Rated 3 out of 5 by Concerns The room did not meet my expectations. The curtains and carpet were stained and the duvet was dirty at the bottom. I did mention to the desk clerk and a housekeeper. It was brushed off by the housekeeper as minor and "kids" dirtied the curtains from a previous stay. It wasn't taken care of. I didn't take the time and energy to deal with it . July 15, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good hotel at convenient location Room was very clean and well decorated. Bed was very comfortable. The desk chair had the vinyl covering coming off of it. I left Housekeeping a note and asked if they would change the chair. That same evening, there was a different chain and a note back from Housekeeping. I appreciated their taking care of the chair issue and acknowledging that they did. Jimmy V's is also a great place to dine and relax. July 15, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by A Perfect Stay! From the time that we arrived until eleven days later when we left, we probably experienced our best hotel stay ever! From Sarah and Christine up front (and ALL of the front desk staff) to the engineers and housekeepers throughout the hotel, friendliness, helpfulness and just plain old consider\ation for our comfort was first and foremost. I do not recall everyone's name but I do want to add a few names that do remain with me--along with the two previously mentioned ladies there was Sharon and Mousalin in the Club Lounge & Renee' from housekeeping. Basically, every employee whose path we crossed made our stay perfect and all should be applauded! July 10, 2014

Rated 2 out of 5 by Sorry I stayed here. The staff was wonderful except one front desk person. The room was dirty and expensive. The hotel was loud because of the ambulance station that is located next door. The halls were noisy most of the night because of the running and screaming of other guest. July 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfort, quality & location!! We stayed at this hotel for the first time over the weekend after seeing a concert at the Red Hat Amphitheater. Very nice facility with comfy beds and walking distance. We parked our car and forgot about it. Very friendly staff each time we were greeted. I highly recommend staying here! July 1, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Food & Beverage I must say the hotel was centrally located for our weekend needs and the service in the hotel was good! However, The room left me with a dirty feeling.. Mold/dirty grout in the bathroom! The Sunday breakfast was horrible! I'm am considering notifying the local Heath department on this experience! Employees handing ready to eat food with their bare hands after rubbing their nose and dirty aprons! Food on the buffet cold, dry and very low quality (this is a management issue). I bought the cold food to their attention...NO ONE even checked the temperature of the food! The waiter told the manager and he walked way!!! We had almost beg for the waiter to bring coffee, cream, syrup and he did we have a hard time getting refills! Either there is a lack of training or poor management. Our party of 12 walked away from this location rather dissatisfied! The dining experience was unacceptable. One other thing..If your Restaurant is going to offer a Sunday Buffet..then you should do it right..offer cooked to order eggs/omelets etc. another poor management decision. No memories created here! Rated 5 out of 5 by Delightful Stay in Raleigh, NC As a Starwood timeshare owner I try to stay in Starwood family accommodations whenever possible. I booked this property using starpoints due to the location of the hotelst which is across the street from the downtown convention center. I arrived at 7:45am for The Original Sewing Expo and was told I would be upgraded to a higher room by lunchtime. I came back at lunchtime and was placed on the 16th floor which is Club Level! That scored a plus for me! I asked for a refrigerator but by dinner time, it wasn't in the room and to my surprise, my luggage was missing! Apparently our room was needed by another guest and I was moved down the hall. I did have to wait for about 20 minutes for a bellman to bring the new room key but to my delight, everything was neatly moved and placed exactly in the same way I left it in the other room. A lovely appetizer plate, bottle of wine, glasses and a handwritten note explaining the circumstances were on my desk. I didn't have time to eat my dinner which I had ordered at Jimmy V's before heading up to my room to drop off some of my day's projects but the bellman took it to my room and placed it in the refrigerator. When I returned at 9:00 the hotel staff happily warmed my dinner and offered to buy me dessert. The music in the streets was happening outside so I chose to venture out and investigate. The homemade cupcake truck and TarHeel Creamery truck were there so dessert was especially delicious! The next day I had a delicious club level breakfast and a late checkout after my classes were finished at 4. I even had time for the snacks in the Club before heading home. The staff at this hotel went out of their way to accommodate me and even charged my phone at lunchtime because I had forgotten my charger. I can't wait to come back when the Durham Performing Arts Center Broadway season begins this fall! Thank you to Preston, Austin, Sarah and all who helped my stay be so enjoyable! June 29, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Needs free wifi in rooms I expect more from a full service hotel. I can pay $60 less a night to stay at a competitor hotel that is much less ritzy.... but this competitor would offer free wifi in the room, and a complementary breakfast. At a full rate, we should get wifi and at least bagels and coffee. June 27, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by The maid service needs improvement The maid service was very sub-par. Our bathroom was not throughly cleaned, garbage not emptied, water and glasses not replaced. Most annoyingly was the fact that the toilet paper was not replaced and correspondingly we had to go to the front desk to ask for more. June 26, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Did not meet expectations. First we reserve a rollaway bed 2 months ahead of time and when we arrived it was given to somebody else and nothing was available. The room was noisy you could hear the water in pipes through the wall. The room was dusty; and when we are in the room the cleaning lady opened our room saying she needs to clean because the room is noted dirty well it was dusty. No sheets were available when we requested extras . We were also billed for the rollaway bed we did not get; thank God we checked the bill. June 25, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by One of the best hotel staff team's we have ever encountered!! My wife and I stayed at your location last week during a Public Health Service national conference. Your team is incredible!! We wanted to specifically thank the following folks: Preston-front desk--he is a great first impression for your hotel!! Kelvin-Bell stand-- another dedicated professional Haskell- in the Jimmy V's Lounge- A true gentleman and great server. He made my wife's birthday celebration very special last week. Christine (VIP services) and Sharon in the Club Lounge--both were awesome and made our visits to the club lounge enjoyable. They also sent a wonderful gift to our room to celebrate Patty's birthday!! Totally unexpected and greatly appreciated. Overall, it is one of the best hotel teams we have had the pleasure to meet in our many years as Starwoods Members. Rated 2 out of 5 by Expected more Normally, I would not have to think twice about staying at a Sheraton Hotel. However, this particular location was not somewhere that I would personally choose to stay at again. We frequently visit Raleigh bc we have family there and we decided to stay at the Sheraton. First off, the gentleman that was assisting people with luggage was rude and acted as if we were bothering him asking if they offered valet and where we needed to park. Then as we tried to check in, the next gentlemen didn't even crack a smile, also acting as if he wished he were not being bothered by guests. As we stepped off the elevator headed to our room, I was immediately hit with the overpowering smell of marajuana (and the entire floor reeked of it). We went into our room, hoping to relax, but quickly noticed how disgusting the floors were and the giant hole in our bathtub. Needless to say, I wore socks and flip flops, refusing to walk barefoot. I do understand that some things are obviously out of their control and there was a graduation just a few blocks away. However, what is under their control was not being managed and therefore creating an atmosphere most people would not chose to pay that price to return to. I hope they make a change for the better because I certainly will not choose them on our future visits. June 12, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Experience We enjoyed our stay. In town for the animazement convention. Hotel is located directly across from the Raleigh Convention Center. All we had to do was walk across the street. Great restaurants w/in short walking distance and parking was also across the street. We didn't have to move our vehicle till we were leaving. Nice room, looking forward to 2015 event. Hubby already said we will absolutely stay @ this hotel again. May 29, 2014

I requested a roll away bed months ago, but wasn't able to get one during my stay, so the hotel gave me extra blankets so that we could have someone sleep on the floor!! May 28, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Putting forth good effort - needs remodel Positives - staff was super freindly and responsive. Bedding and linens are comfortable. Breakfast in the 17th floor club room was good. Negatives - plumbling was not working properly first night but was fixed promptly. Each night I tried to go to the 17th Club floor there was no one there serving wine. Also it would be nice to have ice available when the drinks are not cold. May 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT STAY ! Was recognized and upgraded at no charge to club facilities. Hotel was crowded with convention and prom kids, but never noisy or inconvenient. Hotel staff were excellent and recommended that we attend a nearby art fair. They had excellent local references etc. Great - would definitely stay again. Club room was nice and had all the amenities of the NYC Sheratons.... May 20, 2014

I also thought the morning cafe should have stayed open until the evening for small refreshments, since there was only on other restaurant on the premises. May 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hotel has great features and a great location I arrived at the Sheraton during a rain storm as soon as my car pull up hotel staff was there to help me. All the staff I interacted with was extremely courteous. The facilities was open and welcoming. The location of the hotel is easily accessible to restaurants and entertainment. May 19, 2014
