Rated 4 out of 5 by Scott Hotel is showing some age
The hotel was nice, but it is starting to show it's age. One place in particular are the elevators. They would rarely signal which direction, or even what door was going to be opening.
The valet service needs some work too. the wait for a car to be brought up was fantastic, it was very minimal. The issue was the attendants themselves. They always seemed to be congragated together, and slow to react to the customer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Nananurse Urine stained mattresses
On 12/15/12 we checked to room with very large urine stained mattress, when we reported it to front desk we had to wait in lobby for almost an hour before being moved to another room, no response from hotel management until a form letter/email almost 2weeks later. I convinced my hubby to try here again as we like the spa and Shulas,. When making reservations and at check in I mentioned the urine problem last visit, Again we received a room with urine stained mattress. The housekeeping shift manager brought another old but untainted mattress to the room, not a heavenly bed as advertised, but we did not hear from hotel manager until 12:04 am, while we were sleeping!
This hotel has serious cleanliness issue and hotel management could care less, only response we have had is from housekeeping staff. Someone needs to call Gordon Ramsey to put this place on Hotel H,,, tv show.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Emjemj Great place
I stay at hotels well over a 100 nights a year and most all nice places. My family and I have spent the last 15 years at Christmas here. I have stayed at many of the Disney owned resorts over the years but this beats them all hands down. I never understand he negative comments people leave . The location is better than any. The food choices better than any. The pools better and the staff is the best.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Karen5 Only stayed because I had to.
If you had blindfolded me and took me to the Dolphin and put me in my room and then asked me where I was I would have guessed a no-name hotel on some back road in the middle of no where. I am well traveled and never in my life have I walked into a hotel room and immediately called and asked for a room change. They didn't change me until 2 days later. My rug was tread-bare, curtains ripped and mildew reeked in room.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Troy39 This hotel had problems with air conditioning
We were forced to move rooms once to try to get a cooler room. After we moved into the second room, there was construction done while we were at the Disney park. There was insulation, sheetrock, dust and debris left in our room when we returned. We had to go to the front desk to get cleanup so we could stay the night in the room.

Have been staying at the Dolphin for 10 years. Hotel is beautiful. Every restaurant has excellent food and wonderful staff, courteous and attentive. Rooms are clean and beds are so comfortable. Housekeeping is excellent. Location between epcot and Hs cannot be beat. can walk to both. Pools are fabulous, spa is gorgeous. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I have. I plan to come here for many years to come.

We needed a place to stay for the first two nights of our Disney vacation. Joel at the front desk is so kind and helpful...he set the tone for our entire stay. We were tired and ordered room service and had it delivered on a portable table that we put in front of the window and watched the Epcot fireworks. The boats to Epcot and Hollywood studios made it easy to get into the parks...overall, a great place to stay.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Lois11 Poor Housekeeping
I enjoy this hotel, it is well staffed and appointed and I definitely noticed a marked improvement in the quality of the food from my last stay, a pleasant surprise. However, the housekeeping staff was down right sloppy. Twice I found bars of soap on the floor, the glasses looked dirty, the bed was barely made and the overall appearance of the room was dirty. Very disappointing and certainly not up to SPG quality.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Starr23 Frequent Guest, Disappointed by Condition of Room
The bed skirt was stained, there was a needle/pin on the carpet , and the door wouldn't lock properly. We have stayed here many times in the past 10 years, and this room was the worst we've ever gotten. Upon checkout the staff member did waive our parking/resort fees for the night, which was appreciated- but there was no excuse for the condition of the room which certainly affected our anniversary trip to Disney.

I was really disappointed with my experience at your hotel for it being on Disney property. Sheraton with no club level and wasn't told this before hand. The staff with the hotel were not very accommodating with the exception of the Restaurants Blue Zoo and the fresh Mediterranean both of those restaurants we great. I received my bill under the door and there was an error with the room rate for the second night, a charge for $429 when it should have been $159. I called to get it fixed and ended being on hold for a long time and then when i did get through to the right person they indicated that it was a computer error. at a resort like this I would think there would be some Quality Control prior to placing the bill under the quests door.
I apologize for the harsh review and I don't ever fill these out - thinking it would be a waste of time but, I really was disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Miichele GREAT Experience with family
It was busy but when the front desk saw that we were on the Gold/Platinum line, they recognized immediately at both the Swan and Dolphin. It was a special time for my family and they were sure to please us. JAMES at the front desk from the Swan, was wonderful. Every staff member had a smile on their face and were happy to be there. All were professional and it appeared they were well trained. What a relief! I had a better experience here, at the Swan &Dolphin, with service then one of the five diamond resorts my husband and I stayed at this past year.
Our room at The Swan had a balcony , it was nice but not for four people. many of Swan's rooms were being renovated at the time, so I understood. They did acknowledge and we were moved the next day to the Dolphin. They were extremely helpful with the move, upgraded us to a large suite and gave us a dinner credit. I did not ask for the credit but again, James was a passionate and professional employee of the Swan. He knew it was a special time for us.
When I travel, which is over 180 nights a year, I look for service, room comfort and convenience.
SERVICE was five star!
The Swan and Dolphin has great restaurants, you can walk to EPCOT and the Boardwalk, there are boats that take you to Hollywood studios and buses to Animal Kingdom , Magic Kingdom. The pools are nice as well as their grounds overall. The rooms were clean. Swan is a bit more subdued while the Dolphin can be busier.
I have been to the Swan and Dolphin since my son was younger, at least seven times before, for 15 years, and always had a great experience.I have been to all of the Disney hotels and always come back here to the Swan and Dolphin.
WE cannot thank you all enough for making our experience special. We will be back!!! We also told all of our friends and family.

Rated 3 out of 5 by John91 Long walk to room
We had a nice stay, but I should have asked for a different room. I failed to tell the reception person that I had a stress fracture of my left foot and too much walking was not good. They set us up in Room 4169, which is the farthest room from the west elevators. I could of asked for a different room when we found out the location, but we just made it do. Next time I'll know better. Otherwise everything was ok.

Rated 3 out of 5 by OBXmike Not up to par!
I stay with Spg when ever we can. 4 of our last five Disney trip at this hotel, but this time I was very disappointed. What happened? My room smelled like the a/c had leaked in the floor for weeks and the curtains were barely hanging on the rod. I had to ask the attendant to spray air freshener in the room just to stay. I corrected the curtains myself. The room my mother arrived for for her 60th birthday was missing the fridge. Staff did great replacing it with one but it did not work. Maybe the worst part was the repeated 2am and 4 am wake up calls every night. On the third night I went down to the front desk at 4am to ask why, the gentleman had a great response but the follow up from his manager as promised was nonexistent. I stay with this hotel for the level of service and comfortable accommodations I receive. I do not feel this met my expectations from previous stays.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Karen09 Exceptional Stay
My husband and I stayed at your facility for one night with our nephews as we stopped through Orlando coming from Miami to Atlanta. We stayed in Orlando the week prior and wished we would have chosen your hotel then. The room was very clean and the perfect size for all. We booked the room with a view of the fireworks at Epcot and it was PERFECT! We really enjoyed our stay and wished we would have stayed longer.

Although there was a mix up with one of my rooms upon arrival (I booked two rooms), the staff did everything they could to make me and my family comfortable. They worked to give me extra points for my inconvenience and helped me with anything I needed.
This hotel is conveniently located on Disney grounds and has a great pool and children's facility.
We had a wonderful time and a great stay!

We live in Orlando and we will stay here or the Swan at least three times a year for our "staycations." The hotel is always clean, family friendly and welcoming. We visit the parks or just crash at the pool for a few days. We always have a great time and the kids love it.

Booked 4 months in advance and no room available at checking time. Worst hotel experience as far as checking in. Was told "double booking... sorry...", so have to wait until something frees up. Traveling all around the world, real "mickey mouse" experience this past friday, no clue what customer service is... "Get in line... we are the best.... so far???? you lost me... sorry... And I am a florida resident...

Everything from check-in to check-out was perfect! I wish we could have stayed longer! At check in we were upgraded to a room with a firework view and since I have a 15 month old it was perfect! We watched everything right from our window and will be back next year! :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by Elaine57 Great location, tired hotel
The Dolphin has seen better times, and I've had better stays there. I paid extra for a larger room because the regular rooms are so small. Although we were not right next to the elevator, the noise of the high-speed elevator wooshing up and coming to a loud stop was constant throughout the day. And night. Ick. Amenities were average, restaurants average. The whole experience was average, but at a high price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jeff420 Nice hotel but housekeeping needs to step it up
My wife and I took our three children to Disney for a long weekend. We enjoyed our stay at The Dolphin, but were disappointed when we returned to our room Saturday night after a long day at the parks and found that housekeeping had not been there to restock our towels, empty the trash and make the beds. We called the desk and someone was there within 15 minutes to take care of the problem. Overall nice stay.

Rated 3 out of 5 by anita88 Not completely satisfied
In our original room #14145, there was a half-eatened m&m under the desk. We also noticed a piece of dried food particle under the bathroom vanity, leading me to believe that the carpets and floors were not cleaned. We moved to room #6087 and the only problem we had in this room was the first night I was awakened 3 times during the night when the shower was being used by the occupants in an adjacent unit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Meghan69 Rooms were average,
I am very partial to Starwood and their line of hotels. However, I thought our rooms were average at best. We stayed in an Excecutive Suite and it didn't have an utensils for food. We had the two rooms connecting the suite and it was alot of room but nothing special. I had to request that my room be vacuumed. Something that should be standard when cleaning the room for the day. Disappointed with the rooms.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sharperrn Used Bar of Dove soap in tub!
I was appalled to find a used bar of soap in my tub- disgusting! Was the tub even cleaned? Then, on my last day I called for a late check out. The hotel was booked, so they could only give me until noon-I appreciated that. I was in the bathroom when I heard a knock on the door shortly after 11am. I didn't even have time to answer the door or respond when the maid opened my door and about to walked in.

Stayed for a business trip and found many staff members to be indifferent to whether they met your needs or not. Had to have my passport overnighted because of an emergency. Business center charged me a fee to hand over my Fed Ex package. My company was spending tens of thousands of dollars at this property. Absolutely ridiculous. I would not recommend this property to anyone!! Old and not the cleanest.

Rated 2 out of 5 by DisneyFan Not up to usual standards
We have stayed at the Dolphin on multiple occasions and find that it offers great value and is ideally located with excellent transportation access to the parks. Unfortunately, our latest experience was a real disappointment. The rooms were not in good repair; mine had a non-working telephone, and mini-refrigerator that didn't work other than to buzz loudly at times making sleep impossible, and a bathtub that didn't drain. We eventually got these problems fixed but we shouldn't have experienced them in the first place. The wireless internet service didn't work, although multiple calls including lengthy hold times resulted in another service we could utilize by the last day of our 5 day stay. We also never received maid service one day despite being in the parks until after 7 p.m. Overall the experience was disppointing, so I will be looking for another hotel for future WDW stays.
