This my second stay at this hotel and both times I have used points and been upgraded to the Club Level (5th floor). Really nice staff, good pool and good food at the Club Lounge, so I will come back.

No club lounge, or at least I did not know about, or nobody told me anything about. Wish they had more tiles on the rooms instead of carpet, but that's my personal preference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BenjaminL An excellent airport hotel
I recently stayed at the Sheraton Providence Airport Hotel for a single night. My motivation for staying at the hotel was its proximity to the Providence airport. The hotel is only a two or three minute drive to the airport. I had not previously stayed at this hotel and was not certain what to expect. My experience ended up being excellent however, and I would (and intend to) definitely return.
As soon as I stepped into the hotel lobby I was greeted by a friendly clerk who took my name and then acknowledged my Starwood Gold status. After choosing bonus points as my amenity (the hotel offers free wireless internet to all guests) I checked into my room, which was extremely spacious and located on the Starwood Preferred Guests Level. The room had a king size bed, huge flat screen HDTV and two very large lounge chairs. I was also given club and executive level access (normally only platinum members get this, I believe), though because of how late I checked in I decided not to take advantage of this.
The hotel has a nice, though somewhat small, fitness center / pool area including about ten cardio machines (elliptical machines and treadmills), a rack of dumbbells, a nautilus-type machine and an assortment of swiss balls and other gym accessories. They also have many of the usual amenities like complementary towels and headphones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wav017 Great Stay Last Weekend!
I had a great time staying in your hotel. I loved the bar restaurant area. I thought the setup of that whole space was awesome (bar/restaurant/breakfast area)! Very inviting and welcoming! I really liked the breakfast buffet, too! Probably the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. The rooms were clean, quiet, and high quality. My only complaint was the pillows. There were no firmer pillows on the beds and they got to be a bit uncomfortable, but only a small thing. I really liked the cookies and juice set out in the afternoon. A very nice touch, and the lobby was a well kept, well organized space to relax. The staff was very friendly, too. One guy, I can't remember his name, but was younger with slightly longer black hair was always just extremely friendly and willing to go out of his way to help. That really enhanced my stay.
To be quite honest, your hotel was one of the best hotel experiences I've had. Everyone was great to us and facility setup and accomodations are near perfect in my view. I don't come to the area much, but your hotel would be the first name out of my mouth to anyone needing to head to the area! Thank you so much for an awesome stay last weekend!

My second time at this location. Just like the first time everything was great. When in the area again will stay here as everything is first class, what you expect from Sheraton.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GarySuzanne Great value for Providence Area outstanding staff
The hotel is about 15 minutes from downtown Providence in Warwick right near the airport. We happened upon it in 2012 looking for a hotel that offered free parking. The 3 stays we have enjoyed here, they offered us an upgraded room to their club floor. Our last stay here, September 2013, Michael at the front desk not only upgraded us but gave us a free complimentary breakfast for 2 & helped with our questions about area attractions. He greeted us with a big "good evening" and was extremely patient and helpful with all our requests. Every guest room is offered free internet access. Rooms on the club floor are clean & updated with good size, 42"?, HD TV. Bed was comfy. If you have club lounge access, ask for Alex. He seems to work all the time:) Greets everyone with a big smile & is extremely friendly and helpful. If you have a question about New England history, ask Alex. He has a wealth of information off the top of his head and even a greater love of history in general. We are starwood members & travel to alot of Sheratons. Alex's hors d’oeuvres are the BEST by far. Fried food is crisp not soggy and the assortment is impressive for free afternoon snacks. He makes the lounge feel like someone's living room. I can't remember all the employees names but we have yet to meet one that wasn't helpful and friendly. It is a great midway place to stay between Providence and Newport and a good solid value with terrific people. One last thing, we are from NY and tend to be critical of everything so when people and places leave an impression on us, it stays with us. We will be back everytime we visit the area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ski123 Great stay
This was our second stay here and we enjoyed it again. Our only disappointment was the breakfast in the club room over the weekend. There was little options between runny oatmeal and cereal. Fruit was sparse along with everything else. The club room was very messy too. The only reason I could see for this was that the hotel was overrun by cheerleaders that weekend so maybe they could not keep up with the demand. On the Monday morning breakfast there was a great selection and the club room was much better organized, and the cheerleading group had left the day before. One of the weekend mornings a manager came into the club room and apologized for the condition of the club room. The evening choices in the club room were fine and the desserts were wonderful. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Great value for the price paid. Comfortable room.

Rated 1 out of 5 by USBrit1 Another musty room
This is my second visit (stayed last year, Fall 2012) to this location. The main memory from my last visit was a musty room on the lower level, by the stains on the carpet it looked like water had come in through the window - which I was able to switch out of. Also the hotel was not secure - the side doors were never locked.
This visit I was not so lucky, I walked in to another musty room - possibly coming from the bathroom area and I was not able to switch out of it.
I have stayed in several Starwood hotels across the US and this one definitely needs a re-evaluation on the damp/musty situation. Luckily I brought my inhaler.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Susg pretty bad experience...
Got in quite late due to an accident on the highway, so did not really take a look at the room. In the morning we were getting ready for a conference to find some very questionable "stains" on the furniture.. more than one. The heater thermostat did not work and the temperature was always too warm for a good sleep.
The conference room was roasting hot and was never improved, even after several attempts by staff. The restaurant food was quite lousy, especially for the price- though the service was good.
The staff and front desk people did try to make things right, but there was only so much they could do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by rkckham Very nice Hotel
We stayed at the Sheraton while visiting the Boston, Newport areas. We were very happy with the hotel and the staff. We were given a room on the club level which is a very nice upgrade at no additional charge. We were traveling with two eleven year olds and they are always hungry or thirsty. The club room was always stocked with drinks and snacks. Breakfasts were always good, and evening snacks were yummy. Wednesday they offered adult beverages at No Charge, what a nice feature. The hotel is in a great location, 45 min. from Newport and I think about an hour or so from Boston. We would definatly stay there again.

Really well run hotel. Mike at the front desk always makes me feel welcome and has my room ready. Doreen and everyone in the restaurant knows all my dietary needs and of course my favorite drinks. When in providence, I wouldn't stay anyplace else. It's like my own version of Cheers!
Thanks to all the staff for helping this road warrior keep his spirits high when far from family and home.

Starting with the positive... the staff were extremely friendly upon check in and went out of their way to point out the amentities.
My challenge was the door to my room didnt seem to lock as securely as I would like and as a female travelling alone that doesnt feel great. There was a chirping sound outside my room that sounded like a smoke detector that needed a new battery. I did call the front desk and they said they would sent their maintenance guy up, well the chirping was still going on when I checked out the next day. It was very distracting and kept me up all night.

The front desk staff were very professional and nice... the only thing I would recommend is to ask the clients if they need any help with the luggage I grabbed the bell cart (which was fine) and did my own bellman work. Again other than that it's a nice hotel

I have been re-assigned to a new sales territory back in August of 2011 and I chose this Hotel for its great location And having stayed there several times before. I stay practically every other week, and the Staff did not take long to recognize me and call me by name.
Olga at the Front desk could not be more welcoming and helpful, the Club lounge staff both morning and evening are just lovely people, engaging and helpful. They take an interest in how my day is starting and ending.
Starwood Brands are all quite nice in there physical appearance but it is the people that bring me back.

I expected more. The walls, I was on the club level, are paper thin and noise level was high. HVAC system was dated and annoying. The bed was not typical Sheraton comfortable. The hallway was littered with dirty dishes at 9pm and were still there at 9am the next morning. On a positive note, the staff was great.

Eric Berlied has been nothing short of paramount in his dedication to the customer. He has no "On/Off Duty" he is constantly there to help no matter the time. He should be the standard in "Hotel Customer Service" in the industry. He along with the staff have produced no matter how small to the best outcome possible that was within control of them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Pinky43 Location to Airport Rental Car Drop Off
This hotel is very close to gas station and the airport rental car drop off (only a few blocks away) without any hassle. BIG PLUS! However, other than a good restaurant inside the hotel, restaurants et al are not within the short walking distance. This clean hotel looks old and needs new facelift! Room is very good. However, for my wife's severe vision impairment and NIGHT blindness, there were several dark spots in room so maid provided several extra lamps which were VERY HELPFUL.
Food in inside hotel restaurant is excellent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BigBill Better than expected
In a smaller major city, at the airport one expects some let down. This hotel's staff more than makes up for the not yet upgraded rooms, furniture & fixtures that Sheraton is performing throughout the line. 5-8 years ago, most of the established Sheratons were showing their age, but the new renovations are jut great. This hotel is in process (Work area, restaurant/bar are upgraded), rooms are still a little in need of an update. The staff is one of the most cheerful I have encountered. I stayed multiple nights, so the staff was consistent.
Not only close to airport, off I-95 it is a generally convenient location, it is appreciated to have a more budget priced place to just "hang your hat " and sleep sometimes.
There were many obviously regular customers in the Club.

The Sheraton is a reasonably priced clean facility that is convenient to the airport and the greater Providence area. It isn't luxurious but is a great value for the price.

I took my family and it was wonderful, the front desk was great, they are very nice and friendly, the staff was great, everything you need in a hotel is there, you could see the planes, the pool was great, the gym was great, the food was great. My family and i had a real good time at this hotel and everything fun is couple minutes away. I will do it again soon. My daughter forgot her G-Shack watch and the next day i called and house keeping already had it at the front desk for us to pick up, honest people. Love it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JOHNSPG Convenient locations and nice staff, but...
If you are flying in or out of Providence, this hotel is in a very convenient location - close to the airport with easy access to I-95 and downtown. The staff is very nice and helpful and they have a nice fitness facility.
But, the rooms are a bit dated, worn out, and not up to average SPG standards. Food in the restaurant is quite mediocre. If you do eat there, don't bother ordering a salad: I've tried three and always gotten wilted, warm lettuce that didn't look fresh even though the price was quite high.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Loritep Hotel Great But Staff Surpassed All
We had a terrific stay at the hotel. It was very clean, our room was ready when we arrived and the food in the restaurant was great, but I have to say the best part of the stay was the outstanding staff at the hotel. From arrival we were warmly greeted and taken care of, staff members passing in the hallway had warm smiles and hellos, the maid service were wonderful and very accommodating. It was a really great stay and we would highly recommend the hotel and will definitely stay again. Thank you!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by pharmgrl Nice surprise
Checked-in around 6pm and extremely tired from driving up from NJ. Was upgraded to club level but we had to meet family for dinner at 6:30. Room was as expected, clean and quiet. Only thing I didn't like was the toilet; it had like a gray unsightly stain in the bowl. The manager at check-in is very sweet (don't remember her name but she's from California) and they had lemon water and fruit at check-in; very refreshing. The next a.m. we had breakfast and it was pretty good. Thanks for the upgrade.

Jessica at the front desk was amazing, however the rest of the staff was not. Breakfast attendants were terrible the two girls that work the morning shift I don't know their names were terrible. There were no bowls or plates and it was not at all busy . The girls were practically hiding in the back of the kitchen I had to almost walk in the back for plates. The dinner was terrible also there was one server for breakfast and he also doing room service. I waited more than an hour for my food and when it came his excuse was he the only one and there was a flight canceled so that's why he was so busy. There were only two other people in the restaurant besides me and they were also very upset. I have never seen such terrible service. If it weren't for Jessica I would never return to this property.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Manju I will not stay here again!!!!!!
I am an out of town businessman, who owns his own business, and travels at least 1 week of every month to RI. I've stayed at many of the other hotels in the area, based on special offers, but this hotel was one of the worst. My list of problems during my 1 week stay: TV channels did not work during the whole week, instead of having FOX news channel in the room, it was replaced with R TV, the Russian channel, however, FOX news does play in the lobby, on Tuesday, the maid never cleaned my room, my breakfast in the dining room, included toast that was as hard as a rock, the ice maker on the third floor does not work, just provides watery ice or none at all, the room door has a large space around the edge that you can see thru, to the hallway. This hotel, by no way, provides the comfort of home!!!!!

1, check in was okay. i never heard or never had the experience that spg guests (whom own time share 2 bedroom) are not allowed to use Club Lounge unless you pay 30.00. I have never heard of this and if you go onto to spg. com it does not say that. Alex in club lounge is the best, very professional and personable. Thanks Alex The bay was awesome!!!!The outside pool area should be kept up nicer so people can sit out there and enjoy the sun/shade it was dirty, no umbrellas and not relaxing.
