We stayed here in April 2012. We have never been to Baltimore before, but what a beautiful city! The Sheraton is within walking distance to the Inner Harbour where there is so much to do and see.
We were impressed with the staff and expecially Kim! We were treated like royality there and would definatly come back!

The check-in was horrible. I waited in the advertised SPG Preferred line for 15 minutes listening to another hotel guest dispute a deposit with two front desk reps and a manager. When they finally finished, I was told that they only had one line and to go to the end of the other line that they only had the preferred line when they had sufficient staff (Well, they had 3 people behind the counter not including the manager). I was never offered anything at check-in for my SPG Gold status (no points or drink or internet). We arrived in a room that we actually were in just months prior and found the same issue with the running toilet and at times, no water, no hot water, and/or no cold water. The front desk said they welcomed the feedback because they are dealing with the city with that problem. What??!! For several months? A city problem? Give me a break. When I finally requested a late checkout of 2 pm, the front desk said that they could only give SPG Gold guests late checkouts till 1pm. I had to show the front desk rep my cell phone that properly stated that I had, no limitations, till 4pm as a Gold Member and I only wanted till 2pm. This is not the service and quality that I expect from Starwood/SPG.

Stayed here for one night as a local staycation. Did not realize when I booked that there was a Phillies/Orioles game in town the same night so the hotel was 100% booked.
That said the hotel was 100% on the ball. They had a separate gold/platinum line that was enforced and had separate clerks from the regular line so I got checked in in less than a minute even though the regular line was crazy long. I was upgraded to a deluxe corner on a SPG floor which was generally speaking a nice room except not only was there little soundproofing from the outside, but the windows were padded with foam, and the blackout shades did not close over the entirety of the windows! (To the hotel's credit, it did place earplugs on the bedside table.)
The club lounge was great, especially loved the soy milk that was available 24hrs. The valet staff (contracted) was very friendly and efficient given they were dealing with a full house.
Overall, very well done, but not perfect, hence 4 stars and not 5.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JRB28 Great Staff, Poor experience
When I arrived, the hotel was completely booked and there were no rooms ready. I did not get into a room until 2AM.
However, the staff was extremely professional, caring and nice even with irate guests yelling and cursing at them.
I would stay again based on the professionalism of the staff.

I left a very good review when I checked out of the hotel 2 weeks ago, because I felt staff were friendly and helpful.
2 weeks later, I found out that although I particiated in the 'Make a green choice' event but the points were not added into my startwood card, which is not a big deal, as long as I can work with the hotel to sort it out. So I have spent my whole morning calling the hotel, only got told that they can do nothing after I checked out. Yes, I get that, but wasn't that something you should have done properly when I checked out? I actually did get confirmed before I left the hotel that this is all handled. But during my calls with the front desk, all i was told is the staff has done correctly what they were supposed to do and they can do nothing about it after I checked out. Seriously? not even a 'Sorry' or offering help to check with SPG to fix your mistake? The attitude is Unbelievable. I don't normally leave negative reviews, but this is way beyond my experience with any hotels. I am sorry but I have to leave this comment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by dan67 Room = Good, Club Lounge = Fail
Stayed here for one night this past week, and given business travel to Baltimore, will most likely be staying here quite a bit for the foreseeable future.
As a SPG Platinum, I was please to find that I was put in a very large, top floor, corner room. The room was very clean, and included a fridge and microwave (both a surprise to me).
The Club Lounge, however, failed miserably.
It appears that they're doing some kind of work on the Lounge, as the door had painter's tape and primer on it. But that is no excuse for the failure of a Club Lounge experience I had. Breakfast and Evening Hors D'oeuvres hours are posted outside, yet at both times, there was no food out whatsoever, aside from a few Nature Valley Bars. This is a huge letdown, and is one of the reasons I typically choose Sheratons. Yes, there were stocked sodas & waters, but when you specify breakfast and hors d'oeuvres, then you should follow through. Assuming this was not a hotel oversight, I should have been notified upon checking in, especially since the check-in staff notified me if the location of the Club Lounge!
Aside from the Lounge issues, the hotel seems generally clean (my room seemed recently renovated) and is centrally located to most B'more attractions. The neighborhood leaves little to be desired in the evening (CVS & Walgreen's close at 7??? Without a car, I would have hoped for more open amenities nearby). A few good restaurants nearby, but plan a walk or cab ride out a number of blocks to find things that are open.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Globalgirlster Hotel Needs A Reno -- STAT!
I stayed at the Sheraton Baltimore City Center recently for a conference and I was disappointed at every turn.
The condition of my room (401) was deplorable. The toilet seat in the bathroom had cigarette burns on it (ouch!). The drapes wouldn't close completely so I was subjected to cold drafts and street noise all night long. A freak snowstorm blew in while I was there so my room was a particularly cold and I had to keep the thermostat up high which dried out my skin.
Housekeeping was also abysmal. I was in conference sessions all day but sometimes I would need to grab stuff from my room in between meetings and my room was never cleaned before 4pm (crazy!). The conference ended midday on the final day and I called housekeeping to ask them to clean my room while I went out to lunch with colleagues (I wanted to work in the room that afternoon). I was gone for 2 hours and when I returned my room STILL hadn't been cleaned. So much for asking. To add insult to injury, housekeeping woke me up at 7:30am on the morning I was due to check out to ask if they could clean my room. Are you kidding me? Very unprofessional and rude, to say the least.
Overall, the facilities are dated and run-down. I brought my bathing suit but there was no way I was willing to try the pool given my poor experiences with housekeeping. The staff was polite but not very interested in making my stay more pleasant or comfortable. I thought I'd receive some recognition as an SPG member, but no one seemed to care.
The hotel location is in the middle of nowhere; we had to take cabs to Inner Harbor or Little Italy for dinner. I didn't feel safe walking around after dark.
I travel frequently for business and this hotel just doesn't cut it in terms of comfort, safety, or convenience. I'd recommend staying at the Inner Harbor property rather than this one.
