The Sheraton Puerto Rico (Convention) was a fabulous place to stay for the recent conference I attended. The rooms were incredibly clean and comfortable. The staff were very kind, courteous and caring. I highly recommend this hotel to all guests considering a stay here. I have travelled to many places in the world and have stayed at many hotels. This hotel ranks at the highest level. The conference facilities and services were also outstanding and the food was absolutely wonderful and nutritious. Trish New Zealand

I have stayed at SPG properties around the world and have truly never felt so appreciated at guest and an SPG Platinum member!
All levels of the Hotel team were so attentive and welcoming. I have stayed at this location a few times for business but this last trip was my first for pleasure. And boy was it ever...a pleasure!
Great location and central to everything. With such a great pool and excellant amenities you could stay in the hotel, but there is so much to see and do.
Thank you for a great stay from me and my familty. Joel, you made our stay perfect!!!

From the time we checked in, until the day we checked out the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Hector at the front desk even played along when our traveling companions - who arrived before us - asked him to give us a message..."that we were the last team to arrive and had been eliminated from the race!" William and Gabriel greeted us in the mornings outside for taxi or coach service for our excursions and the pool bar staff made lunches and poolside time most enjoyable. The conference centre staff did an amazing job! We were so happy to thank them all and quite pleasantly surprised when they were asked to come into the banquet room and the ENTIRE staff paraded in. Well deserved thanks was passed along to them all. The accomodations were comfortable and clean and complimentary wifi made it easy to stay connected to work and home. Overall, a great experience.

Asked for door repair and extra towels on 1st day never happened
Most of the food was poor to fair. Choices was acceptable, but way overpriced. You can not have a buffet with only one entrée choice and yet charge $20-25
Internet outages on conference floor were a MAJOR impediment
2nd floor conference facilities were outstanding

We stayed at this hotel for a week in May for a conference. It is a busy place, "well used". The staff do a good job maintaining the site. The carpet in the rooms is highly trafficed- and the furniture is far from new- but again the staff attention to cleanliness and guest needs makes up for the wear.
The pool is wonderful, again well staffed with great attention to detail. The view from the 12th floor club lounge was great, and made for a wonderful breakfast venue.
I was in PR to attend the World Forum on Early Care and Education. There were over 800 participants and the hotel staff handled the population flawlessly. Each snack and supper buffet was beautiful and the food was fresh and tasty. They did everything from keeping frozen juice bars to roasting a pig on a spit... for over 800 people from over 80 countries- a very well done conference- from A/V needs, foods and making people always feel welcome from early morning to past midnight. Fabulous place for a large conference.

Enjoy great service while focusing on your event. Good sound system in the main ballroom and convenient breakout rooms gives organizers a lot of flexibility. Choices, the onsite restaurant, offers a tasty selection.
Bus and taxi service to take you into the city and Old San Juan for more choices.

I stayed in a "Club level room" -- and while the club lounge was nice with great amenities, the room I stayed in was smaller than most Sheraton rooms in other hotels and quite ordinary. The dining room was average, but I do want to emphasize that every staff member was fantastic and I was there for 4 days so I met a lot of the them,
The internet connection in the business lounge was deplorable -- that needs attention.

I do not like the Resort fee disguised as a hotel service fee at 16% i am not sure what service you provided for this fee.

the lounge at the Sheraton San Juan is the worst i have seen. You will not get a glass or wine unless you pay. No reason to stay or even pay for a club loung floor or benefit.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 2LNR Keep wanting to like this hotel but too many problems with poor follow-up
I use this hotel for business. Each time I am there is yet another issue(s) that just keep making me so frustrated.
For my arrival last week, I had a relatively new person check me in. While he greeting me as a Platinum, he didn't seem familiar with platinum benefits or how to handle a conflict with my companies breakfast. He said that someone would call me in the am by 7:00am. No one called. I went downstairs to inquire and no one knew what to do. Later that morning, the very nice and knowledgable Cynthia called, but I had already eaten breakfast.
Later that day, I went down to say that I had not received my "green card" for opting out of room cleaning. Was told no problem, I'll go ahead and post the 500 points. Even after double checking before I checked out, no points ever posted. I tried calling just yesterday to try and resolve and after being transferred 2x and on hold, I just gave up. Congratulations, you win. Keep the points.
Prior stays have included the room category books not being available at checkin and disappointment when staff doesn't contact you after being told someone would.
Again, I keep wanting to like this hotel, but it appears that the cruise customer is their top priority and that if you are there on business you are an annoyance.

All categories were examples of the excellent Starwood Quality we have grown to expect. May I suggest more shade areas provided on the Pool Deck. Once sun passed over building shade was very hard to find. this is coming from a fair skinned person. Had a terrific visit.

Katherine (cafe) is amazing--we absolutely loved her! It was my first trip to Puerto Rico and she was so helpful, walking me and my boyfriend to the bus stop and giving us a map of Old San Juan--circling all of the places we needed to visit. She made us feel welcome and made sure we were having a wonderful time.
Our bartender (I'm so sorry but I can't remember his name) was also very friendly and offered us maps and magazines.
I work at a property in Colorado and I have to say that it's employees like this that make me want to do my job well and be the best I can be. The staff at your property take ownership of your property and seem very proud to be there. It's inspiring and they made our vacation that much better. Thank you!!

I have to say with out a doubt Melissa in the Club is THE BEST!!! The entire staff at this hotel was real GREAT... Everyone was ready and willing to offer suggestions of places to visit, explaining in detail what beaches to visit. This was a great vacation THANKS to all the staff....

At first the person at the front desk was very accomodating and was able to upgrade me to a nicer room as i was staying 11 nights. However, the TV was not working properly, the carpet was dirty and there was a noice form the bathroom that was never addressed. Only one manager called the day before my last day to apologize. The staff was not friendly at all and service overall was poor given the elegance of this hotel.

Other than expedited check-in, I do not feel like a valued gold member any more. Not only was the room tiny and had no deck after requesting a larger one for my family, but we were not even placed on a high floor thus we had to look at dense palm trees outside of our window during our stay. I called to request a change but never heard back from anyone. Increasingly I just don't feel like my loyalty is appreciated at this and other SPG hotels - I am going to start looking at other hotels. Nice hotel overall hotel, but just lacking any sort of connection with me - I was a spring break #.

I had the opportunity to stay at the Hotel several times with my adult children when on vacation to the Island. Great location near to all metro area venues. My children would go out and about meet friends and take a cab back to the Sheraton. I would stay and enjoy my time at the casino. Staff very friendly and attentive to my needs.

This hotel was great. Rooms were large and very clean. Staff was very helpful. Location is excellent to the Old Town.Next time I travel to San Juan I would not think of staying at any other hotel but the Sheraton in Old San Juan.

We were dissapointed with our room. The cabinets looked like they had water damage. The veneer was pulling up from the cabinet. Just looked cheap, considering what we paid I would have thought it would look better.

I have stayed here several times and enjoyed it. This time my room was dirty - there was hair and dirt on the pillow, hair on the bathroom floor, mold in the tub, tape stuck to the wall and my desk was damaged. Don't think I will be back.

I usually stay every year in this Hotel with my wife. This time the experience wasn't good. We stayed in Room 1119 and overall room was good except the bathroom. The bathroom door didn't locked so there wasn't privacy. Also the bathroom extractor wasn't working.
On another topic, I was promised as SPG gold member a welcome cocktail voucher. They never gave me the voucher.
Finally, the checkout day, I called from my room to request a bellboy to help us with our luggage. We wait in our room for about 30 minutes and no one came. I went to the lobby and for my surprise front desk never passed the message to the appropriate person. For those reasons, at this time, I DO NOT recommend this hotel.
