-conditioning completely inadequate
No SPG points if you stay in the residences!

Used the gym club and sauna, and can testify that these facilities need some "freshen up", or just good and thorough CLEANING.
there was fungus on the shower walls and the sauna walls were really looking bad.
Same I used the rest rooms of the main hall of the hotel SHERATON PUDONG, and could bearely stay there due to un-pleasant smell : this is not gent's room from railways station and should be cleaned !

very disapportanted when i check in last week.
there was a line up for check in with around 5 guestes, suddenly a lady jump to the queue and approaching the counter for asking room availability which take more than 2 mins.
your staff are fully aware, but no acction taken and keep servicing the lady.
I voiced out to other staff, the feedback from him is nothing but show me he can/will do nothing.

I've only eaten in the restaraunt on the loby floor. I think there chineese dishes would be good but they miss the mark on some western food. Too much fat on the rack of lamb, poor pizza. Staff is great.

I'm a frequent traveller and am a SPG platinum member, Sheraton Pudong is my preferred hotel when I travel to Shanghai simply because it's a home away from home. Room comfort and facility excellence are given but most importantly, it's staff from front desk/bell desk/dinning to VIP lounge are warm and professionally trained, and are reasons the establishment is a 'home away from home' .

I have been staying at this hotel every time I am in Shanghai and I always have great experience. This time was the same, I am SPG gold level, I was greeted and thanked for staying at the hotel and upgraded to suite. It felt so good after some rough traveling in China! I really enjoyed it!

I used to stay in this hotel when I come to Shanghai. However I do not see improvement in services. Gym aircon has not booking since my last visit one year ago, Chinese restaurent's menu never change for past three years (at least), house fly seen during breakfirst, Around 7am, the fire alarm at gym rang for more than 20 mins and no one act and I need to call the front desk to check.

The first room that I stayed in had a terrible smell. I think it must have been a smoking room, but it also had the smell of mold and mildew. It was very strong.
The hot water did not work in the room . The best I could was to get it Luke warm.
I was moved to another room. It was better but did have a mildew smell in the shower. There was hot water in this room.
Staff was Great!

I have stayed at this hotel in Shanghai many times over the past 6 years. It happened that I was at this hotel this week on my birthday. The Director sent a complimentary cake to my room to recognize my birthday. I was very surprised and pleased that the hotel paid attention to the information in my SPG profile, and that they went out of their way to make this very kind gesture.

Stay here a lot. Really like the suites given to Platinum members. Really busy when I checked in, only got 5th floor smoking suite. Next day, asked for better room. Denied. I checked the availability, I was lied to. (plus I overheard the conversation between my check in guy and Frank in Mandarin. oops). NIce hotel, disappointing treatment of a VERY regular guest.

For my various trips to this hotel, i have never failed to get a room upgrade to suite (i am a platinum member). Customer service is excellent - staffs are helpful and thoughtful.
The hotel is also located near the MRT (within 3 min walking distance) and beside a mall, making it very convenient.
Absolutely, among my favourite SPG Sheraton hotel!

The business lounge at 37 floor is one of the best I have ever had. The environment is very comfortable and convenient. Lounge staff Shirly, Bella, Tina, Gina, Kay and Sally are so friendly and helpful. I am a picky person but really have nothing bad to say. Good job, boys and girls and keep it up!
