Rated 3 out of 5 by Average to lower end of Sheraton family... Awkward location near the Miami Airport. It is an older hotel that has had light updating. Decent place for no frills business travel, however, wouldn't recommend for leisure travel. Clean and in acceptable condition. August 9, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Wow - What a miss First room was so gross we had to leave right away. We asked the last time it was cleaned. Staff did not know. Second room was barely acceptable. (And we are not that picky.) Ten minutes after being in room, man (claiming to be house keeping) barged into our room as we were changing and told us we needed to checkout. (Obvious mistake, but, we were in the middle of undressing.) We have stayed here in the past with no issues, but this was bad. Very bad. February 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great place to stay! Would definitely stay again. But don't buy ANYTHING from Farina's Pizzeria. We ordered steak subs and garlic bread. Man said it would be 35 mins, we waited an hour 10 mins and called back then was told another 35 mins. When we finally got the food (if that is what you could call it) it was very disappointing. The garlic rolls didn't have any garlic on them and were tough like 5 day old rolls. The steak subs had no steak on them , just some kind of mystery meat. Delivery guy should speak a little basic English also. I ended up throwing most of it out. The hotel should do something about the local food buisnesses they let put fliers in everyones room. At least make sure the food is edible. All the vending machines on every floor were inop also. Not sure if it is planned that way so you buy from their store but did seem kinda strange. May 12, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Disceptive The sales staff was disceptive and tried to procure a 2 nite deposit. I strongly objected and was told my reservations was for 3 nites not 4. When I checked in my card was charged over $700.00 due to a 4 nite stay that was never removed. Again I had to STRONGLY object before I got resolution. I was told I would get a sleeper for the 3rd person again deceiving, only 2 queen beds in the room. The phone didn't work and was never repaired during my stay. Bait and switch is what your sales team practices to make their sales goals and apparently the GM Jon approves of this deception. I will tell my story on all 5 of my Social Media sites. Rated 3 out of 5 by Sheraton Airport This hotel is handy for an overnight stay near to airport and car hire. It is basic but clean the hotel has a SPG lounge but certainly not of a high standard it is very basic. There is a paid shuttle to local mall. Perfect for one night either leaving from MIA or arriving. July 26, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by disappointed Staff did nothing the acknowledge platinum status other than to tell me that I get extra points since they don't offer any other options. Room was fine, needs to be put onto the list of hotels that Starwood plans to renovate, but wasn't bad. However, I was woken around 5am by loud screeching noise coming from elevators that would sound apparently every time it stopped or came near my room. Having arrived late due to flight delays I was hoping for some sleep, but it didn't happen. When I called the management they apologized, but nothing they could do could make up for the hours or sleep that I needed but did not get. There are a dozen other hotels nearby. If price is competitive, preferred benefits are no different, the rooms are fair, but you need to be able to sleep, either make sure you get a room far from the elevators or stay somewhere else. Rated 1 out of 5 by Would not stay here again. The room constantly had feather particles suspended in the air, either from the pillows or linens. The coffee station did not get replenished when the room was cleaned daily. We had to call the front desk to get coffee, cups, creamer and sugar brought to our room. One time they took half an hour to get to our room. The basic room that I was assigned as an SPG member did not even contain a small fridge to keep my childs anti-biotics cold. I have stayed in hotels half the price of this one that atleast had a small fridge. The only good thing about this hotel is the fantastic breakfast buffet. If you're looking for breakfast around the Miami airport, I would recommend the Rickenbacker restaurant but if you're looking for a hotel, definitly go elsewhere. November 28, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Stay 6/25/14 Arrive around 3:00-3:15am. Delay flight. Could not check me in as the system was running and needed "the batch to end" before I could be given a room. Finally was admitted at 3:45. Left the hotel for my next flight at 6:08am. Still dont have my credit or my points on the system. July 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great stop over Great priced stop over hotel when flying into Miami, free hotel shuttle to hotel, quick, easy, efficient check in. Room was fine if a bit dated but overall met our needs fully. Club lounge great for a light snack and drink after a long flight, Continental breakfast in lounge also met our needs. Staff in lounge excellent. Ideal location to stroll across to pick up hire car at the Miami Airport car rental centre. October 13, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Rooms are in dire need of renovation I published a detailed review on Trip Advisor that expressed my displeasure with this property and I am glad to report that the GM responded advising that there are room renovations coming! The room was, in a word, scary and you just didn't feel as though you were in a healthy environment. It is difficult to rate the room that I had north of a ONE. The high quality food, meeting facilities and personnel were superb - but it was still sad in the evenings to come back into a room that was in DIRE NEED of renovation. And make certain that you pay the price to get a golf course view room that has been renovated June 11, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by A Home away from Home. Every time i check into this hotel i feel like i'm in my home away from home. I always love to see the smiling face of Agar Geneus at the front desk and Mayling Marenco in the Club Lounge. They are 2 of the reasons i keep coming back time after time, even though on some occasions i could save a few dollars at the sister starwood hotel a few blocks down the road. Geri, at the front desk is also a very happy sight for traveled eyes as she always has a great disposition and always remembers my name. Its always like a home coming to me. The Dolphin mall is alway's a stop for me and the bus picks you up right in front of the hotel . I love the golf course view, and the walk or run from the hotel to the shopping area about 2 miles down the road if you follow the Golf course. I have never had a problem running or walking in the area in the morning or afternoon. Always will be my first choice in the Miami airport area. Great Job and Great Service , Agar,Geri and Mayling... Rated 5 out of 5 by Even when not everything goes perfect, someone make the difference. I'm a frequent traveler to this facility for more then 20 years. As I come from South America, my flights arrive very early in the morning and sometimes I have to wait for the accommodation. This time the welcome at 6 am was not the expected by the front desk agent but Mrs Cecilia Suarez made all difference with a warm welcome at breakfast as always. November 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel was excellent This hotel had everything that we needed for a short stay. Very clean and staff very helpful for whatever we needed. Went above and beyond helping us get to and from Coral Gables! Enjoyed the pool and fitness center and our room could not have been nicer. Shuttle service on time to get us back to the airport! Would recommended this hotel to everyone. May 28, 2013

I have food allergies and he took special care to make sure that my breakfast was perfect. He was most friendly and professional. You are lucky to have him. I have stayed at this hotel often. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great stay This was a pleasant hotel to stay in. The rooms were comfortable, especially the mattresses. It is close to the Airport and provides a free shuttle to and from the Airport. It is well located in Miami to major roads and to public transportation. We enjoyed the view, the pool, the resturant and the Preferred guest floor facilities. January 7, 2014

The staff is very attentive and professional. Rooms are very clean and the bed is super comfortable and the Golf view is very therapeutic. Recommending it strongly. February 22, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hotel was wonderful!!! My husband and I stayed here for our 6 year wedding anniversary to enjoy Miami! The pool area was very nice and the outside bar was great! We enjoyed the front desk staff and visitors that we meet. The hotel was about 20 minutes from port of Miami but right across the street from bus and trail station. Very close to airport! I have 6 rooms booked with double beds and when my group arrived the hotel for check-in, they told us that there are no double beds available, only King size available for all 6 rooms. Also, they over-charged us by one room (7 rooms payment rather than 6 rooms payment) and denied the fact by not issuing a credit back to us. March 8, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Almost This hotel met my expectations, unfortunately I was not expecting much. The shuttle from the airport was prompt and the driver was courteous. I enjoyed the décor in the lobby, the front desk staff had an employee working the SPG line who was not used to checking people in so that was a slow experience. My room was plain and drab, moldy smell in the bathroom… but that is the same in most Miami hotels. The club lounge is small and the evening food was cold pasta salad, fruit, cheese, and fruit and grain bars. There were soft drinks behind the bar. There were no hotel staff in the lounge so dirty dishes were next to the food. I went to the bar to get dinner, I did not eat in the lounge. The bar staff was very friendly although the bar furniture was showing lots of wear and tear. I ordered a burger cooked medium. The burger came out well done, but at least the fries were cold. Others were eating at the bar and their food looked good …. Maybe I should have ordered a sandwich January 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by A great way to start our vacation! This hotel is beautiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Getting around is extremely easy due to the free airport shuttle, the proximity to the MIA mover and train station and you can walk across the street to the car rental center. Also the breakfast at the hotel restaurant is WONDERFUL. October 31, 2013

Too few elevators, always had to wait long, very poor club lounge, no alcohol drinks, had to drink coffee from a starbuck beaker. Old room refurbishment overdue, dirty bathroom. All in all, never again. I could have know, the price was too cheap October 5, 2013

This the second time we have stayed at the Sheraton Miami, we were treated like family, Fabiola at check in, Victor and Miguel in the bar, Bostone in the restaurant, all extremely friendly and hospitable. This hotel is really a home from home, we are truly excited about planning another visit. May 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Location and Comfort The hotel is just accross the airport, and next to the metrorail station, if you don' have a car there. The golf course surrounding the hotel gives it a nice landscape and view. A reasonable fitness center for a hotel and very comfortable rooms. It should add more cable TV channels. August 17, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by They spent their remodel budget on the lobby Got upgraded to a bi-level suite on the top floor - great, but the room was very dated and smelled of mildew/mold on both floors. The ventilation system was clunky and noisy. The lobby and club lounge are beautiful but its obvious they didnt spend a dime on the suites.... December 5, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not up to Sheraton standards My wife and I arrived around 1 PM and had to wait until after 4 PM for our room. A bus load arrived shortly after we did and they went directly to their rooms. We walked into our room and there were 2 iron burns on the carpet. March 21, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lynn from Michigan This hotel was great. The shuttle was timely, the staff friendly and helpful, and the bed was very comfortable. It was very convenient to the airport and the Metro rail system to downtown. I certainly would stay here again! May 12, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sheraton Miami Airport Enjoyed my 2 night stay. Was upgraded to a very nice suite for only $20 per night. Parking is hard to find so I was forced to use valet. Enjoyed the pool and the restaurant. I would highly recommend this hotel. January 12, 2012
