Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointed in room Room was substandard compared to other hotels I have visited. Bathroom was very outdated with dirty tile grouting. There was no room service menu in the room - had to call for one. Front desk staff very helpful. Meeting rooms were pretty good but food overall was disappointing. Would not stay in this hotel again. Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice view but room didn't feel clean I love the location, great views and overall nice hotel. The Chicago Burger Company located in the hotel has great burgers!! Not impressed with my room. It was really dusty with the bed next to the desk. Also could smell stale spilled coffee while lying in bed. Room needs a deep cleaning! Overall I enjoyed my stay! Rated 2 out of 5 by Wrong room given at 2 am My in-laws visited this country for the first time in life.I had paid extra in advance for a deluxe view and 2 double beds. But at 2 am, I was given a room overlooking the parking with 1 king bed. It wasnt a comfortable experience after 24 hour journey. I had to argue with the manager who thought we were being rude. Rated 5 out of 5 by Fabulous Birthdays This hotel is a great place to celebrate many occasions. We have winter birthdays and we like the pool with the glass, and the wonderful views from the room. It feels cozy and we love it. Clean,secure,and comfortable, great beds.The staff are the greatest, they make you feel important. I'm going again in the spring. January 28, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Unexpected problems This is one of several stays at this hotel. In the past, the inadequate exercise facility has been the major issue. On this visit, the television did not work and the Hotel did not have the room that I reserved. Instead of apologizing, the front desk argued that my printed reservation was just wrong. Rated 3 out of 5 by Sorry...I wish I could recommend :( The location of this hotel is it's greatest appeal. Our lengthy check-in, unpleasant front desk associate, less than spotless room, and long wait to get our car out of valet, leaves me to give this hotel a very average rating. I'm not sure if a welcome gift is always customary for Gold members, but none was given. April 10, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great location This is a great location but the overall experience was a little disappointing. Our room had drywall damage in the bathroom and mold on the ceiling. We did not have enough towels and called for more but they never arrived. Also the ice machine was not working on our floor. I expected more from this level of hotel. August 8, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Overall pleasant experience Hotel staff was pleasant and went out of their way to please and help. Rooms were clean, but I am concerned about trend in hotels to have minimal lighting. One entire side of the room had no overhead or lamp lighting. And bathroom lighting was not that good for applying makeup. Other than that, I enjoyed the stay. November 7, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great Location; fair price for chicago The pool was FREEZING! There is no tap beer in the lobby bar or hotel restaurant. The room was really dirty. The desk hadn't been wiped down - there was sticky stuff on it. There was weird stuff dripped onto the coffee packets. There were stickers on the mirror. Gross. I only recommend if you don't mind dirtiness. November 27, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Hotel and Staff were exceptional The rooms were great and the staff was very pleasant. This made my first trip to Chicago an exceptional one. One particular employee who was exceptional was a waitress named Diane in the bar area, never met anyone nicer or more pleasant!!! She is a great asset to the hotel and made a super long day enjoyable!!!!! August 22, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very nice hotel with very comfortable beds We stay at this hotel every year for the Sailrite show. It is close enough to Navy Pier to walk and because of the rate from Sailrite it is affordable. Other than room rate, everything else in the hotel is very expensive. That said, there are so many fine restaurants around the area, that is really not an issue. January 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great customer service to match great hotel My stay there was very enjoyable and I would wholeheartedly recommend the Sheraton to anyone else who is considering an elegant hotel to stay in during the future. What impressed me the most was the customer service, including the follow up service AFTER I had previously stayed there. That will not be forgotten. July 15, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Needs Updating This hotel needs updating. Our room was comfortable but old. The paint was peeling and the fixtures were outdated, One of the reasons we stayed here was because of the heated pool mentioned on the website-this pool is NOT heated. It is merely an indoor pool and this was a HUGE disappointment. December 10, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Way too expensive for our company, but I liked it Restaurants--Shulers is way too expensive--company rejects the dollar values for regular employees who are dinning in this restaurant. Better to take a plane to central Africa than to eat here. But I liked the hotel and its location. The fitness center was full no matter what time I arrived for the week 5-6 am October 22, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice location Rooms need to be freshened up - renovated especially the washrooms. View was great from the 15th, river side. They need to add shower caps and bathrobes in these rooms - when you pay that price you expect these utilities as a standard. Bar downstairs is great meeting area before going out for dinner and after. June 12, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not the best for the money spent The highlight of this hotel was the friendly and capable staff. From reception to parking, the staff was absolutely the best. Unfortunately I had a corner room which was a bit small for my taste. Paying extra for a microwave/microfridge seemed a bit discouraging. Overall, the room was fine, but not impressive. July 29, 2012

The staff was professional and extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations, taxi service, and area attractions. Fabulous breakfast buffet with exceptional waitstaff. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Stay WE really enjoyed our stay here. We are in Chicago frequently. In fact, we were at another hotel earlier in the week for a conference. We like this Sheraton. It is very busy but they handle it well. All the employees we encountered were excellent. Chicago has it all and the Sheraton is in a perfect location. August 6, 2013

The recent renovation has given the hotel new life. I look forward to my stays in the hotel and cannot wait until my next visit. December 19, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Very Disappointed I was very disappointed with my recent visit. I have stayed at this hotel several times previously and this visit was by far the worst experience. I felt that the customer service was lacking. Some of the front desk staff were slow and incompetent. They did not follow through with request. December 6, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent hotel staff and beautiful accomodations. This is a beautiful hotel with the most comfortable beds and wonderful views of the river and lake. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and courteous. The breakfast buffet at the hotel restaurant was out of this world delicious. We have definitely found our hotel for future stays in Chicago. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Room-Great Food I booked our room through Priceline and we had the best time! Awesome view, nice decor, quiet, interesting lobby area to relax and people watch. Right across the street from AMC Theaters which worked out great, we visited the Chicago Film Fest! Close to Navy Pier and other fun! I would stay again :) October 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by No free Wi-Fi We were annoyed that we didn't have free Wi-Fi in our room. A charge of $13.95 a day is out of line. I've stayed at much less luxurious hotels that offer this service free. At least there was a hot spot in the Link Cafe, where the business center was located. Everything else was good. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Chicago Weekend Hotel Hotel is in a prime location. Nice Lobby. Club Lounge on top floor with Amazing Views of the City, River, and Lake. Easy access to Navy Pier, Magnificent Mile, Millieum Park etc. Would definitely stay again. Chicago is one of the best weekend cities and staying here made it that much better. Thank you. Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Experience I had reserved a renovated room. At my arrival, I was assigned a dark non renovated room in a low floor. I asked for another one. Then I was assigned another non renovated room, but in the Club Floor, with benefits, so the change was very welcome, and I liked my stay. The staff was polite and efficient. September 12, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good times has gone The welcome was great: customer friendly and we felt really welcome ! The rooms are a bit outdated and so are the floors in general. Rooms are ok but for this amount of money I would have expected more. The whole feeling and impression you get in the lobby isn't confirmed on the sleeping levels. October 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Business Trip in Hotel I was in this hotel for a conference for 4 days without leaving the building... and was surprising pleased. The staff is wonderful and super friendly... especially the head bellman. Rooms are wonderful and clean. The conference rooms were great as well. Food was good and catered by hotel. November 15, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Meet expectations but ... ... Perfect location, bus, shuttle and taxi services. Rooms need to be updated for better performance (bathroom needs shower cabin) and air conditioning is very noising. In general, to me, a refresh is mandatory. Good breakfast, lounge bar and shop service. Quite long waiting times at the reception. March 25, 2013

They recognized me from day to day and learned my preferences and saw to them being consistently met. But the best thing was the warmth of their smile and the genuine concern for my well being. The room was gorgeous, the view was spectacular, the amenities were abundant, and the service was impeccable. We eagerly look forward to our next visit. Our gracious thanks to the staff.
