Service, food and general feel of the hotel were fantastic. Rooms were excellent and internal fit out was plush. The water features and gardens are tired but overall great place to stay.

Sheraton Mirage need to look after loyal customers better. We were told it had been refurbished since our holiday last year, I dont know where, It is looking aged and in poor condition other than the entrance area. The prices for your room service are as high as any top class restaurant and the food falls way short. In summary you are charging primo prices for rooms that are aged and your food is over priced, We upgraded due to the filthy state of the first room we were given and the terrible location, as I said you should try to look after returning customers not treat them like mugs. We are now disappointed 2 years running and probably wont be back.

My Husband and I stayed here during the last weekend of the school holidays (maybe not the best time but it was the only weekend we could arrange). The hotel was very busy during which I think caused a few issues which would not have been experienced during other times of the year.
The staff member checking us in was very friendly but unfortunately had to inform us that our room was not ready (she was very sorry and i cannot fault her service at all). We were told it would take no more than 30 minutes and were offered a drink at the pool why we waited for her call. After an hour and no call we went back to check in to ask if our room was ready. A different attendant seemed a bit confused and we were told he would get us an alternative room. We waited while he made some calls regarding rooms and after a few minutes we are told our original room was actually ready.
The room was very nice and clean with everything we expected. But unfortunately the room was at the very entrance to the south wing and very noisy we heard trolleys and bags being pulled over the entrance way to the wing. I also believe there was an air conditioner or ice machines or similar near our room as we could hear a constant electronic hum. We also heard every conversation had in the hallway and in the morning my husband had to tell two children to please play somewhere other than directly outside our doorway. We did not ask for another room as we were told, during checkin, the hotel was at capacity.
The same attendant who checked us in also checked us out. Again she was very friendly and very pleasant. She again apologised for the room not being available and informed us we could have had late checkout if we wanted. It was a nice touch but would have been more beneficial if it was offered on check-in or earlier in the morning. By check out we were packed and didn't really see the point in going back to a room.
I would stay again, as the grounds and staff were very nice. But I would be more aware of the time of year and ensure I book with enough time to ensure we get a quieter room.

We have been going to the Sheraton Gold Coast yearly since the day it opened,sometimes more tha once a year.Tha hotel is truly a wonderful place to holiday & relax.The staff make us so welcome and it is amasing how they always remember your name,We have always found the food to be so nice and the buffet so tempting.Staff are so kind. If you want shopping the hotel is attached to a wonderful shopping complex.We love the place and are treated like kings when we return. We hope that us 86 year olds can continue to enjoy the wonderful visits to the Hotel for many more years. I could continue writing the praise of this hotel for ever.

We recently stayed at this hotel for a weekend. Really loved our mirage resort room, very spacious with a great corner bath to relax in. Paula at reception gave me a nice room on the 3rd floor. Thank you also to Mark Sexton for the lovely welcome letter in our room on our arrival.
Pros: Great room, comfy beds, soft linens and towels, lovely view of gardens and lagoon pools.
Fantastic, friendly staff, such as Paula and Shane at reception. I dont recall all the staff names at the Oasis bar or Pearls bar but they were all lovely and helpful. Great location, we enjoyed the pool and the squeaky white sand beach. Really nice to see lots of umbrellas for shade by the pool. I stayed in 2009 and there was very limited shade options then. Nice to see the improvements that have been made to this stunning resort.
Cons: our room A/C was extremely noisy, at first I thought that was just normal hotel A/C but by the end of the two days, it was starting to get to us. We unfortunately were on the floor where an extremely loud "domestic" argument broke out between a man and a woman on the Friday night. Not the hotel's fault, but quite disturbing as we could hear the yelling and screaming from at least 6 or 7 rooms away. Another lady had also heard the disturbance and had called to notify the hotel staff, and I did the same.
Hotel food prices were exorbitant eg: $99 p/person for a buffet dinner in Terraces and no space to accommodate us anyway because it was Valentine's Day. I had called 3 days before arrival to arrange a dinner booking but to no avail. I think as a guest in the hotel, you might expect consideration to get a table, not so. Oyster bar was also fully booked. Perhaps an email from the hotel advising of high occupancy and to make reservations early would have been appropriate. We ended up going over to Marina Mirage. After seeing the prices of the hotel food, ie breakfast $42 p/person, a simple toasted sandwich by the pool is $21, we ate most of our meals at the Marina cafes/restaurants.
As an SPG Gold member, I am usually afforded a late check out until 4pm, here I was told they could not do that when I was checking in, that I had to call on the day to "request" it. I did follow through the next night and was granted a 4pm check out if I paid extra for this. I reluctantly agreed as we needed the extra time before our late flights. On the day, we got locked out of our rooms after lunch, despite being granted late check out so we lost time having to sort this issue out, walking back and forth to the room several times, trying both our keys and then a trip to reception. Luckily one of the reception staff kindly refunded the fee due to the inconvenience. It would be nice if it wasnt necessary to charge Gold's this fee in the first place.
I may need to return in March for work, hopefully it will be a bit more smooth sailing. Despite the cons, the resort and staff are truly lovely.

First stay at The Sheraton Mirage Gold Coast.
It was a birthday surprise, upon arrival found our room had been upgraded, which made a double wow for me!!
Our whole stay was perfect, from the minute we walked in to when we left - everything was fantastic.
The whole attitude of all staff was outstanding, whether they were under pressure or not, nothing was a problem. If things were extremely busy (Sunday Buffet Breakfast) all staff showed outstanding professional behaviour and just got things done with a minimum of fuss. A thank you from guests always goes a long way :)
A BIG thank you to you all, you made my birthday surprise even better!

With 2 children with nut & egg allergies, going on family vacations can be a nightmare, the kids hate to make a fuss and will quite often be happy to eat just the basic essentials. On this trip the staff at Sheraton Mirage were outstanding on making our children feel like nothing was a hassle and went out of there way in ensuring our children went away completely happy and satisfied. A big thanks to the breakfast crew in making egg free pancakes and the dinner crew in making a superb mango, blueberry and strawberry fruit salad. This type of hospitality was something we very much appreciated, a big thank you to the whole team.

The lobby area is the best part of the Hotel. Basically the room and all other common areas are very tired. The towels paper thin and scratchy and the bathroom very small and tired. Having booked to stay in a Marina suite - we were very underwhealmed.
The around pool areas very not well maintained - with areas fenced off for regeneration. In January one would think this to be one of the peak periods - wouldnt ready lawn simply be laid.
the upstairs bar was completely without atmosphere and or any kind of vibe. the whole experience apart from the friendly staff was a disappointment. Unfortunately i dont think we will be back.

We celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary by staying two wonderful nights at the Sheraton Mirage Resort and Spa on the Gold Coast last weekend. It is our favourite hotel and for good reason. The staff are genuine, warm and make you feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. An uncrowded, clean, patrolled beach is right at your doorstep, that is if you are able to drag yourself away from the resort pool and the poolside service. This stay was special, and the hotel staff did all they could to ensure that it was memorable, including a room upgrade that gave us sensational sunrises over the blue pacific ocean. General Manager, Mark Sexton delivers what we all expect from a 5 star hotel, which is the consistency. Not one area falls short. Other hotel brands can only just try. We are looking forward to going back soon, not for any special reason......just because we love it there.

The hotel's standard, facilities and staff were excellent. The room was great, the pool and other facilities at the hotel were first rate and the staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make sure that our stay was enjoyable. Every aspect of our stay was fantastic.

The location is excellent,the rooms large & comfortable,the beds divine,the service impeccable,the food is tasty & the gardens just beautiful!!!!We love to escape here 2 or 3 times a year & are never disappointed with our stays.It is indeed our"Mirage Paradise!!

Our stay was excellent up until we had breakfast.
Everything was really 5star - check in staff - ground staff - room presentation - function staff - then we went down for breakfast.
Firstly I joined SPG (on the request as check in to get a reduced price on b'fast @ $30).
This turned out to be $35. We were seated, asked if we wanted tea or coffee, coffee thanks. Then that was it - no explanation about the buffet. The coffee was absolutely awful. Kept having to ask for cutlery, then it was dropped on the table. The food was great but the service was atrocious. I would recommend to stay but don't eat b'fast there....

My favourite aspect of the Sheraton Mirage is the natural light that filters into the foyer and the Terraces restaurant. It gives a wonderful light and spacious feel and makes the pool look very inviting!

Stayed 3 nights in Villa 4236 which was immaculate, light, modern and very comfortable. Special discount rate of $499 per night plus breakfast for two for an additional $50 was exceptional value and substantially less than we have paid in the past for a 2br Villa. Restaurant and Room Service dining was all to a high standard and staff very friendly. Internet access was expensive for short term use, but $50 for three days on up to 3 devices was a better option. Girls recommended the Spa and the beachfront location is unique on the Gold Coast. Villa provides the perfect combination of hotel luxury with space and privacy.

The hotel offers excellent facilities, fine dining and excellent and friendly service. It has afforded a relaxing eight days stay. However the experience was dulled a little by a lack of information regarding the inclusions in the accomodation package offered.and an effort by the hotel to increase the room price to cover an alleged upgrade and breakfast. Had this been explained when the booking was made it could have been easily resolved. Next time I will ask more questions. Despite this the stay was enjoyable. The Oyster Bar and the pool service were highlights of the experience. The convenience of the Mirage Marina Shopping Centre was also an enjoyable experience..

The hotel looks grand when I stepped into the hotel.
Great scenery in & out.
Staff responsiveness is superb.
Slight improvement that could be improved.
First of all, the gym's signboard.
I cannot find the gym signboard even though I checked with the receptionist on location of gym.
Slight improvement for hotel room toilet. The door stopper is a nuisance.
I think it could be better.
Breakfast - adding some asian food would be ideal as well.

This was my husband's 4th stay and my 3rd stay at your lovely hotel. We had a lovely stay as per usual but we were a little disappointed as we had booked 2 nights, including breakfast and a late check out as per the package, for $335 per night and we didn't get the late check out. As I booked it 7 months ago and I put in my request that a late check out "as per the package" would be nice, I can tell you we were not impressed when we didn't get it'. I have had at least 3 emails from your hotel since booking with cheaper stay packages but I thought no I booked well in advance, we have been to the hotel a few times before, hopefully they will look after us but it didn't happen.

Much better athmosphere now and great service at arrival with outside concierge. General service is efficient and polite, not overdone.
Rooms are good and comfortable, Bathrooms still lack the necessary comfort (old bath and equipment- maybe difficult to rennovate?)
Breakfast service was a bit rough (not so caring and with a feeling of a mass tourist coffee shop service). The Buffet was nice but the standard coffee was poor.; suggest to put automatic coffee machines into service.
Dinner buffer was attractive but the 'a la carte' menue a bit boring (I would prefert to go and eat at Fellin in the Marina Mirage).

Each Christmas we take our staff to a Gold or Sunshine Coast resort. This year we went with 55 staff members to the Sheraton Mirage at Southport for 2 nights.
Within an hour of arrival, everyone was commenting on the efficiency and friendliness of the staff. The resort itself is thoroughly relaxing, but it's the staff that really make it special. They have obviously been well-trained, but also appear to love their jobs.
I usually don't sleep well in hotels and motels, but the beds here are gloriously comfortable.
I loved it.
My only criticism is that the food and drinks around the pool are a little expensive.

4/10/2014 (Dinner at Terraces)The richness of the sinfully mouth watering dishes, dishes that were executed perfectly, and the bright colors of the ingredients made it a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach.
We would like to thank Patricia and her team in section four (a huge thank you), they were very attentive, organised, professional in manner and service. We will be back and again request her section. Thank you Sheraton Gold Coast. superb setting for any meal.

Upon arrival we were given clear informative information about all the facilities. I loved the fact that the beach was so close and there is a running track, a pool with a bar! Our room was spacious and clean. The best nights sleep with no noise. Also the seafood buffet for dinner was amazing, the staff so incredibly helpful with food allergies. Only regret that we didn't stay longer, we will be back for sure. Thank you.

When checking in asked for ground floor room, check in person wanted me to pay $75/night more, 4th time staying there this year???? Service at the oasis Pool bar was shocking waited 1 hr for drinks at 11am in the morning, they need more staff out there. You should recognise frequent stayers thru you SPG system not treat them with contempt.

The Spa Studio looked impressive but air-
conditioning faulty and was rectified only on second evening; ensuite has no vetilation(exhaust) and added to the discomfort. Horizon x-mas day lunch, waitress managed to spill a glass of red wine over the back of my wifes dress. the chair was replaced promptly without much attention to the patron's dress. A menu would have been a help too, as the inexperienced staff did not explain the offerings they were serving. the pool and serounding areas need massive improvements to be a 5 star establishment.
You certainly have to improve for us tostay again in your establishment and recommend it to our o/seas friends, which we have done so over the past 20 years.

Recently I had the pleasure to re-visit the Sheraton Mirage Main Beach Qld for some respite & a conference. The Hotel had undergone a refurbishment in the prior 12 months and must say is outstanding in those areas completed. The service was 1st class from the Concierge to the Reception out to the Pool area and in the Dining area. I would not hesitate to take my family here for a holiday after observing other young families enjoying their time. I would suggest Companies to try the 5-star conference facilities with the evening dinner well catered. There was not one thing to complain about.

We had a very enjoyable stay overall. As usual, the room was good, with a nice sea view. The hotel facilities; the restaurant, pool, and bar, were of a high standard. The stay was slightly marred by a clerical error causing $1500 to be removed from my bank account ; although this is a holding fee, all the room costs had been paid in advance, and I am still awaiting for these funds to be released. I initially thought the money had been stolen from my account as the random sum removed is not labelled on the bank statement. I was very distressed at this point, and I ceased enjoying myself.

Sheraton Mirage @ The Gold coast has everything a family or individual would want on a holiday: clean rooms, courteous and efficient staff, and a location and setting that is both private and pristine. I went to the hotel with my children for my birthday, and the General Manager webt out of his way to make sure that the weekend was wonderful for both the children and I. The Buffet has a wonderful array of local foods - the A-la-carte menu is simple and elegant. We all had such a wonderful weekend, we will be returning as a family again very soon. The added bonus were the in-house swans that lived just near our room. They added a touch of elegance and stillness to the location. Well done Mark and your team..
