Rated 4 out of 5 by No club lounge? No club lounge, or at least I did not know about, or nobody told me anything about. Wish they had more tiles on the rooms instead of carpet, but that's my personal preference. January 23, 2013

At many Sheratons including this one Club Lounges are staffed by back-up staff, especially on weekends, which obviously causes problems at times. Food runs out. Plates and other items are difficult to find. At this Sheraton, like some others, it seems that no one in the entire hotel is trained to operate the espresso machine. I called the hotel on Thur to make sure the espresso machine was present and operable. The best answer I could get was "I think so." I called on Fri and was told yes, for sure. On Saturday it was not functioning properly. I would not have stayed there if I knew it was not working. Definitely not if I knew so many staff and so much time would be involved in trying to fix it and operate it. Some people like alcohol and require it. I am this way with coffee. The experience this past Sat night interrupted my relaxation and caused stress. In the wee hours, when I wanted to sit an read, a wedding party filled the lounge. At 5 am when I went into teh lounge for a water, it was if a frat party had happened. The room was littered with beer cans and booze bottles and smelled like a bar room. On the other hand I loved being welcomed back to the hotel by friendly staff. On this stay, unlike past stays, I avoided the restaurant because I wasn't so desperate for food that I'd eat anything and wait an eternity for it to be served. June 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Stay Last Weekend! I had a great time staying in your hotel. I loved the bar restaurant area. I thought the setup of that whole space was awesome (bar/restaurant/breakfast area)! Very inviting and welcoming! I really liked the breakfast buffet, too! Probably the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. The rooms were clean, quiet, and high quality. My only complaint was the pillows. There were no firmer pillows on the beds and they got to be a bit uncomfortable, but only a small thing. I really liked the cookies and juice set out in the afternoon. A very nice touch, and the lobby was a well kept, well organized space to relax. The staff was very friendly, too. One guy, I can't remember his name, but was younger with slightly longer black hair was always just extremely friendly and willing to go out of his way to help. That really enhanced my stay. To be quite honest, your hotel was one of the best hotel experiences I've had. Everyone was great to us and facility setup and accomodations are near perfect in my view. I don't come to the area much, but your hotel would be the first name out of my mouth to anyone needing to head to the area! Thank you so much for an awesome stay last weekend! April 29, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Redefining customer service I stayed at this hotel because my job had moved me to the area and I was looking for a place to live. From the minute I got there, the staff welcomed me and made me feel right at home. They were great with recommendations on areas to live and things to see in Providence, RI. After a few frantic days of house hunting, I was finally able to find somewhere to live and was getting ready to leave the hotel. Two of the guest ambassador's had heard I found a place to live and sent a bottle of Champagne to the room to celebrate. It was truly a touching act of kindness that made me feel like a valued guest. It was such a nice thing to do and I can't recommend this hotel enough! August 17, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Lousy service yet some great employees Front desk employees were good at giving lip service. "We'll have someone rght up to fix your cable" noone ever showed up. I told them three different days that I sign up for green choice so why would house cleaning still come over and clean my room, every day the front desk would tell me it was all set and it wasn't for three consecutive days. Having said the rest of the employees were great enginneering showed me how to fix the cable myself (unplug and then plug a wire). Alex at the club lounge was great he was the one that actually got enginnering to come the room to take a look at the cable. Jessica, Rose all good friendly people June 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by An excellent airport hotel I recently stayed at the Sheraton Providence Airport Hotel for a single night. My motivation for staying at the hotel was its proximity to the Providence airport. The hotel is only a two or three minute drive to the airport. I had not previously stayed at this hotel and was not certain what to expect. My experience ended up being excellent however, and I would (and intend to) definitely return. As soon as I stepped into the hotel lobby I was greeted by a friendly clerk who took my name and then acknowledged my Starwood Gold status. After choosing bonus points as my amenity (the hotel offers free wireless internet to all guests) I checked into my room, which was extremely spacious and located on the Starwood Preferred Guests Level. The room had a king size bed, huge flat screen HDTV and two very large lounge chairs. I was also given club and executive level access (normally only platinum members get this, I believe), though because of how late I checked in I decided not to take advantage of this. The hotel has a nice, though somewhat small, fitness center / pool area including about ten cardio machines (elliptical machines and treadmills), a rack of dumbbells, a nautilus-type machine and an assortment of swiss balls and other gym accessories. They also have many of the usual amenities like complementary towels and headphones. January 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great value for Providence Area outstanding staff The hotel is about 15 minutes from downtown Providence in Warwick right near the airport. We happened upon it in 2012 looking for a hotel that offered free parking.The 3 stays we have enjoyed here, they offered us an upgraded room to their club floor. Our last stay here, September 2013, Michael at the front desk not only upgraded us but gave us a free complimentary breakfast for 2 & helped with our questions about area attractions. He greeted us with a big "good evening" and was extremely patient and helpful with all our requests. Every guest room is offered free internet access. Rooms on the club floor are clean & updated with good size, 42"?, HD TV. Bed was comfy. If you have club lounge access, ask for Alex. He seems to work all the time:) Greets everyone with a big smile & is extremely friendly and helpful. If you have a question about New England history, ask Alex. He has a wealth of information off the top of his head and even a greater love of history in general. We are starwood members & travel to alot of Sheratons. Alex's hors d’oeuvres are the BEST by far. Fried food is crisp not soggy and the assortment is impressive for free afternoon snacks. He makes the lounge feel like someone's living room. I can't remember all the employees names but we have yet to meet one that wasn't helpful and friendly. It is a great midway place to stay between Providence and Newport and a good solid value with terrific people. One last thing, we are from NY and tend to be critical of everything so when people and places leave an impression on us, it stays with us. We will be back everytime we visit the area. They knew my favorites and really surprised me with every one of them. A special thank you to Mike (who always goes out of his way to ensure all is well)and Barbara at the front desk, Alex in the lounge is the best, the drivers even knew it was my birthday. All of this doesn't happen without great management and Rob and Susan run a terrific operation. I stay there quite a bit and always tell my friends and colleagues about my stays.” September 13, 2014

Rated 1 out of 5 by Another musty room This is my second visit (stayed last year, Fall 2012) to this location. The main memory from my last visit was a musty room on the lower level, by the stains on the carpet it looked like water had come in through the window - which I was able to switch out of. Also the hotel was not secure - the side doors were never locked. This visit I was not so lucky, I walked in to another musty room - possibly coming from the bathroom area and I was not able to switch out of it. I have stayed in several Starwood hotels across the US and this one definitely needs a re-evaluation on the damp/musty situation. Luckily I brought my inhaler. September 19, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Staff make all the difference Hotel is nice, but maybe not much more than one would expect (even if expectations fall short at times). What makes all the difference is the staff. Very helpful (and friendly and relaxed at same time). Breakfast hostess (at Club Floor) gets a 100 out of 100. Very close to airport, if that is a plus (it was not for us, as we were driving). A small thing, that was very helpful was that the front desk keeps a rather long list of different types of eateries close to hotel - each with a written directions for how to get there. It is often the small things that make a difference - between a good/ok stay, and one where one come away feeling that expectations were more than fully met.. July 6, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hidden gem near Providence airport Inside the Conference entrance the decor is much more lovely that one would ever expect from the street view of the property. The rooms are fine, and very adequate for a stay in proximity to the airport; afterall, this is not a resort. However, the staff is fabulous and makes the hotel a wonderful place to stay. The frontdesk asked immediately what directions I might need, or assistance in my travels (they probably deal with a number of travelers but cudos to them for proactively anticipating ours needs). The staff throughout the hotel was more han helpful, and it was not fake; they sincerely take pride in their hotel and want the guest to have the best possible experience. May 7, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by pretty bad experience... Got in quite late due to an accident on the highway, so did not really take a look at the room. In the morning we were getting ready for a conference to find some very questionable "stains" on the furniture.. more than one. The heater thermostat did not work and the temperature was always too warm for a good sleep. The conference room was roasting hot and was never improved, even after several attempts by staff. The restaurant food was quite lousy, especially for the price- though the service was good. The staff and front desk people did try to make things right, but there was only so much they could do. Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice Hotel We stayed at the Sheraton while visiting the Boston, Newport areas. We were very happy with the hotel and the staff. We were given a room on the club level which is a very nice upgrade at no additional charge. We were traveling with two eleven year olds and they are always hungry or thirsty. The club room was always stocked with drinks and snacks. Breakfasts were always good, and evening snacks were yummy. Wednesday they offered adult beverages at No Charge, what a nice feature.The hotel is in a great location, 45 min. from Newport and I think about an hour or so from Boston. The hotel staff were very kind to help make a special occasion extra special for both my husband and I. Thank you for taking the time to make a business trip more leisurely for my spouse with a nice surprise in our room upon our arrival to smiling helpful staff in the morning at breakfast. Rated 5 out of 5 by A Wonderful Choice We spent 4 nights here, 8/14-8/18/14. The staff was wonderful; from Ja'son and Eric and the rest of the desk staff; Dan who was the unofficial concierge for the weekend, Jessie and Danielle in the restaurant and Ebony of housekeeping; all were cheerful and went out of their way to make our stay a most pleasant one. The room was well-appointed and the bed very comfortable; the restaurant was bright and clean and the food a cut above the usual hotel restaurant fare, and the whole experience well worth a return visit. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great People I have been re-assigned to a new sales territory back in August of 2011 and I chose this Hotel for its great location And having stayed there several times before. I stay practically every other week, and the Staff did not take long to recognize me and call me by name. Olga at the Front desk could not be more welcoming and helpful, the Club lounge staff both morning and evening are just lovely people, engaging and helpful. They take an interest in how my day is starting and ending. Starwood Brands are all quite nice in there physical appearance but it is the people that bring me back. February 26, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Sheraton hotel - felt a little tired I generally like Sheraton's, but this one seemed a little tired. The beds were small and not that comfortable . The heating system seemed old and noisy and either left the room too hot or too cold unless you fiddled with it often. There was a piece falling off of our shower handle assembly. They use single ply toilett paper which felt cheap and rough. We liked the free wi-fi. Sunday they serve buffet brunch only which did not look that appealing . We packed up and went elsewhere. The maid, when she cleaned, did not empty the ice bucket or leave fresh cups in the room. Oh well. May 26, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 Room Smelled Musty-Showed lots of wear and tear The hotel is old. The room had a nice bed and was comfortable, but had an unpleasant, musty smell upon entering. Also, there was a lot of wear and tear showing. The shower head was loose and cap had pulled away from the wall, and the floor board over the carpets was letting loose from the wall. Hotel is close the airport and main road, so very loud. September 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Staff Responsiveness I remain very impressed with the way every staff member, administration, desk staff , cleaning people, etc greet you in the halls and service areas. It is refreshing and makes one feel welcomed . I had occasion to go to the front desk and "mini store " area to try and get my wife a shower cap. I looked for a few minutes but couldn't see one when a very nice lady at the desk asked if she could help . I told her what I needed and after a quick smile she produced 2 shower caps from behind the desk. What service ! Thanks for having such wonderful staff. It makes a difference ! May 27, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by My hopes were dashed..... First, the restaurant food, atmosphere, and especially the smell, was terrible. Hotel security was non-existent. I did not feel safe. I like that the hotel accepts pets, although I did not bring one. I also liked the lounge, with the bar and hors d'oeuvres. However, no one checked whether you were even staying at the hotel, much less someone paying the premium for this perk. Come to mention it, for a "premium" room, my room was tiny and the tv worked sporadically. Overall, one expects much more for a Sheraton hotel. I will not be returning. July 27, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not bad, but less than I expect Having stayed frequently at many area hotels, this one is below expectations. The rooms are a bit worn, rugs are stained, lamps a bit rickety. Restaurant service can be a bit sluggish but food is decent. The TV has remarkably few channels, especially compared to several nearby hotels that have many more channels including 5 or 6 premium channels (HBO, Showtime) compared to one at this hotel (just main Showtime channel). Staff is courteous and pleasant. August 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Came through in a jam! :) My family stayed at your hotel for 6 peaceful nights. During our first nights stay we realized we forgot to bring our daughters pacifier..it was 10:30 pm and my daughter couldn't sleep and kept crying for her pacifier. In our pajamas, I decided to take my daughter to the nearest drug store to buy a pacifier..when we reached the lobby we were greeted with a friendly staff member who offered us a shuttle ride to the drug store. Thank you SOO much! July 4th your hotel lost power and the hallways were dark for almost 2 days. My daughter was very scared. July 10, 2014
