Rated 4 out of 5 by Internet access could be better The internet access is not the best. You either need to reconnect everyday and have a low end connection or spend money to receive supposedly better service. The service in not everywhere and you need to change network connections as you move through out the hotel. With the cost of the rooms and I'm there for a business conference, I don't understand why I need to pay additional money. I'm also a SPG member and think this should be one of my benefits. Rated 3 out of 5 by Beautiful Hotel The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are large and nice. The staff is very friendly. The bar is over priced. There was a giant puddle of water on the floor in our hotel room, the staff only put a towel on it. And the room was FREEZING cold as soon as we got in, and all night long. The thermostat was not working properly. August 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Above and Beyond While I was on business, my husband (who had recently had an accident) was not. I was given an early check in so he didn't have to hang around the lobby waiting for me to get back from an appointment and an extended check-out time a couple of days later so he could enjoy the first round of the Masters in our room while waiting for me to finish for the day. It was really good to have him close at hand in case of a problem and also to know that he could be comfortable and private. Many thanks to the Sheraton Cavalier for accommodating our special needs. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great upgrade for Platinum member I was at hotel for quick get away with my family Aug 03. Even I booked a regular room, but the hotel had upgraded to Jr Suite which is fantastic. I also had a late check out to 2pm, which give my kids another run at hotel water park. Overall it was a great experience for us. Thanks You August 6, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Renovations I have stayed at this hotel many times before, but it had been a little while since my last stay. The renovations conducted since my last stay were starting to be needed and aside from rejuvenating things they have added some very nice upgrades - glass shower and pull-out couch. My TV was not working properly so I called the front desk and fairly quickly maintenance arrived. Unfortunately it took two replacement TV's to get things rectified - no fault of maintenance though. Beyond that, things were one again enjoyable - I was given a room on the 7th floor that looked towards the mountains - beautiful to go to bed to and to wake up to. While on business this time, I will be back with the family so we can enjoy the Hotel's waterslides! April 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for the whole family We chose to do the zoo pack deal which made the room quite affordable and the trip was a blast for all with the combination of visiting the zoo and spending time in the pool and waterslides. Kids are already asking to go back. The room was pleasant and staff was friendly. August 5, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nicely updated This was the first time our family stayed at this hotel. We chose it due to the proximity to the zoo. The lobby areas and guest rooms are very nicely updated. Our bathroom was on the small side. The buffet in the Colours bistro was disappointing. Our kids loved the water slides, but as a parent I really wished the area was a little cleaner and more updated to match the rest of the hotel. Prices in the convenience store/gift shop area were high but service was good. June 29, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Charges The hotel is ok but I drank a bottle of water out of the room and paid cash for it but I got billed anyway. I called and they assured me it would be removed. it has not been removed so I called again and was assured it would be removed. It has been a week and the charge is still there. For some reason I seem to be failing at this, I am calling them again to attempt to get this fee that I have paid removed from my bill. I had bad luck getting to the airport with all the construction, nearly missed my flight. I will not stay there again September 19, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Carvers staff borderline rude Myself and 4 colleagues , all Starwood Platinum members dined at Carvers during our stay. Hostess very unfriendly, looked down her nose at us for not having a reservation. The restaurant was 1/3 full the entire evening. 1 colleague was late and the hostess kept threatening to take away one of our tables if our colleague didn't arrive soon(we had a table for 2 added to a table for4). There were 10 empty tables for 2 the entire evening! She didn't need our table, she just wanted to be rude. Not the 1st time this type of attitude was displayed by the same employee. Some training in politeness and appropriate way to treat loyal customers is definitely in order. Been staying at this hotel for years and the rest of the staff is always so helpful and friendly. Rated 4 out of 5 by Disappointment with Carver's I was eating by myself and wanted a couple glasses of wine during dinner and then was going to have one back in my room. As a result is waslooking at the bottles. I was disappointed to find that there was not one bottle under $40. What was even disappointing was what you were charging for the bottles. There was Wine O' Clock from Oliver, BC. I have purchsed it before in the liquor store for less than $10 a bottle. Carver's price was $45. I understand there is a mark up. Usually I experience a double mark up. To mark up the wine 4.5 times is ridiculous. This was very frustrating and now it makes me think twice about returning. I still bought a bottle of wine with my meal and so my bill came to over $100 plus tip. I was at the mercy of Carver's wine menu. January 26, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Family Fun The Sheraton has great family fun. With pleasure also comes business. Todays work world doesn't stop, a feature that would have been nice at the Sheraton would have been full service wifi, not lite at no extra charge. The Sheraton is a great place for the family the pool is great, but no people were in it because it was cold. Waking up to beer cans out the front door entry in the planters was not so family friendly. We understand that the Sheraton provides lots of banquet functions, but seeing broken glass and beer cans is not what I want my children to see first thing in the morning. Overall we had a great time. The new life jackets were wonderful. And provided at no charge was nice. Thank-you for the new suite and coffee, overall happy with our stay and we will be back. Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice reno, but honesty is the best policy When I checked in after midnight I was told that I had been upgraded (yay) to a suite (#745). I told the clerk that the only thing I cared about was quiet, don't care about views or anything else. She assured me directly that it was a quiet room. Perhaps but the elevator shaft next door kicked into gear in the early hours and my sleep was awful. There is no way that room could be considered quiet and she lied directly to my face. Bad show SPG and certainly not what I usually experience at your hotels. January 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfy and Classy This is the third time I have been to the Sheraton Cavalier in Calgary for business. The hotel is easy to get to, just off the Deerfoot trail and surrounded by many restaurants if you wish to eat outside the hotel. Some of my group ate at the hotel bar and the food was delicious and the service very good. This trip our meeting was in the McKnight East boardroom. This room is perfect for smaller groups, we had 30 folks at our meeting. The meeting rooms have all been refurbished since our last visit and wow, very nice. New comfortable chairs and beautiful lighting. The staff are first class, polite and attentive. Martin our coordinator couldn't have done enough for us. The guest rooms are large and bright with wonderful beds,very comfortable mattress with pillows that you just melt into! October 29, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by Good for family staycation Enjoyed 2 nights this past weekend in a king suite. Kids rated pull out sofa as comfy (2 boys). Suite could have used one more arm chair/lounger. Room updated nicely but for the price I was paying,and the quality expected, they should talk to the contractor to tidy up the loose ends. The king bed was ok, pillows, while plush, were too soft.But that is only our preference. Enjoyed eating at Colors (shouldn't it be colours...;), and room service from same was very good. Price was as reasonable as family restaurant just down street.Kids enjoyed pool area,wifi was very good. We'll come back, but probably just book 2 adjoining rooms (for same price range).Also, it was easy to find and lots of amenities close by.Would have preferred fridge not filled with mini bar items and requiring a key, but over all, clean and fun. Rated 5 out of 5 by One small problem I found this hotel extremely helpful for my needs. the one small problem we had was our key. It did not work most times in the elevator and 2 times would not open the door. We were on the third floor and found it very irritating. I have a bad knee and a lot of extra walking. The pool was amazing and the tickets for Calaway were awesome. The front desk let us get an early check in and that was great. June 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This Hotel was excellent This Hotel was amazing, any one with kids would enjoy this place. my kids loved it because of the indoor water park, rooms were clean and well maintained, The bed was very comfy. We ended up getting the calaway package, if u plan on staying at this hotel and u have kids I would get there package. My calaway package included one night, 2 adult tickets and 2 kids ticket to calaway park and $25.00 food voucher for the Hotel . My next trip to Calgary I will be staying at this Hotel. Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Hotel I enjoyed staying at the Sheraton by the Calgary Airport. The hotel is very large so there are a lot of things you can do right inside the hotel- swimming, pubs, dinner, etc. The pool looked like it would be alot of fun and the view from the rooms were great. The only problem I had was I was next door to the lounge on the 8th floor so at sometimes it was loud or I could hear the door opening and closing which made my sleep a little uncomfortable as it is open 24 hours. Rated 4 out of 5 by Booking doesn't matter Despite pre booking a room prior to travel we arrived and were told the room we booked was sold out. There was zero effort to accommodate our needs and we were forced to take a different room. in the the end the room worked out though quite typical of any hotel we have stayed in with exception to the view which was quite stunning. Very disappointed in the restaurant! No food we wanted, reeked of deep fried garlic from the over rated pasta bar and very expensive. August 17, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by For Only One Night When I fly into Calgary the Sheraton Cavalier shuttle picks me up from the airport(please provide a tip to the driver, this is just plain Canadian courtesy), if the shuttle is going to be twenty minutes or more the general manager(Curtis Fernets) has agreed to refund the receipts to have a taxi bring me to the Sheraton Cavalier. Upon entering the clean glass entry doors and meticulously detailed entry(Stampede week is the only acceptation), I am greeted by the Staff with the best in class business respect in the hotel industry. I chat the staff up about what their passionate about(HINT:just below their name on the name badges). I am upgraded to the Club floor with all the requests I have made through my SPG account. Get to my room do a quick survey of the housekeeping(great job by the way). Setup my laptop on the complementary internet. Head down to the Core Performance Gym and get my workout completed. Go back to my room clean up and head to the Club Lounge and have some appetizers and meet some new friends in the Club Lounge. Read the local paper and wonder back to my room for the night.The Staff arranges a taxi ride for me in the morning, and by request, phones my room to ensure this is completed before I retire for the evening. To Anyone Reading This Post: The best thing I ever did was become an SPG member(by the way to join is FREE!) Platinum membership has it's benefits. Have a Safe Intentional Travel Experience With SPG.
